It was a peaceful and safe place to land. Beautiful views of the hills and meadows. But from the start it was a little confusing. The direction pin drop leads you to the wrong entrance from the main road. And the directions seemed right at first until they weren't. We had to reach out to the contact noted on the listing and he was very helpful, though said he wasn't expecting us. We would have had to drive through his property to the site by the trees from where we ended up. Anyhow, we ended up just parking by the barn to be closer to the bathroom/shower. The barn is quite a distance to the actual site in the trees and there's no direct path from what we could tell. Staying on a rainy Monday, the host had offered up for us to park by the barn if we wanted. The bathroom was nice to have, though it looked like it hadn't been used in months. Spider and wasps nests, blackened compost in the toilet and a full trash can from whenever the last campers had been there. But the shower with the rain pattering the roof was delightful.
Again, a nice peaceful spot. Just think if we had the right directions it would have all been less confusing.

The place was super convenient, but not great instructions on how to get to the actual camping spot. Once you find the tiny " hip camp" sign covered in foliage, you can sort of figure it out your self. You'll find your spot with tiny white number marks. I booked spot #3. Once my booking was approved, Jodie said, " a tree fell in #3, so park in #2". That is confusing communication. We parked in #2 thinking we needed to camp in a different spot. We didn't camp in #1 #2 or #3. Once I messaged the host Jodie about the confusion, she replied pretty rudely with, " did you read my note, you can camp in #2". First of all...we just drove 5 hours to get there. We are tired, second of all your signage sucks, third of all I would not be rude to your guests because they are tired and your communication isn't great. Your better off getting a motel. Your probably should have the camping spot #3 if it's not available

Love the site, the camp host was very nice and responsive in messages. Gave lots of detailed information and directions on how to get there. Very beautiful area. Would recommend to anyone in the area.

We loved this place because it was a short drive from home and it was quite. My 2 small pups loved the fact that they had lots of room to run and play. This was perfect for a quick disconnect and recharge for the new month!

The sunrises and sunsets were stunning! My dog had the best time ever, very friendly hosts that give you lots of privacy but make sure you can access all of the beautiful amenities in the outdoor shower and beautiful barn space. Lovely trails too, but wet!

Had a large group camp with our trailers on Jodie’s land. It was a great property. She had cleaned up the barn so we’d have a dry place to hang out. Will definitely stay again! Thanks for everything!

Good:
1) host is very responsive
2) signage to sites is clear
Less good:
1) lots of poison oak including in the individual sites. Had to carefully site our trailer so we weren’t walking through it.
2) very isolated, which was generally nice, but when a second party of campers came on in the middle of the night (like literally 1:00 in the morning), it was kinda freaky. I don’t know exactly what the host could do in this case, maybe give a heads up that another party has reserved?

Great time and perfect glamping set up. Close to downtown which made for an easy dinner venture. All facilities in working order and two clean sleeping quarters/bedding. The is was just what I was looking for two humans and 2 dogs (one of which is reactive) and we had the place to ourselves.
Host and farm family were responsive and accommodating The walk to the water was a fun adventure.
It’s a working farm, so I recommend is doing a hot lap between your car and the airstream to check for animal scat (dog and other) so you don’t track anything where it doesn’t belong and as always- clean up after yours!

Would not recommend. For the asking price I feel like there should be a minimum standard. There were no picnic tables, no water or showers as advertised, the river wasn't close by and the outhouse was a bucket.
The only positives were the proximity to Eugene and that we were the only people there that night. Honestly would have been as well off or better sleeping in a parking lot.

We had a great time camping at Jodie's land. We were the only ones there for the weekend and it was a great little private riverside getaway for our trip to play some gigs in Eugene. Our pup loved the river spot! If there were other campers we probably would've stayed just one night, but as it was it was perfect. We didn't check out the barn but the bathroom/outhouse was basic and just fine. Beautiful spot and great communication, thanks!

Overall good site, but expensive for the amenities available. Toilet was far, no picnic table on site, and someone was in our reserved site when we arrived. We had a good time regardless and the property is quite pretty.

A lovely stand of trees at the edge of a meadow. The setting was the best part of this location. The barn was really neat and the bathroom there had a charming design.
Due to a mixup on our first night, we stayed in site 2 that night. It had the most shade off all three sites, but it also had quite a lot of poison oak. We were able to avoid it once we noticed it. The toilets were all composting-type, but when we were there, they were almost overflowing full.
I would recommend any of these sites to someone looking for a nice place to stay close to Eugene. It was very scenic and tranquil.

Overall I had a really pleasant stay here, but I will mention some things. I was a bit surprised how close camp #3 was to #1 & #2, On the map it looks separate but they were all next to each other. Just something to consider if you want seclusion. Unfortunately no toilet paper in the outhouses and there was a lot of cobwebs in all the bathrooms. I love bugs but I also don't really love feeling like I am sitting in a spider mansion. Aside from that, the host was very kind and the property is very beautiful.

The communication with the host Jodie was a little confusing. Then when we arrived we couldn't get back to Site #5 which we had reserved. There isn't much of a road in the tall grass because it appears there haven't been many people out which I rather liked - driving through the pasture. But it wasn't very clear where to get to sites beyond 1-3 because downed trees and overgrowth. I called Marissa who was the contact on my email from Hipcamp and she informed me she no longer lives there and someone else is in charge. She gave me phone numbers for two other people and when I called Jonathan he told me he that it was supposed to be accessible back there but isn't yet so go ahead and stay in sites 1, 2, or 3. Just seems like there isn't a lot of activity here and it isn't being very thoroughly maintained. We were just sleeping in the back of my pickup for the night after a show in Eugene so didn't need much, and the property is really pretty, but they could spend a little energy on cutting down weeds, flattening the sites a bit, making sure the paths or roads are marked - some simple reflectors would help a lot and it would be a nice little spot. The barn is neat and bathroom while being verrry rustic seemed fine enough for my standards. Overall could be a nice place if there were a little more upkeep/landscaping/signage/communication.

We were supposed to stay in "Trees #6" then drove around in circles trying to find it. I called to ask where it was and the property manager mentioned that they were trying to work with HIPCAMP to get that site removed. We set up camp but it was pretty difficult as the ground was not level. We wouldn't have been given directions to the bathrooms/showers if we had not inquired.

Unfortunately, we did not have a great experience with this site.
We booked Site 4 and reviewed the Getting There instructions. Following them on site we came to a point in the road with multiple large downed branches that were impassable by car, much l less with our camp trailer. We had to back up in very tall unmowed grass to turn back. We called the number listed in the instructions and we're informed she did not work there anymore and could not assist.
Luckily, there were 2 other parties already on site looking for some instruction. They had wandered over to what seemed to be the main house on site and knocked on the door. The person inside told them that sites 4-6 were not, in fact, available and that we should all just figure out amongst ourselves where to park in sites 1-3. There were 2 trailers between us and 1 hammock camper. We surveyed the sites to figure out which would.work best for each group and then separated to set up. None of us knew if there other campers would be showing up later thinking we had taken their spot.
Once we were able to get a spot, the camping was as expected. Never went to the shower as it was a bit far and the guy at the main house didn't clarify if it was currently working. Composting toilet was close and standard.
Location is super convenient for Springfield and Eugene but I would not recommend staying here because there is no guarantee you'll get the site you booked or be able to get a hold of someone.

Great spot, one of my favorites in the eugene area. Hot day makes the short river walk well worth it. The Mohawk river is nice and shallow with a firm gravel bed Great for exploring and keeping cool. New signs and new camp spots are nice!

Great spot, as usual. In the woods now that it's drier. Ice storm this winter did a lot of damage but I can tell they've been working hard to get the whole place cleared up. River trail needs a bit of work too but wasn't too hard to get out there. Great swimming hole when it's hot!
