Description

The water of Devil’s Inkwell is stained turquoise by submerged aquatic plants, giving it the illusion of great depth...like an inkwell! The campground sits next to the itsy-bitsy lake (technically a sinkhole) that offers prime fishing opportunities.

I was passing through and stumbled upon this place. I can't wait to return and bring my camping gear. Several sites are quite secluded so you get extra privacy. The water is beautiful! Nearby Lea Lake has swimming, paddle board and peddle boat rentals.

Early morning at one of the other lakes in the area. The pavilion has picnic tables. It was built by the CCC.Take a peddle boat out!
