This little glamping cabin, set at the far edge of a field overlooking a wildlife pond, soothing fountain and mountain backdrop, is peaceful and surrounded by beauty. It’s a special place, not just for these amenities, but because it is actually located on four private acres right in Manchester Center. Although it abuts 70 acres of preserved land, it is just steps from Main Street Manchester, and all of the shopping and dining options that this lovely, year round tourist town has to offer. This location really offers the best of nature and convenience. The land and pond abut wild land and the west branch of the Battenkill, a famed fly fishing river, is just steps away. The pond is stocked annually with trout. We see raccoon, fox, bear, deer, otters and lots of other wildlife pass through our property. Our land connects to a walking and biking trail that winds through farm fields and forests all the way to the nearby town of Dorset. We are also only steps away from fine dining at the 1790 Ye Olde Tavern, or more relaxed fare at the local Thai restaurant, taco joint or sushi spot. The natural food store is a quick walk across the park where on Thursdays the local farmers market is held. We can also easily walk to the Northshire Bookstore, one of the finest bookstores in the northeast, and there are plenty of opportunities for shopping in town, including at Orvis’ flagship store.

Pond and Mountain View Cabin

We stayed here a night on our way to Acadia. We absolutely loved it. It was cozy and quiet, and the wood stove was awesome. Secluded and within walking distance to some stellar restaurants.

The cabin was so sweet and made for a great getaway. The hosts helped us find a trial to ride our quad on! The town of Manchester was filled with stores and restaurants that always left us with things to see, do, or eat!
