Incredible experience! The campsite was perfect for tent camping - the small meadow in front of the farmhouse is grassy and flat. And the biggest draw is the proximity to the beautiful beach!! Just a short walk down a grassy path, the trees open up to a beautiful and peaceful view. We saw and heard so much wildlife (including mussels, crabs, clams, bald eagles, loons, and seals!), and the star gazing at night was incredible. The water was cold, but SO clear (probably the clearest water I've seen in New England!) and perfect for cooling down in the heat. We saw only two other people walking on the nearby trails, so while close to amenities (for extra ice, etc) we felt very secluded.
With two fire pits, we were able to either cook our meals in the woods, or near the water (less buggy there), Lily's directions were clear, and the outhouse was very close to the site with a cleared walking path. Highly recommend!!
