The Point

Lily’s property is stunning. She had super clear directions for parking, clean and convenient amenities, and truly unique accommodations. If you’ve ever wanted to fall asleep to lapping waves and the sounds of seals, this is the place for you. It’s convenient to lots of Maine attractions, but it was so peaceful that we never left during our stay. Can’t recommend this gem enough!

Private but lacking nice tent sites

Very private location including private rocky beach, a nice perk. Dog friendly is great too! But there were not nice tent sites. The main areas to tent were along a driveway or on a lawn in front of an abandoned house, a little creepy, and set back from the beach (ie no ocean view). The driveway site was bumpy so we went with the lawn. There was a lot of other acreage to camp, but not established sites (cleared flat ground, path to it), so you’d need to bushwhack in, clear leaves/sticks, etc. For the price we expected nicer established tent sites, set in the woods, maybe a shore view. Host was very friendly and responsive, offered to refund but given the late hour we opted to stay. The location is great, definitely recommend Schoodic Point/ this side of Acadia NP! As pretty as much of MDI and fewer crowds. And we found a campground there (Schoodic Woods Campground) with very nice walk in sites and facilities that we’ll go to next time.

A really great spot. The Farmhaus site was amazing. Quiet and secluded and right of the water. Beach campfire sunsets 🤘 and a piece of doggo heaven. Bonus creepy abandoned farmhouse vibes under a full moon. I stayed with my dogs for a couple nights. There's a short public trail right off the site which was perfect for an early dog walk route then a few minutes down the peninsula to the quieter parts of Acadia.

Beautiful

what a beautiful location! the site was wonderful with a beautiful ocean view. it felt very private although we did see the folks in the other cabin and a few people walking down the beach. close enough to a convenience store or restaurant if needed but otherwise it felt remote I loved being able to cook in the firepit on thr beach, harvest mussels right on site and kayak right from there. my only complaints are the mattress wasnt comfortable and the portable potty is a bit further away than I thought it would be

Beautiful beach views!

Incredible experience! The campsite was perfect for tent camping - the small meadow in front of the farmhouse is grassy and flat. And the biggest draw is the proximity to the beautiful beach!! Just a short walk down a grassy path, the trees open up to a beautiful and peaceful view. We saw and heard so much wildlife (including mussels, crabs, clams, bald eagles, loons, and seals!), and the star gazing at night was incredible. The water was cold, but SO clear (probably the clearest water I've seen in New England!) and perfect for cooling down in the heat. We saw only two other people walking on the nearby trails, so while close to amenities (for extra ice, etc) we felt very secluded. With two fire pits, we were able to either cook our meals in the woods, or near the water (less buggy there), Lily's directions were clear, and the outhouse was very close to the site with a cleared walking path. Highly recommend!!

The lovely, long beach about a 2 walk from camp was a highlight. Nice camp chairs, table, and fire ring. Easy access to Acadia Schoodic, and area amenities.

A dream of a camping spot. The owner communicated with us quickly despite our last minute booking. The area was clean, quiet and had an almost private beach that my kids enjoyed immensely. The howling of wolves from afar, eagles and seal sightings made this trip even more memorable. I would love to come again for a longer stay.

Stellar camping experience!

This was one of the most beautiful and peaceful sites I have ever stayed at! Not only was it private but the landscape was absolutely stunning. The amenities provided exceeded our expectations and our dogs had a blast playing together on the beach! We took the kayaks out and saw multiple seals in the bay. The sunsets were absolutely out of this world as well! Lily was very responsive and a great host! We will be back!

Was it worth the five hour drive from the Boston area? Yes! It was very private and spacious with two firepits and a private beach. Beautiful location. Very clean with plenty of firewood to purchase. Lily was very responsive. We would definitely recommend it here.

This place was magical! My dogs and I enjoyed a peaceful stop for two nights. We relaxed and recharged, swam, made dinner on the Coleman and built a beach fire. Slept well, enjoyed the sunrises and sunsets, would highly recommend.

I stayed here for two nights with my husband and our dog, and it was so lovely! The directions are very clear on how to arrive at the campsite. The campsite itself gives you lots of privacy and you have a beautiful view of the water through the trees. There's firewood available for purchase if you run out. The wagon is small and cozy, and has a built up deck right outside. It's just a short walk to the beach which is very secluded. We would definitely camp here again!!

I absolutely loved my experience here! This spot was the highlight of a camping trip around Maine and eastern New Hampshire. The combination of ease of access, privacy, and location made for a perfect camping experience. The trailhead that you’ll pass on your way in is just a couple minute walk from your site, and it leads to a short but beautiful trail to the beach, and the beach is… amazing! I look forward to a return visit!

Beautiful Maine beachside camping

We have had some wonderful experiences with Hipcamp, but the site next to the farmhaus was by far the best we have experienced. It was amazing to have our own private beach, with a beautiful fireplace. We saw and heard no one...except for some loons. My husband and I love to kayak and found this to be a great launching area. Mornings are definitely quieter. Be sure to get to Schoodic Peninsula as well. The bike ride on the loop road was magnificent. We plan to come back and highly recommend this site.

We loved the privacy and beautiful landscape. I would make sure to bring bug repellent and maybe some water shoes for going into the water. This site was one of my favorite camping spots and would love to come back!

Lily is so sweet and very helpful! We loved camping on her land, the views are beautiful and even though it’s a porta potty, it was very clean! I would love to stay here again. The beach is an amazing quiet escape! Also it’s pretty awesome she leaves a booklet of must sees and tips and tricks at the site!

Pictures can’t even do this place justice. It was truly one of the most beautiful places i’ve been. Lily was so helpful, and sweet! We highly recommend adding on the lobster dinner and enjoying it at sunset on the beach! We can’t wait to visit again.

This spot was lovely. With a short walk to the water, we got to spend some time in the woods as well as on the coast. Having portapotty access was nice, which was also a short walk from the site. The fire ring was in good condition with a swingout for cooking, the picnic table was very useful, and the provided chairs were a nice touch. The other sites on the property were not too close - the A frame is on the water, and the trailer is a bit inland, and the camping site we were at is a further walk up the hill so we didnt see our neighbors much unless they walked up to use the portapotty or leave in their cars.

Another great weekend!

Our stay was wonderful! The wagon sits in view of a coastline that is equally beautiful in rain, fog, or sun—and we experienced all three. The kayak rental is well worth springing for if you can't bring your own. Waters this clean and clear are a dream to paddle in, and there's a lot of wildlife to see on and in them. Seals seem to be fairly common! Lush trails are a stone's throw from the site, so there's something for hikers, birders, and amateur mycologists, too. The owner was kind and attentive throughout our stay. We'll be back for sure!

Our stay at The Point Campground was absolutely wonderful! Tucked away just minutes from Acadia National Park, this spot is a peaceful, rustic retreat that lets you truly connect with nature. The location is perfect—close to amazing hikes, scenic coastal drives, and Bar Harbor, but still far enough removed to feel secluded and serene. The campsites were spacious and well-maintained, with plenty of tree cover and privacy. We stayed in a tent site, and waking up surrounded by the sounds of the forest was the perfect way to start each day. While The Point doesn’t have showers, that’s part of its charm—it’s a true camping experience that encourages simplicity and being outdoors. There are clean restrooms, and everything else you need to be comfortable.

Beautiful campsite

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay in the wagon cabin! The view from the deck outside the cabin was a beautiful place to sit and relax or do a little yoga. Sunset was gorgeous and it was great to be able to bring our dog- who also had a great time! The location was close enough to make a day trip into Acadia, but provided the privacy that we were looking for in a campsite. Lily was an excellent host, she checked in throughout our stay and was very helpful in providing any information we needed. The Porto-potty was clean and easy to get to. We would love to visit again!!
