If you stayed here and have some insider info for us, let us know!
This campground really has everything you need! Showers, electric and water hook ups, fire pits, picnic benches, wifi and even a bar that's open on weekends and club house with events like bingo night!! There's also a communal grill to make your dinner and even a covered patio with lots of seating to eat in the shade during a sunny day in the desert.
One of my favorite parts about this campground is that it's super close to the entrance into Joshua Tree NP and walking distance to all the great shops and restaurants in town.
Wayne was such a great camp host and he's always available to make sure you have everything you need. Super friendly staff as well that'll make you feel right at home.
We really had a great stay while we were here, and I look forward to coming back again soon!
The JT Sportsman's Club was just as represented, and much like other lodges of its type. The weekend camp hosts were great, as was Wayne when I met him checking out.
When I arrived, the host met us and was friendly. She advised that the wifi would be coming from the building to the southwest, the restrooms & showers were in the building to the southeast, and the darker end of the park was the east side. I was also given a 'key' for the water spigot, and the wifi security info.
I got to pick my own spot, so I parked in the northeast corner, hooked up quickly and easily, and was pleased to find everything quite clean and tidy from the rv sites to the bathooms.
I would definitely stay here again, and plan to do so in the future for such events as the Club's annual Fall & Spring Gem, Mineral, Rock, and Craft shows.
Immediately upon arrival, an arrival which is pretty late at night, like 7 p.m. after dark, I was greeted by Wayne and Brenda who were so kind and helpful. They keep a Sandlot probably about the size of a school baseball field open for anyone to park and pitch a tent or Park their RV. They had firewood for $5.99, brought over a free picnic table, and a free fire pit for us to start our fire. There's a bathroom with sinks, toilets, and showers with hot water like right next to the lot. They they were super friendly, allowed us to come and go even past their quiet hours at 10 p.m., and even gave us a key if we needed to come back in late. It is situated next to a baseball field and Community Center, kitty corner to a small what appears to be retired living apartment complex. I might be wrong about the Last Detail, but either way, my phone is to say that it is really quiet, and only a block away from the road that takes you to the Joshua Tree entrance, which is another about 10 to 15 minute drive away. It's right off the main strip which has a ton of fun activities, art galleries, and even a saloon / bar. I would definitely stay here again! Thank you Wayne and Brenda for hosting us :-) it was awesome!
Friendly and clean
We absolutely loved our stay over New Year’s weekend! The bathrooms were clean and our site felt private. Brenda was very accommodating and kind. Thank you!
