Welcome to Cedar Bloom, a 100 acre riverside sanctuary nestled in the forests of Southern Oregon, just outside the small town of Cave Junction. Set along a mile of the gorgeous Illinois River, Cedar Bloom is a place to slow down, reconnect with nature, and experience the simple beauty of life outdoors. During your stay, you're invited to enjoy all of Cedar Bloom's shared amenities, including two beautiful shower houses, sauna and wood fired hot tub, large commercial kitchen, tea House, camp store, nearby hiking trails, and a mile of private riverfront to explore. Spend the afternoon relaxing at our family beach, wandering peaceful forest paths, or cooling off at our beloved swim hole, where you'll often find mermaids perched on the rocks soaking up the sunshine. Perfectly located for exploring Southern Oregon, we're just a short drive from the Oregon Caves National Monument, the world renowned Redwoods, the Wild and Scenic Rogue River, wineries, hiking trails, Ashland, Grants Pass, Jacksonville, and the Southern Oregon Coast. Originally purchased in 2017 by Spirit Weavers Gathering, Cedar Bloom was created to protect this remarkable landscape while offering a peaceful place for people to gather, rest, learn, and heal. Each June, the land becomes home to Spirit Weavers, an annual women's gathering welcoming more than 1,200 women for two weeks of skill sharing, creativity, and connection. Throughout the rest of the year, we are honored to share this special place with campers, families, retreats, weddings, and travelers seeking a quiet escape into nature. Our family lives here year round and cares deeply for every meadow, forest trail, and stretch of river that makes Cedar Bloom so special. As caretakers of this land, we are committed to protecting its forests, river, and wildlife while inspiring a deeper appreciation for the natural world. OPEN CAMPING: Located right off the 199 Redwood Highway, we welcome you to choose from 100 acres of forested camping located right on the Illinois river with a short walk down to our own private riverside beach and refreshing swimming hole. This listing means that you provide your own tent, van or RV. You can also sleep right out under the stars if you wish! The camp is also just a short walk to the shared commercial kitchen, bathroom, shower house, sauna and tea house. We have sites located right on the river but you cannot drive down and need to cart your goods. Hipcamp gives a "site number" but there are no designated camping spots. Just lots of open beautiful forest that you can choose from to camp. Children under 5 are free. For more images and info visit our Instagram @cedarbloomfarm THE RIVER: We have a mile of river frontage with lots of great swim spots. Keiki Beach is the more shallow and flatter part of the river and is great for families. Mermaid Rock is our swimming hole with deeper waters. This area is clothing optional. We are close to the Redwoods, The Oregon Caves and so much more. We are also close to major cities such as Grants Pass, Medford, Crescent City and Ashland. CHECK IN and CHECK OUT: Please clean up and check out of your site by 12:pm on the day of your departure. You can check in by 2:pm on the day of your arrival. We do not offer day passes at this time. CLIMATE: SUMMER Season: (May-October) Typically sunny with a rare rain. Daytime: 70-95. Nighttime: 60-75. Swimming in the summer months is delicious. We have mostly pebbly beaches and a jagged rock and sand beach right where the Swimming hole is. The river is chilly until late June and it cools down again in late September. WINTER Season: (November-April). Typically crisp & cloudy with occasional rain & sun. Daytime: 45-65. Nighttime: 30-50. Please come prepared if you plan to camp in the winter. Things like hot water bottles and blankets are extra helpful. SHOWER HOUSE & SAUNA: We have twelve showers total. The first shower house is open showering with 4 showers and the 2nd shower house has 8 stalls. You are also welcome to use the sauna throughout your stay. Our 30 foot dome comfortably sleeps two to four guests and includes a queen bed with fresh linens for two. Plus a twin bed. The couch provides an additional sleeping option Inside you'll find electricity, a small kitchenette for coffee, a cozy lounge area, and a music player to enjoy during your stay. We ask that guests use our fully equipped community kitchen for most cooking, as it has everything you'll need. Please help us keep the dome beautiful by leaving shoes outside. The Forest Overlook Dome is a several minute walk from our hot showers overlooking the river, compost toilets, community kitchen, Tea House, Camp Store, walking trails, and shared gathering spaces. Please remember, you are still glamping so debris can get into the dome from time to time. Being out in nature, it can be hard to keep the dome and it's white couch and additions super clean but we do our best! Please note that the dome is not insulated. I loved my weekend stay at Cedar Bloom for the 4th of July. Mea was very communicative and responsive and gave us a warm welcome. The grounds are beautiful and well maintained, you can tell how much love has gone into it. We arrived around 7PM and while there were a lot of spots claimed, as it was a busy weekend, we still found a couple of good spots to choose from. We had more than enough space and didn't feel cramped at all. I was surprised at how quiet it was at night andI could barely hear any of our neighbors. The sauna, outdoor showers, and eco-toilets were a nice touch and very clean and well maintained. We brought our full cooking set up, so we didn't use the communal kitchen to cook our meals. The tea house is donation based (Venmo) and it was stocked with tons of teas and herbs to make your own tea. The river access was really great! We had coffee on the beach then went to the swimming hole area midday. The water is crystal clear and was so fun to swim in. Honestly, I can't wait to go back, it was well worth the 4.5 hour drive from Portland. I'd like to try staying in one of the A Frames or GeoDomes next time to mix it up. Highly recommend!

Overall the space is nice, a couple of cons are minor but a lovely spot. Something’s that can improve 1. Netting , the mainframes get hot during the summer but there wasp near by that made it hard to leave the side door open. 2. The bed itself was fine but was tucked under a shelf which made it hard to sleep. The beds are also on the smaller side, if you are 5’9 or taller you might not fit. The showers were nice but the curtains are worn and can’t stay closed. Other than that everything eles was great the river and the tea house! Definitely would recommend but always have some minor improvements to make this gem keep shining!

This is such a magical property - we felt lucky to spend time there! The river, the outdoor shower, the space, and the interesting structures were all really wonderful. One steps into this property and can just feel the depth of care put into the space. You won’t regret staying here!

I feel like the pictures on the site made it look nicer than it was. You basically just camp in a field with trees wherever there is a picnic table. The sauna smells, and the "hot" showers (of which have no shower curtains/3 in a row) are lukewarm at best. When we arrived we left and tried finding a different camp spot, but ended up coming back. On the plus side it felt safe, but would not come back.

We loved this little private oasis in CJ! The sauna and teahouse were beautiful and helped us feel amazing before sleep. The river was fun to play in with the kids. The gardens were great to wander through while waiting for our tea to cool. The showers and bathrooms were easy to access and everything was kept very clean. I would definitely recommend this to others and we will be back! :)

Cedar Bloom is a beautiful property and everyone I met there was kind. However, there were a few things that made our trip feel unsatisfactory. The main one being that there was somone mowing for almost every day of our trip, right next to our camp site. This loud mowing continued for hours, the latest time was 9PM and woke my sleeping toddler. I understand that they may have needed to do the work, but no one informed me this would be happening and it really disrupted our time there. I also found it odd that there were no curtains on the hot side of the shower nearest to the river. It’s a small detail, but in the photos I was led to believe there were curtains for privacy. The toilets and amenities were all far from the camps, which may be due to the time of year/being only allowed to camp past the Aframes and Domes. I also was disappointed about the fire ban, but understand that wildfires are no joke. I just wish it would have been more obviously posted when booking. That may not be up to the host though. As beautiful as the property was, I don’t believe I’ll be back due to the noise, lack of privacy, and lack of descriptions.

Forest Gnome Dome, Cedar Bloom
The host was very prompt with texting us and was available when we got lost. Such a sweet, unique place to stay on our national parks roadtrip. The tea room and spa were beautiful and so relaxing. Thank you for having us.

Peaceful & Unique visit
River Overlook Dome, Cedar Bloom
A really unique stay with friendly camp hosts! We stayed in the big dome which had a great view of the forest. We enjoyed the deck showers overlooking the river as well. It was a little too cold to swim but would love to come back and utilize the river and the sauna during a warmer part of the year. Very relaxing and calm space in southern Oregon to visit.

Peaceful and Perfect getaway place for the weekend or longer. The river is warm and clear, even in May!! Had the nicest time on property. Will def go back! Host communicated promptly and professionally.

Lovely place! Outdoor shower is the best overlooking river. Great swimming hole! Also became friends with their cat River! Tea house is precious. A fun property to explore. Would come back.

Moon A-Frame Cabin, Cedar Bloom
Cedar Bloom is magical. I loved staying in the A-Frame cabin with my pups. I would definitely stay again if I find myself roadtripping in the Cave Junction area (I live in SoCal and was on a 2-week roadtrip circling back home). Have already recommended it to 2 people who live in the area and are looking for a quiet, zen experience. Thanks to the host who was very responsive and gracious 🙏 ❤️

Cedar Bloom Open Camping
Cedar Bloom was a wonderful place to camp for the weekend. Only about an hour from the Redwoods, it's in a wonderful location with access to the Illinois river. They have river beaches to hang out at, a sauna and an open shower house with a view of the river from the shower (the back of the shower house is closed for privacy). We tent camped, though the yurts and A frames looked wonderful as well. It's open tent camping so you can pick your ideal spot; there weren't many people there when we visited so we had complete privacy. They also have a communal kitchen space that was very convenient. The composting toilets were also very nice, much cleaner and less smell than a normal pit toilet. Communication with Mea was very easy and she was very proactive with her communication. I would say this was the nicest camp ground I've been to, with so much more to offer than a standard state or national park camp ground. I love to wilderness camp, but the amenities that Cedar Bloom offers makes the price well worth it.

We loved our experience at Cedar Bloom. The land was lovely and the amenities were such a treat. The A frame was comfortable and we slept great. Love the vibe of this special place. Highly recommend!
