Resilient Acres

Great to be back at Resilient Acres! We have not been to Resilient Acres for a couple years. We are pleased to see its still a great place to camp for a few nights. We enjoyed the peace and quiet as we camped under the Sycamore trees.

Rose Field was an easy camping experience-would be good for beginners. Lots of space. Nice to have an indoor restroom especially because it was in the 30’s both nights. Another group came the second night but we didn’t really hear them or see them much at all. We hiked on the property with our dogs & saw deer & a hawk. The meadow must have great soil-lots of native keystone species-goldenrod, ironweed, asters, milkweed. Overnight we heard a buck snorting (rutting season), coyotes & great horned owls calling back & forth. So even though it’s close to a state route the wildlife is great. We woke up to the calls of redwing blackbirds which I love.

A lovely respite

The farm was great interesting out buildings Abad a great gravel parcel to park on. We walked the dogs on the horseshoe trail twice. The bathroom and shower in the main house were clean easy to get into and we’ll appreciated. The place was quiet and calm.

I had a wonderful little camping retreat here. Michael is a great host! The campsite is close enough to the road to some hear traffic, but you can’t see it at all. And is slowed down after 10:00pm. Didn’t bother me at all. Beautiful property.

I love Resilient Acres! This is a great place right outside of Chardon with beautiful gardens and tranquil grounds. Michael is a great host- friendly and responsive.

The farm is beautiful! The campsite was well laid out on the edge of the forest in a grassy field. It was lovely to sleep in a tent on soft grass, felt wonderful. It was the perfect place for us to camp and hope to return soon.

We got to camp in a beautiful field, right as the wildflowers were in full bloom. Woke up to fresh morning air. The trails were well kept and easy to traverse on foot and with our travel wagon, there was a good amount of space for the tent and to make food, and the site itself was far enough away from the main farm that we had a good amount of privacy. Michael and Brenna were friendly and responsive, and the farm cats were absolutely adorable!

My stay at the Rose Field was an outstanding weekend away. The property was clean and quiet and as described. Michael was super responsive to any communications and an awesome host. Cool with car camping. Within about 45 minutes of Cuyahoga Valley National Park. Would highly recommend.

Nice farm stay

We enjoyed our quick overnight stay on the farm. The host is a great communicator and let us know where to park and which bathroom to use. The weather was really chilly in April with a mix of rain/snow so we didn't explore the farm much but would love to return on our next time through. It's not far away from the highway if you're just passing through and is a nice quiet and safe spot.

No better place to camp!

This place is amazing. The trail to the sites are well maintained and easy to navigate. This place is beautiful. 130 acres of woods, streams, fields, gardens and livestock. If you are someone whom loves the planet and wants to feel like they are a part of something bigger than themselves this is the place to stay. I highly recommend taking the tour. I feel better just knowing people like Michael and Brenda are in the world, working hard to make this planet better for all of us. I’m already trying to plan a time to go back!! Thank you so much for sharing your farm with me!!

We had a wonderful evening camping with our kids at Regenerative Farm Stay and would certainly stay there again if we are in the area. It was very nice to have a complimentary bundle of wood at the campsite.

Campsite was a nice little hike (less than 0.5 miles) from the parking area that was very easy to find. There were several trails to explore on the way to campsite too. Dry firewood was provided at the campsite which had a nice stone fire-ring beside a quiet creek. The host was nice and available to answer any questions.

Lots of Space, Good Bathroom

- The thing I liked best about this site was that it was large enough to accommodate my group (7 tents, additional cars). Lots of room for sleeping, food, play (we brought a frisbee golf stand and other lawn games and had plenty of room for them) - There's no hike to the site, which was also a plus. - The picnic table and firering were as advertised, though it was difficult to sit on one side of the firering due to the ground's downhill slant. - The bathroom has no amenities - you need to provide your own handsoap, toilet paper, shampoo, etc. - but it's clean, indoors, has electricity, is private, and very easy to access from the campsite. - My advice to campers is to bring your own wood (the wood provided doesn't burn well because it is not dry aged), bring some sort of canopy because there is no shade, and also to remember to bring enough water to cover your full stay. Thank you Michael! Your help in planning made this an easy camping trip.

Perfect Stay for a Cross Country Tr

On a trip from Chicago to NY we stayed one night. It was perfect for our needs. The field is beautiful and the indoor bathroom was clean. After a long day of driving it was relaxing to sleep in the field. It's close to I- 90 and off a 2 lane road so there is traffic noise. My partner did the tour and learned some new things about permaculture. The host was flexible and accommodating as we were behind schedule a whole day. Overall, I recommend it for someone who needs to be central to things, and isn't able or can't do full-on camping. We recommend it! We also got some free firewood and made a fire!
