Far out in all the right ways
This is an RV campground primarily with a nice bathroom, free showers, laundry/TV room, huge covered outdoor structure with outdoor heaters and multiple benches. There are free grills powered by free propane, and really strong wifi as well as places to plug in your devices to charge. It was lovely to come there when the trees were turning color. The property has no bad views and is very close to a developed town. My caveats are these: 1. the tent camping area, while kept a lush green grass, has no shade and nor does its parking lot. The sites are not delineated and it is in the center of the circular RV park so it is like a fishbowl. There is a new hostess and I felt she was surveying me too much, because it was easy to show she was managing that way. She even told me to go hang out in a field of a road 33 if I needed shade and chastised me for not shutting the laundry door tightly enough even though I was not the only one using the laundry. The dryers flipped the breaker and she is not available to ask what to do and it took my money so I took it to the nearby town but that place the dryer doors were all missing so I had to haul my wet laundry to Alturas. I would recommend this place highly for RVs, although it seemed they let car campers have nice spots too. I think I might have been overly sensitive being that far from home or something. The owner is great and the just previous hosts are going to be hard to replace. I am sure the winter hostess means well and is just trying to figure it all out.
