This spot in western Montana is Gods divine artistry & Dons caring, thoughtful stewardship. Rich pristine nature, feels remote but is easy to access minutes from the little historical mining town Victor. Don was accommodating about my questions and respectful of our space. Felt very safe here and slept well.

Serenity Now!

Every Hipcamp has a strong point, and here it is the peaceful serenity. I especially enjoyed hearing the hoot owls at night!

This site has zero noise or light pollution. Near several good hikes. Very clean site with a great fire pit and tables. The host is very thorough in his communications and is very accommodating. Bathrooms are better than most public camps. Loved the access to wildlife, the deer, chipmunks and cattle were a real treat. The shade is campsite #3 was absolutely essential in the July heat. I thoroughly enjoyed myself.

The site was clean and had even free firewood to use. The sites and sounds were an amazing experience. Upon arriving we were greeted and after an explanation of the site asked if we had any questions. It was a friendly and pleasant interaction! A definite go to spot for an RV in the area since power is supplied!

Peace and Quiet!

We stayed at Spring Creek Ranch for our first use of Hipcamp. If they are all like this, I might not book any other way. Communication was smooth, directions clear and easy to follow. The RV pad itself is large and completely level with mountain views in multiple directions. It has a huge firepit and Don had it completely stocked with nicely dried firewood plus kindling. There is an "outhouse" nearby, but outhouse in name only really. It has 2 large toilets, electricity, changing tables, no smell, and a sink outside with running water, soap, towels, etc. Winner of the best outhouse ever award. The site was very quiet and it was so very nice to not have any generators around as you gaze at the stars and listen to coyotes howling sitting around the fire. There were tons of birds, saw some deer, and lots of livestock all around the properties near the ranch including bison and the biggest longhorn bull I've ever seen. I couldn't recommend more for RVs, small campers, tenters, whoever. Just a great stay.

This was a great place to stay! It was quiet, well-kept, and the owners were friendly and helpful. The location was great for a getaway, with beautiful views of the mountains and reasonable distance to lakes, rivers, and hiking spots.

Incredible site & amazing host!

Don’s site is absolutely incredible! The property is exactly as described, but honestly, it is even better in person. The site is wonderfully secluded and private. Our fierce "guard dogs"—who are really just tiny puppy Doodles—barked at neighbors passing by to use the outhouse. I felt bad for anyone needing to use it, but the setup itself is fantastic. Speaking of the outhouse—it was the absolute icing on the cake! As I told Don when he came by to check on us, if a high-end hotel were to put a porta-potty inside their building, this would be it. I have never seen one so incredibly fancy and clean, and it was so huge inside that you could literally do burpees in it. Don is an amazing host, highly hospitable, and very quick to answer questions. We loved it so much that we even ended up extending our stay for another night! We will definitely be coming back!

Beautiful location. Loved the morning alpenglow and sunsets were beautiful as well. Great location for peace and quiet. Easy water access and good bathroom setup as well. Donald was responsive as well and quickly came to fix a minor sink issue when it came up. I would stay here again

Spectacular views. Unpaved roads is easily manageable. I really appreciated being provided fire wood at my campsite. Short walk up the hill & I was able to see multiple fireworks shows.

Dark Skies Glamping Tent

Excellent Glamping getaway! Not only did this location has stunning views, it had nature all around which we loved the birds, deer roaming around- truly loved it! The canvas tent and cot mattress was so cozy and comfy (we usually tent, so this was lux for us!) Hope to visit again in the future. Host Don was 👍 great and had patience to answer our nosy tourist questions. Hope to return 🍀✅🦌🦅

Site 2 - Dark Skies Campground

Site 3 was a great spot. It was ticked back up against Little Smith Creek. There were lots of birds to enjoy. Lots of ground squirrels too, but they didn’t bother us. The spots are kind of packed in, but our neighbors didn’t show up, or came in late and left early. Bathrooms were decent and there was water to bring back to camp for dishes (not potable). Great value for the money.

The most beautiful campsite I've been to in years. There was unlimited firewood and beautiful wildlife. Don and Christina were also so kind and accommodating. We didn't have the best weather and they helped us move sites to get out of the rain. I definitely am going back.

Don's place is such a unique piece of the Bitterroot Valley. We loved our peaceful stay, with access to nearby hikes that are incredible. The on site restrooms were so nice, and so was Don. There was lots of wildlife to experience as well. Coyotes howling in the distance, owls hooting back and forth and deer roaming into the campsite. I'd definitely recommend this spot.
