    I would like to thank our many campers who came down from Canada and around the world to visit our small tract of tranquility. We are a one hundred year old family owned farm with an organic garden, Permaculture garden, an apiary, and Christmas trees on six acres. We have horseshoes, tether ball, a small library and disc golf. Early spring the frogs go crazy later followed by the sounds of nesting birds. Fall is the season for migrating birds that rest at the ponds next door. August is the time to fill up on blackberries. There are individual campsites with a barbecue and picnic table and a shared fire pit. The fire pit didn't see much use last two years because of the fire danger so we have moved it to an open area that will be safer and hopefully be open longer, there is also an area at each campsite if you want to bring a propane fire ring (or we will have some for rent). I want to thank past campers for their suggestions, they have been tremendously valuable. We are becoming increasingly suburban and there is some road noise that can be heard and even with farms on three sides of us, you still might hear our neighbors in the distance. Campsites one and four are across the road from each other and campsites two and three are adjacent to each other, perfect if you have another family traveling with you. The Washington State Fair is 3.9 miles/ 13 minutes away, Tacoma Dome 7.5 miles/ 18 minutes, Point Defiance Park Zoo and Aquarium 19 miles/ 30 minutes and Wild Waves water park is 15 miles/ 26 minutes away. Eagles, hawks and Ospreys are frequent visitors to our property.

    We had a lovely stay with our 2 dogs! Our 80 Series Land Cruiser fit perfect in the parking spot at campsite #1 and Jim trimmed some of the trees back to fit our rooftop tent. We loved this site because it was the most private (had a picnic table + 2 chairs). There is a communal outhouse which was super clean and cutely decorated. Jim has a 5-hole disc golf course on the property which we played! He has discs you can use, but we brought our own. We also added-on the propane fire pit and 1/2 dozes eggs from his ducks right there on the tree farm. :) Jim was SO kind and just a gem - super responsive too. The campsite and property was very clean and we would stay again! Oh! There is also horseshoes, little book library, and tetherball.

    This spot is so thoughtful and well kept! The outhouse was lovely and spot #2 was perfect. Had all the listed amenities and was pretty quiet for a Saturday night.

    Great location so close to the Tacoma Dome ! Very quiet and peaceful nested amongst the trees. My squaredrop camper fit perfectly in our site. James was very kind and accommodating.

    We had a great time tent camping on this property. James was very kind and helpful and we loved meeting the ducks and eating their eggs. Played all the lawn games like we were kids again. Would absolutely stay again.

    A true gem of a property. So much room to roam and James is first class with his hospitality and communication. For anyone traveling with highly anxious/reactive pups I would say sites 2 and 3 (although separated by trees and private) are a little close to each other so ask for James advice/see if other sites are booked before coming. Thanks again James and we look forward to another trip out there this fall.

    Great stop on our road trip! We were greeted within minutes by James and he was friendly as can be. The. Campsites are a little tight, but there is plenty of privacy due to strategic placement of the trees. We could see a beautiful sunrise from the field and overall the area was quiet (a little road noise but nothing major at all) The pit toilet is shared with all the sites so be ready for that, but was clean and nice to use.

    We enjoyed our camping at Jame's land, The campsite was well laid out and very clean. I would highly recommend James campsite to other hipcamper's with kids as there is frisbee golf available to keep them busy.

    James was easy and reliable to communicate with, greeted us with a smile and was very friendly and helpful. It was peaceful and quiet and we had everything we needed. Even is little disc golf course and horseshoes! Definitely recommend staying here.

    Super clean and well laid out campsites, easy to get to from Route 5. Private and quiet. James was a responsive host, and clearly takes pride in his camp sites - how many outhouses have you seen with framed photos hanging on the walls? The disc golf course and book lending library were great additions!

    Great little camping area! Very clean and quiet. We had the whole place to ourselves on a Saturday night in August. Used it as a home base to explore Tacoma and to hit up SeaFair in Seattle the next day. James the host was super friendly and accommodating; just motored over on his riding mower to say hi. Would definitely come back!

    Loved James’ farm! It was my first time tent camping (previously glamping) and the campsite was nice, peaceful and clean. There were other folks at the other campsites which was nice for a first timer. The land is meticulously well taken care off and has disc golf, tether ball, and horseshoes. Will be visiting again.     It's was quite the pleasure staying on James farm, he has top notch hospitality! The entire camp grounds had plenty to do, from frolicing in the fields, outdoor games like disco golf, to grabbing a good read out of the library. There was with plenty to do! Campsite #1 was clean, with plenty of space, which made it perfect for our weekend getaway.

    Woah- best campsite on record! Beautiful location, very private— even from the adjacent sites. Lawns are very well cared for, and I appreciated the chairs, table, and grill. The outhouse was clean and close by. I met James after setting up my tent and he was absolutely lovely. I would stay here again in a heartbeat!

    James tree farm was a great stay! He met us upon arrival and showed us where to park. He gave us a quick rundown of the land, showed us his runner ducks, and brought discs over for our family to play disc golf on his setup. He also has the absolute cutest library set up with a variety of reading material and bug spray. We were in an RV spot, because of this we were right off the road and felt a tad exposed but it was an easy in and easy out. There are trees growing that I suspect are meant to add a little more privacy for the future. Overall, a peaceful stay on the Christmas tree farm and would stay again. Thank you James!

    We loved staying here! James was friendly and kind when we arrived. All the sites are nicely maintained with wood chip paths and spaces cleared for your tent. The disc golf and tether ball was super fun addition. Our dog had a blast as well! We will definitely be returning!

    i adored my time at spot 2. it’s a huge site, and absolutely gorgeous. james was so sweet the entire time, and helped out so much to people who were unfamiliar with the area. i would recommend to anybody !
