Shambala Desert View
My stay here was peaceful and pleasant. The hosts are so friendly and accommodating! It's perfect for both vans and tent campers. They have a wonderful vision for this place, like a tiny art room for guests and a library of books on religions and philosophies. They have a medicine wheel and are just about to finish their labyrinth. Not only will you find it calming here, it's a place that invites you to make art. I look forward to seeing how this property evolves.

Shambala Desert View
Shambala Desert View is the perfect hidden gem in the desert!
Tim and Deborah were phenominal hosts and will make you feel like you're at home the minute that you enter their property.
They gave us a tour of the property which includes a patio area that has a propane grill, large table, gas firepit, and ambient lighting hung from the rafters.
There is also a flush toilet located in a laundry room separated from the house and they had bundled wood available for $5 per bundle.
Another part of what makes this spot so great is that while you get the
clean air, starry skies, and the quiet desert, you're also extremely close to some great attractions!
Just 30 minutes from Big Bear Lake, about 35 minutes to The Integratron/Giant Rock, and about an hour to Joshua Tree Nat park entrance.
However, if you would rather just hang out around the town or at your site you'll still have a wonderful and relaxing time.
The sites are clean and well maintained, you have a large area that you're weclome to explore,
and Tim and Deborah can give you suggestions for local hikes and restaurants if you're interested.
Deborah practices Reiki and they have plans in the future to turn this spot into a retreat center
complete with labyrinths, a meditation area, medicine wheel, and full moon drum circles!
we will definetly be back again soon (Hopefully for a drum circle!). Thank you again for having us, and for being so welcoming!
