Great dog-friendly place!
This is a really nice spot, very easy to get to just off the scenic 101 Coastal Highway. Our hosts were excellent at communicating and offered great value for a last minute booking during the 4th July weekend. The place is very family and pet-friendly, we had 3 dogs of our own and although we chose to keep them on the leash because of other dogs, they are welcome to roam if they're not aggressive. Our spot was lovely and secluded, very peaceful, clean and well-set up. Our host was also very helpful in recommending nice local beaches for taking the dogs and any other information required. Would definitely recommend!
Great camping close to the coast!
We had a great time staying at the Rock'n K Ranch over fourth of July. Karen was a wonderful, welcoming, friendly host. We had a group of 8 people, a baby, and two dogs and Karen was more than flexible with some of our last minute adjustments to our reservation. The family is in the process of building out trails and campsites around the 6 acre, wooded property; I can't wait to stay again and see their progress. Karen encouraged us to explore the trails and make ourselves at home. You can use the bathroom inside the house and we also were able to store some food in their fridge; we just cooked over the fire, but you're able to use the kitchen if needed, which is a great option to have available given how much it sometimes rains on the coast. They also have a hot tub that guests can use (!!), which is pretty rad. The campsites in the woods are scattered and offer a lot of privacy, though we opted to camp in the grassy yard this time since we had so many people and half the group was arriving after dark. We had campfires in the communal fire pit area both nights we were there; the sky was clear and the stars were amazing. The property is only a couple of minutes inland, so you can hear the sounds of the ocean all night. Staying at Rock'n K Ranch is a great option if you are exploring the central coast and want to avoid the crowded state campgrounds and don't want to stay at an expensive airbnb; it's the best of both worlds and it's a great location.
This was an amazing place to stay. It’s not on the beach, but you can hear the roar of the pacific all night. It was AMAZING. Karen was a gracious and kind host who greeted us with hugs. The property is great. A lot of big old growth trees with trails on the property.
We have a pickup rooftop tent and they found a nice secluded spot for us.
Best of all... Karen was able to accommodate us pretty much last minute. Finding a spot on the Oregon Coast in the summer is not easy. Karen has acres to help! We will DEFINITELY Be back.
Much love Karen!
Comfortable and relaxing
Very comfortable and everything was as advertised and more.
Host was very welcoming and accommodating, immediately felt welcome and as family. Property can be very private if that’s what you want, also very open and comfortable to socialize with other guests and property owner and crew. Easy walk/short drive to beach.
Definitely will be a return visitor.
Karen was a wonderful host who has a very special, magical property in the woods within walking distance of one of the more fascinating geological features of the Oregon coast. She was very gracious to show us all the nooks and crannies of her neck of the woods and share her home with us.
Sleep in woods, play at beach!
Karen was a wonderful host and her property is a gem. We (two adults and a 5 year old) spent two nights and wish we could have stayed longer! There are multiple private (but easy to get to) campsites in the woods where all you hear are the birds and the roar of the Pacific Ocean. There were others staying on the property but we only saw them when we were in the communal spaces. There’s a full bathroom in the house to use anytime, a library/game/toy room (with something for all ages), a hot tub, and a communal fire pit. You can walk (10 mins) to the ocean from your campsite or drive (5 mins) to Seal Rock beach or just explore the woods. Karen and her friendly pup Beau even accompanied us to the beach to show us her favorite spots. We also took a 25 minute drive down to see Thor’s Well and had lunch in Yachats. We will definitely be back and can’t wait to see how the property evolves into Karen’s vision.
Karen was very welcoming and has an amazing property! We were able to use the kitchen, bathroom, and hot tub which was a nice touch! There are lots of sweet dogs around which added to our experience. I would highly recommend this location to anyone! :)
