Tadpole Manor- Permies in Greenleaf
We had a wonderful stay! It’s a perfect location with lots of privacy and access to places such as Kentucky Falls and Florence beach. There were no internet coverage so that made it even more special to be present and enjoy the fresh blackberries! Thank you so much!

My stay at Sophia’s was blissfully divine! The land is incredibly abundant and beautiful! The stream is delightful and the gentle babbling water and night critter sounds bring a peaceful sleep! Private and feels secluded. Sophia is an absolute dream hostess! Did not want to leave!

Gorgeous property -- absolutely magical! The property had a lovely warmth in contrast with the harsh winds of the coast. We loved falling asleep to the sound of the babbling brook -- and wow, the stars were absolutely spectacular. I've never seen so many stars -- including the milky way. And if there on a Sunday, I recommend the little farmers market a few miles away. I would definitely go back to this space (even though we managed to drive over some tent stakes and had to replace six tires...) Absolutely divine space!

Sofia, the host was a divine angel who I practiced in the art of hospitality. This place was in my top three favorite places in all the world! So special... So heavenly. Going to Tadpole Manor again cannot come soon enough!!! Thank you YAH FOR THIS PLACE SOFIA AND WILLOW!

It was beautiful 😍. The hosts were lovely; very down to earth and helpful.
My only critique would be the toilet available to campers. Though it was a clean and comfortable compostable toilet, it was placed directly next to the path campers take to go to and from their vehicles (very close!). This placement made toilet access feel uncomfortable, since there was no door and the only divider was a sheet-like curtain that was difficult to keep closed.
Despite this, the property is beautiful. Charming creekside.

This was my first hipcamp experience and overall it was great. The host Sophia was very sweet and we were greeted by her border collies and cats as described.
Pros: The land is surrounded in delicious blackberries that made a great addition to our morning oatmeal and we had a quiet back part of the land which was private and cozy. There is a communal area with a wash sink, complimentary water gallon, a hose and a small creek. There is also a very clean compost toilet.
Cons: This is a farm with chickens and a rooster - the rooster wakes up very early which is a bummer after spending long days hiking, however the host did say she could take care of it for us so if this is an issue, let her know before hand.
There is also no cell service here in either direction for at least a half hour which may or may not bother you, depends on what you are going for.
The creek is not something I would swim in but maybe it is ok for others?
It is a bit of a drive to go anywhere cool, 45 to an hour, but we managed to check out Sweet Creek Falls, Heceta Beach, Heceta Head Lighthouse and John Dellenback Dunes and we used the long drives to charge our electronics.
There is also a short walk (under a min) to your site through a bumpy trail, which taught me that I need to look for "park at listing" for future bookings since we mostly camp out of our car. Happy Camping!

If you are looking for a super rustic camp on a farm half way between Eugene and Florence, this is a great option. They gave great instructions and greated me upon arrival and gave a quick tour. I’d suggest the site closest to the creek if you want a teeny bit more privacy. Tent sites are pretty close together, 2 of which are right next to each other, so probably great for families or friends. so if you are looking to be far away from other campers this may not be for you. Great creek to dip into! Bring your mosquito repellent!
Super Kind and welcoming hosts. They made a cute common area to wash your dishes and separate your trash (pretty much the same site as the creek side site). compost toilet could use a little bit more privacy but it was super clean... it’s a farm way out in the country with a lot of charm.

Wonderful for watching stars. The Creek is beautiful. Make sure to wear good water shoes to get into it. Great space to be alone and wonderful for small groups. It was only me at the space that night and I think that made all the difference!

Great location; we really enjoyed our stay here. We weren't quite sure what the site boundaries were for the other sites; we stayed in site 3 and found it to be spacious and comfortable for 4 people in 3 tents, although I believe we may have in the process commandeered the common fire pit since it was in the middle of our site. There were no other campers, so this wasn't an issue. Our host Sophia was very friendly and welcoming. Overall we would definitely recommend a stay here.

We really enjoyed our stay at Tadpole manor. The farm has a wild feel, the chickens and roosters are talkative, Sophia was very sweet and made us feel at home. The trails to the creek from our campsite were a bit overgrown so that access is limited. We snacked on raspberries and did some fun flower id’ing. The compost toilet was great. We brought our own drinking water because the hose water tasted sulfurous. We were the only campers there for two nights which was amazing we loved the privacy. Beautiful spot, if this location and a modest camp setup is what you’re looking for I definitely recommend!

What a great weekend away from the city! Sophia was very generous with sharing her berry patches and access to explore throughout her small permaculture farmland and the creek.
There was plenty of firewood and fire-building materials.
The tent sites were tucked in the back side of the field. I was one of three sets of visitors while I was there, spaced out maybe 5 tent-lengths apart between tent spots. There was a hand cart to carry gear from the car to the camping site - barely a 2 minute walk. The composting toilet was very nice: not smelly and a curtain provided some privacy. Roosters crowed loudly in the morning and throughout the day. The creek babbled. I enjoyed the farm and wilderness sounds!

This was the most wholesome camping experience! Sophia is so friendly, there's berry picking right on the land, and sitting by the creek is so calming! There are lots of animal friends to greet you, too! The individual sites have a communal, extended family feel to them, and it was fun getting to know our neighbors around the campfire! We're definitely going to come back soon!

If you are looking for a secluded, quiet, safe, Creekside experience, this is the place. Our children were free to walk the property, without fear from other campers, random dogs, or poison oak. The creek can be heard while you sleep, and it was clear and healthy. Sophia was an amazing host, generous, and kind to our two young children. Perfect experience.

Really enjoyed staying at Sophia's. Sophia is very kind and she has a great permaculture landscape. She was helpful and gave us lots of options for hikes in the area.
There was a place for a fire and we used the platform overlooking the water to do yoga. Sophia showed us around her property and told us about the plants and trees growing there. We got to learn about Mashua - a plant in relation to the nasturtium. Her animals are so friendly, chickens freely roamed the property.
We had a lovely and relaxed stay.

Fantastic stay for the Aug 2017 eclipse! Our tent was near the orchard and herbs, close to the fire pit and we slept/woke to the lovely sound of the creek.

Tadpole Manor- Permies in Greenleaf
It was great getting to meet the host, Sophia, at this location. Upon arriving, we took a tour of the property, as she explained all the things they were growing around the property. The tent sites were well established, and were located in a secluded spot right along the river. The farm animals were playful and fun to run around with, and the hospitality Sophia provided made the experience very enjoyable.
