There is plenty of soft sand to set up one tent or ten tents; large groups are welcome for an extra fee. A Porta-Potty is available at the campsite. Swimming is usually possible at the base of the falls; however, large amounts of rain can change conditions and make it unusable.
I should also add, this is not a completely private campsite deep in the woods. The camp is visible from a shared driveway, and my residence is up a hill that overlooks the area. Also, I do not own the land on the other side of the stream. Occasionally, the owners of that land will spend a weekend afternoon enjoying the waterfall view also. Still much quieter and more private than a regular campground.
Glamping tents and additional camping tents are available through a local company. Look in the pictures for the tent with red, white, and blue balloons. Message me for details.
Close to US National Whitewater Center (mountain biking, whitewater rafting, kayaking), Kings Mountain National Military Park (Horseback riding and history), Crowders Mountain (Hiking), 3 miles off of I-85 and US-321 for people passing through.

This was a stress-free, relaxing, camping trip. Our dogs and boys loved the water. My husband and I enjoyed cooling off in the waterfall. A very clean campsite and very responsive host. We were lulled to sleep by the sound of the waterfall; I’ve never slept better while camping.
It was one of a kind. Peaceful, private, and fun.
A great host that greeted us on arrival and gave us pointers and history of the spot.
Can't wait to go back again.

What can I say, I LOVE THIS PLACE. When we finally left we all felt disoriented coming back into Charlotte so quickly. We really felt we were in a state park, rather than private property. The calming sounds of the waterfall, the stream, the sound of nature right out the tent door, was everything. Spending time visiting the goats, chickens and even the beautiful Great Pyrenees herding dog. The whole experience is worth multiple trips here. Cannot wait to go back. My grandsons words were, "Momo, this was the best day EVER!" We all loved it.
Really great space. Perfect balance of shaded and sunny! We had lots of room to set up camp and our kids had a blast playing in the sand. Still a bit cold in the water for us but I’m sure we will be back! You cannot beat the sound of the waterfall at night.

This place was truly amazing. I couldn't believe it was so close to home yet so beautiful and big. It was so fun and the sliding rock was so much fun. I have 3 yr old twins and teenage girls and it was so fun and relaxing. Love it and will be back

Thanks to Scott for sharing this little gem! My grandchildren enjoyed celebrating their birthdays outside, enjoying nature and being unplugged from their devices for two whole days! It was a great learning experience for them as well. They got to sleep in their own tent away from mom & dad for the first time, totally awesome trip!
