If you stayed here and have some insider info for us, let us know!
Our family with 2 little kids will join the chorus of happy campers! What a beautiful place with beautiful people. Our camping site was very private and beautiful. Shaded, spacious, covered with soft pine needles. Every day our kids wanted to feed baby geese and chickens, play with friendly cat Minx, and marvel at fireflies at night. The owners are very kind and friendly people, always available and never intrusive, who took genuine interest in our kids’ experience and our well-being. What a great place to disconnect from technology and commune with nature.
A special place to visit and stay
This is not our first visit to Laurenwood, but it is our first time camping in a tent at the farm, and also first time using Hipcamp. Deborah and Eric are fantastic hosts, and the farm and all the animals that live there are wonderful. Camping was peaceful and the campsite had all we needed; a big grassy area, trees for shade, a long new picnic bench, large wooden, clean (non-smelly :), outhouse, a propane BBQ, table and chairs, fire-pit, wood for the fire, and drinking water within a short pleasant stroll. Where we were camping on the farm, we had red squirrels and a multitude of birds to entertain us. Horses in the nearest field and some beautiful very friendly goats just a minutes' walk away. Deborah and Eric have a farm shop, where we bought cheese, milk and fresh-from-the-farm veggies on Saturday morning, which fuelled us through the day, ready for our bike ride back to the city. Laurenwood farm is a special place to visit and stay, whether in a tent or in one of the other non-tenting options that are offered (cabin/barn etc.)... Thank you again Deborah and Eric - we will be back :)
The farm experience everyone needs!
Deborah and Eric made our stay so pleasant! From the moment we arrived, we felt very welcomed. We got to enjoy their CSA farm stand that is open on Saturdays we also met some of the locals who frequent the farm. Eric and Deborah even picked the fruit and vegetables that morning - talk about farm to table!
Hearing their heirloom stories about the land, their plans on future development and learning about regenerative farming was a huge highlight, it opened our eyes to the farming lifestyle and how much hipcamp can help the modern farmer.
The site was very spacious, clean, and private - It came fully equipped with a large picnic table, nice big outhouse, barbecue, and a fire ring with firewood. It would be a great spot for a group or family. They also have a small cottage stay and barn loft on the property. We hiked the many trails on the property and paid a visit to the many animals they have. There is also a cute pond in which you can swim or paddle in with the provided canoe.
We would highly recommend Laurenwood Farm to anyone!
Amazing experience on a lovely farm
Absolutely loved our two night stay. Hosts Deborah and Erik were warm, welcoming, and made us and our young kids feel at home on the farm. We learned so much, thanks to them being so open to our many questions and curiosities.
Our camp site was immaculate; private, clean, and well stocked with everything we needed.
Definitely will be back, next time hopefully for a longer stay.
Thank you !
After three nights spent at the beautiful camping of Laurenwood Farm.
I can say that I will definitely come back with no hesitation.
My Boyfriend and I were welcomed warmly by the hosts.
we were able to enjoy a wonderful stay in the farm and admire the nature as a whole.
we were able to revitalize ourselves far from the city and enjoy the delicious biological and local products sold in their farm market
we recommend this camping and we hope you can meet Deborah and Eric who are very kind and respectful hosts who work really hard for their farm.
Perfect stay on a working farm
Absolutely Perfect. If you want to stay on a beautiful working farm full of life and energy then this is the spot. The hosts were incredibly helpful and flexible and gave us a beautiful detailed tour of the place. The sites were private at the back of the farm but finding someone to talk to was a short walk away. The chickens are easy to find but make sure you say hello to all the animals. We will be back with our kids next time. Also buy everything they offer you at the farm stand. Its all tasty. Thanks again to the hosts who fielded a million gardening questions and felt like friends when we left.
My stay at Laurenwood Farm was an experience to remember. From the hosts, to the campsite, to the animals, I could go on. When I say, it was an experience to remember, I mean every bit of fun, excitement and joy I could hope for for myself, two young autistic daughters and goofy sisters. Although, we did not stay our whole intended trip of two nights, I am already looking into booking my next girls weekend get away.
The hosts right off the bat, make you feel welcome and share lots of knowledge and tips for navigating their incredibly beautiful land.
Meeting many of their furry, feathery and hairy friends while exploring dirt roads and wooded trails.
The super lovable, blind, older horse named Raider, will melt your heart and was definitely my favourite.
Finishing our short but sweet trip with a box of fresh veggies and a cartoon of eggs.
Looking forward to future adventures with our friends at The Forest at Laurenwood Farm.
Thanks for an amazing birthday weekend for my family and I 💜🐴
