This is our 2nd visit to Joyce’s land. It’s amazing! The campsites are right next to the CO river which we had fun floating down. All of her animals on property are awesome. She’s very communicative and there’s great restaurants in town with a convenient grocery store. It’s the best! Highly recommend!

Absolutely fantastic! Hosts are very helpful but not intrusive at all. We had the place all to ourselves, but I don’t think we would have noticed if there were other campers there. We can’t wait to come back!

We loved this place. The kids got to pet the animals, dip their toes in the river, fly their kite, and play hide and seek in the dark. We really enjoyed our stay!

Was a really nice well kept campground. The spots were really large and right on the river. The hosts were nice and even showed us all the animals on the farm. We loved holding the baby pigs! The spot was quiet and very private. We definitely enjoyed our time.

The site doesn't show that a trail runs through the campground which people use to get to the river. There is shade (beginning of July) but not until about 10 or 11am. You have to haul your gear down like 15 or so steps or up 5, which would not be bad, however there was the site rafting trailer there blocking the 5 steps up. The indoor bathroom was good, just know it's only open during business hours. The river is close and nice to use. Nice site but half of it is a thoroughfare for people going to the river.

The site is beautiful, right along the river and easily accessible. The site itself is best suited for 1-2 tents. RV/camper parking is above the site and on the other side of some trees with a little path that leads to the riverside site. Perfect firepit, privacy and seclusion despite proximity to other sites and I-70. We camped with two young kids and it was great. Hosts were responsive and welcoming. One bonus is close proximity to New Castle which had a nice selection of restaurants if you need a night out or to pickup food for your camp. Would highly recommend.

Our family had a great time over 4th of July weekend at #1 Sheep Site. It was pretty perfect for our family with young kids. We liked that this site had plenty of shady trees to keep things cool through the afternoon. It also had good privacy from the other campsites and the river since it is surrounded by trees on all sides. (Nice to keep the kids safely away from the water when we were busy getting dinner ready.) This site is the first one you come to in the row of 4 available, so there is only a neighbor on one side. Even though every site was full, we couldn't hear anyone else. Super peaceful place. Our 5 year old loved seeing the trains pass through a few times per day, feeding the farm animals, and wading into the river. The location offers a good home base for all of Garfield County's adventuring and the host, Joyce, is so kind and was easy to reach before/during/after our stay.

Gorgeous site, super spacious so is ideal for a large family or big group, however, for the price and the fact that you have to book 2 nights, the noise from the highway was so loud and all night. Also right across the river are homes and one has flood lights pointing right into the campsites. Kinda kills the vibe if you’re trying to get out into nature. Lastly, it’s 4 sites which is usually fine and they are far apart but if you’re unlucky like I was and one site wants to stay up and party all night and another has a screaming child, the spots are not far enough away to not hear it all. Really this should be priced like a KOA.

Overall great experience, very private site, with access to the river. You can drop your tube in, and take the two hour ride to the Silt dog park and boat ramp. There are houses across the river from the camp site, we experiences dog barking in the mornings but that was the only negative. We saw blue heron’s, a lot of bald eagles on the water as well. Sites are close to town if you need anything as well. Highly recommend!

Super gorgeous site, nestled in between olive trees, just fish for your dinner and fall asleep to the sound of the river. Doesn’t get better than this. Animals were super sweet too except the turkey stuntin on us like he’s big stuff lol

This was the fourth time staying on the property and it was amazing as usual. Super clean and private. I 100% recommend staying here! We were able to see the animals and give them love. We also caught some fish this year right off the camping site!! We WILL be back!!

Awesome space! Very peaceful and well put together. We were able to see two eagles up in a tree above the site. The property is absolutely incredible. There were some prior reviews about bugs, but they weren’t too bad this time of year. We would definitely come back again in the future!

An incredibly beautiful site, private and comfortable. There are four sites and we stayed at the Rooster, there was plenty of room, incredible river access, a fire ring, and a small wooden stand. We had a large party with a bunch of dogs and we felt super comfortable. Even though there are other sites, it feels very private and all you can hear is the sound of rushing water. The nature is so beautiful, we saw a couple bald eagles as well! I highly recommend this spot to anyone looking for a place to unwind and spend a couple days in nature.

I loved our camping trip at this site over a long weekend. The sites are very spacious and right along the river which was very pretty. Also had a fun time saying hi to all the animals! We had a great stay and would definitely come back again!

Joyce’s space is gorgeous! And very centrally located. We loved waking up and falling asleep to the sounds of the river. The sites are all very private and spacious. The farm animals are beautiful! Joyce was friendly and easy to communicate with.

Stayed at the Rooster. Fantastic spot right on the river. Private, quiet and peaceful. Joyce was easy to deal with; responsive, helpful and kind. Her property is very private but easy to find. Short drive to Main Street New Castle and 20 minutes to Glenwood Springs. Want to come back next year!

We stayed at the campsite “the sheep.” It was a beautiful and relaxing time! It was so quiet and the campsite was huge! Being so close to the river was also such a unique experience. We would absolutely book again!

Beautiful site. The camping area was clean, green Easy to find. Hosts were very easy going and returned our messages. we wish we could have stopped and checked out the animals we just did not have time. There was so much to do, and we try to get it all in. Bring tiki lights for the mosquitos for sure. We did get Eaton, but we still enjoyed our time. Gorgeous, there are so many things to do around. Or just hang around your campsite. Next time we will be paying so we can fish right off of that river. Hopefully we can get some inner tubes and ride down the river.

We loved the experience on Joyce's land. Beautiful stay right along the river. Due to cancelations based on forecasts of inclement weather, we were the only ones utilizing the site during our time. We were invited to utilize whatever space we pleased across the four different sites. Joyce was incredibly welcoming and responsive. We had a great time enjoying the campfire and surrounding beauty. Bring your bug spray and have a wonderful time! Having the privilege to access the different sites, our preference is as follows:
1. Rooster #4 (smaller but best river access and view)
2. Horse #2 (larger site with good access to the river)
3. Cow #3 (good space less river access)
4. Sheep #1 (close to what you're getting with site #3 with slight preference leaning the other direction)
I would definitely recommend this stay and would love personally to return down the line.
