Electricity-lights included. There is a large fridge outside and a mini fridge inside.

There is an outdoor kitchen with stove, sink and hot, spring fed outdoor shower too!

There are 103 acres of woods and trails to roam with a beautiful stream (15 min hike)There is also a little spring fed pool (2 min walk) for quick summer cool off dips, if you don’t want to drive to the big rivers.

Summitville, NY is surrounded by forests and wetlands. Sam's Point reserve for insane hiking, views, and ice caves. The Bashakill is a beautiful place to kayak or stop at the winery. The Neversink river and Sandburg creek are nearby for swimming. 45mins to Kingston/Woodstock, 35mins to New Paltz, 35mins to Narrowsburg/Callicoon, 1.5 hrs to NYC.

There is a lovely train ride via NJTransit to Middletown or Otisville (20 min cab ride or bike ride?!?!) or the Shortline bus with different options (direct 1.5 hrs to Monticello, then 20min cab) or there is a longer bus that takes you to Wurtsboro and even Summitville (5mins away)

Wurtsboro is our main town and is small and quite quirky. There is a synagogue that was transformed into a crystal store, a new library, Danny’s Pub and restaurant, a Harley Davidson dealer and a great little Health Food store. Ellenville is 10 mins north of us with quite a few restaurants with farm to table offerings. Giovanni's does pizza Wednesday nights outside in the brick oven!

We are a homestead farm, so you can cuddle with chickens, puppies, kitties, mini pigs, rescued squirrels and of course, angora bunnies :)

Only 1.5 hours away from the city you can escape to a fern covered oasis
for the human and animal variety alike. The RV has been beautifully
restored with an attetion to detail, everything you'll need for your
outdoor experience with some comforts of home.
We made this stop in the middle of a road trip. After a long drive with
a toddler and pup, Carlos & Ambika's friendly faces were a breath of
fresh air. Warm and welcoming, any anxiety about staying with strangers
melted away within seconds. They gave us a tour when we first arrived
and they invited us to see where we could refill the fresh jug of spring
water they provided at the RV.

When Ambika asked my daughter if she'd like to see meal time at the
farm, she enthusiastically accepted. Watching the animals all crowd
around Carlos, you could practically see the smiles on pigs faces. They
truly have provided a happy place for these animals to thrive and do as
they were meant to. The rabbits even have a large living area with an
intracate burrow system to keep them safe, active and cool! My daughter
won't stop talking about Lil' Kim the squirrel she feed and the hairy

Besides spending time with the hosts & animals (you could get lost for
hours enjoying their company), there are trails you can explore with
your pup off leash (away from the animals that may prove a temptation).
Waterfalls within minutes of the property. Unique restaurants in town
which Ambika will happily suggest a few to fit your tastes. We ended up
not having to go to the restaurants because the outdoor kitchen was a
DREAM come true. Everything you'd need, just bring your food to prepare
and soak in the sounds of the baby birds that have taken residence on
the kitchen roof. They do have free range organic eggs available for
purchase ($5) and I totally suggest bringing the extra cash because they
were delicious.

As far as sleeping arrangements, there are two large beds. They have the
pretty pillows and light sheets in the photos, but it's more for visual
appeal. Bring your own pillows and blankets! We were here the first day
of summer and really only needed the light blankets on top of a open
sleeping bag. Make sure to open the windows a hour or so before bedtime
so you'll get a fresh breeze of cool mountain air circulating. Makes for
a deep slumber!

The outdoor shower is wonderful and tucked away in a private location.
It is open so if you feel concious about that kind of thing, bring a
swimsuit to wash up in. The restroom is a outdoor compost toilet in a
cute little shed, close to the RV but not too close if you know what I
mean. Definitely bring the bug spray, late evening and early morning
there is an abundance of the insects that come with a healthy ecosystem.

forest rv lodgingWe were able to see a deer twenty feet from this front bed! My daughter soaked up every second they spent with us showing us this magical place they've put together. Naan pizzas on the castiron griddle.

It was a very nice, quiet camping site. Ambika and Carlos are super friendly and so helpful. I visited here with my husband and my 1.5 yr old girl, and my friend brought his teenage daughter and 6 yr old boy. The kids had a lot of fun, feeding the animals and walking around the ponds.

The Winnebago is nice and cozy, and the outdoor kitchen is just amazing! it makes firing the campfire and cooking super easy and convenient! they have a small fridge in the RV and a big fridge outside, which is also super convenient too! you can eat ice cream anytime you want :)

We've only been to a big camping sites where there are so many people and tents. This was our first time going to a private camping site and it was a great experience.

The only thing I have to call out is, you have to be aware there's no indoor restroom. the toilet doesn't have a door, and as you can see in the picture, it's out in the woods. lol. It was quite scary especially at night. Myself and the teenage girl weren't able to use it... We had to run to the McDonald's, which wasn't too far. If you are a type of a person that needs a nice, clean, indoor toilet, this would be a problem.

Also, they only have outdoor shower, and the shower area is just open in the woods. (it's behind the outdoor kitchen), which seemed really crazy to me, but guess what? it was like the most wonderful experience! LOL. looking at the sky and trees and taking shower in hot water was quite amazing. The teenage girl refused to take shower for a while, but I convinced her to give it a try, and she loved it too lol.

I had some issues with outdoor toilet, but overall, it was a great place, and I had a lot of fun! I highly recommend this place, and I'm sure anyone will love meeting Ambika and Carlos! (and little bunnies, doggies, duckies, piggies, chickens and chicks, etc, etc lol.)

Toilet was a bit traumatizing for me and the other girl, but overall,

We enjoyed our stay at this cozy cabin. Anika was a wonderful host and made sure we had everything we needed to enjoy our long weekend mini vacation. The photos don't do this place justice and the surrounding property is perfect for relaxing and taking nice leisurely walks through the woods. Both indoor and outdoor kitchens are well stocked with anything you might need and the fresh spring water is incredible (we took our hosts suggestion and filled up a bottle for the ride home). The fact that this site is conveniently located just a couple of hours outside the city and also comes complete with friendly dogs makes it a place I would definitely want to return to and also recommend to friends looking to get away for a bit whilst semi "roughing it".

The camper is the definition of twee. Very very cute on a beautiful property. Ambika and Carlos were beyond gracious hosts. It's fully stocked with everything you need to make your self at home for the weekend. As a bonus, the outhouse has the most beautiful view I've ever seen from a toilet...

*Note that we went on the coldest day of the year (7 degrees out) and the wood stove wasn't quite warm enough to heat the cabin. I would definitely recommend a visit in the spring, summer, fall or early/late winter.

Had a wonderful stay here over the weekend! Had to arrive late but Ambika was flexible and very helpful to show us around. The cabin is adorable, the scenery is beautiful, and the farm animals were a lot of fun. Would definitely recommend if you are looking for a woodsy retreat to unplug.

After 3 nights at Ambika's magical spot, we were sad to leave but know we'll be back. Ambika has thought of every detail, this is camping at It's easiest. The camper itself is a bohemian dream, with two comfortable beds, two places to eat meals, a fire ring, a hot open air shower, and 2 kitchens. Everything you need to prepare and enjoy your meals is provided, but should you want a break from cooking she will suggest places to eat nearby (highly recommend Ba & Me in nearby Mountaindale). Our 1yr old loved petting the bunnies and piggies, we went for hikes on the property, next time we will check out the swimming hole for sure! Big love to her two friendly dogs who were unruffled by our slightly crazy city-dogs. All in all it was a great stay, can't wait to return.

Oh my gosh, what a perfect spot. My friend and I wanted a little weekend in the woods and this is exactly what we got! The hosts were so sweet, their land is incredible, and I am so excited to return during summer! The town nearby (Wutrsboro) could not be cuter. Amazing!
