I have owned this property for 20 years and we have put a lot of time and energy into making it very family friendly so that people can come camp with a picnic area and barbecue, clean bathrooms, places to put your horses and dogs as long as they're on a leash. We create a great western experience and you will not be disappointed.

Jon and his ranch are awesome! He found us the perfect spot and also gave us an awesome tour of the farm for our kids and even got a camp fire for them for s’mores. Very clean facilities and close to all the action the lakes, mountains, three rivers etc. his farm is awesome too! Great getaway during covid and staying away from those crowded sites.

Campsite was very clean. The ranch and orchards are really beautiful. We met Jon’s colleague who showed us around. The campsite is on nicely kept grass and there was a pavilion that gave shade and a nice spot for us to sit and hang out in the evening. Do note this is definitely a ranch with a lot of live animals. If you’re there when there are tons of animals it’s pretty noisy at night. Most of the people in our group used ear plugs and were fine. Saturday the animals had been sold so it was quiet and wonderful. If you’re a very light sleeper I’d say this place isn’t for you, but it was a great location near the sequoias which was our main motivation for the visit. Very nice host and I’d recommend.

Host could not have been nicer and more accommodating. Super friendly, and gave great directions. Hipcampers should know, it’s not as secluded as some other sights. It’s next to a working cattle and feed lot. As long as you’re ok with that, I highly recommend this place.
I asked my 10 years old daughter to write the review and that is what she wrote :)

We had a great stay at Jon's ranch. It's a very relaxed place with a simple camping setup. Earplugs were necessary at night, and you should expect to be woken up by the animals pretty early. We would recommend!
We spent one night on Jon's land. It was about an hour from Kings Canyon National Park where we stayed the night before. It was very hot in the valley so we didn't get comfortable until late in the evening. The patch of grass we have to camp on is very nice. There are decent bathrooms available and parking was close to the site. There was a big group also camping nearby and there was not a lot of privacy. This is a working stockyard and there were animals making noise all night and more coming in in the morning which I thought was fun but you might not love that. It is also pretty close to a loud road but it didnt affect my sleep beyond being aware of it. So I would recommend for proximity to Kings Canyon and the novelty of animals. Host stopped by in the morning and showed off some animals. Felt safe on the property.
We had a very enjoyable stay for 2 nights at this site. Jon was extremely friendly and accommodating. He has done a great job with the property and there is definitely a pride of ownership. The restrooms were very clean and the shower is a great extra that not all campsites have. The only drawback is that this is certainly a working stockyard and there is work to be done and livestock to tend. It got a little noisy at times but we had a good time and took this in stride. Jon also has great information regarding the area including the Sequías and Three Rivers area.
