There's something that just makes you feel good being here.  I looked at many properties before deciding on this one because "it just felt right".

This flat terrain is rich in history.  Pontiac Bay was fundamental in the logging era and held the local Trading post. The bay is nestled between Luskville Falls and Fort Coulonge Falls.

As you drive here you will begin to feel a sense of calm within you as you glance out your right window to see the Gatineau Hills and to your left, you will see that you're winding your way along the Ottawa River.  Or, if you decide to use the ferry crossing from Fitzroy Harbour on the Ontario side we're only 8 minutes from there.

I have an old, but river-worthy canoe you may borrow but feel free to bring your own canoe, kayak, paddleboat or SUP to explore the land and inlets around the bay.  Both sites have access to the boat launch.

No toilet facilities at the property so bring your own camping toilet or self-contained RV.

P.S.  You might want to stop in the village for the best french fries in all of the Outaouais region.  You'll see the big red chip truck across from Marcotte's, the gas station as you leave the ferry terminal if you're coming from Fitzroy Harbour.  And yes, they make pulled pork poutine, pogos, burgers and zucchini sticks.

If you're here on the weekend you may also want to check out the Bristol Farmer's market every Saturday from Noon to 3pm on the public beach in Norway Bay, only 20 minutes away.  It's a lovely quaint community mixed with old and new unique cottages so you'll definitely want to take a drive around.

And you'll surely want to visit the Vineyard and Vintage Car Museum, a 2-minute drive from here if you enjoy wine and cars (but not at the same time lol...unless the keys AREN'T in the ignition ha!).  Google Domaine de Pontiac Village for hours and more information or message me.

Visit Parc des Chutes in Fort Coulonge for a view of the waterfalls, zip lining over the gorge, and obstacle courses.  (The view of the gorge is breathtaking!)

Want to try whitewater rafting for an exhilarating rush?  Try Esprit or Horizon X, both about 40 minutes north.

How about Go Karting?  visit lecircuitquyon dot com

We just enjoyed a relaxing weekend at Tranquility on the Bay. The site was ideal for our pop up camper. Calm morning waters were great for kayaking. Finished off the days with a campfire under the stars. Tina was a lovely host, she was very accommodating and made sure we had everything we needed.

Tina was the perfect host! Although we arrived late and I had issues reading messages on the hipcamp app. When we did arrive after dark we had wood ready and Tina was very welcoming and understanding. Before we had to shoot off the next day to Ottawa we eve had a little canoe :) can’t recommend it enough such a lovely spot!

Our stay was relaxing and our host Tina was very welcoming and gracious. We will definitely return if we stay in the area again. It's a waterfront site in a very quiet area. It's also a 45 min scenic drive to Gatineau Park.

Thank you Tina,
My partner and I really enjoyed our stay here.
Despite the rain, we loved the area, the quiet and beautiful sunset, the starry night sky, the trip over the water to build an inukshuk in your dingy, camp fire, open field area, trees and your gracious hosting!
We were able to use the power extension to power our lights, kettle and electric bbq. Thank you for the wooden table and tarps which came in handy.
You have a beautiful spot and we hope to come back again soon to visit!
