Forest, meadow, and a delicious mountain range view....this property feels secluded with one residence besides ours in view, yet is only a few hundred yards off of Hwy 93. Easily accessible whether you're a cycler or RVer. Our acreage is smack dab on an elk route from water to the hills, so when they are using this route, we see them every few days. Deer, coyotes, eagles, hawks and owls are frequent guests, with occasional drop-ins by wolves, moose, and bears. We are mid-build on our home and have a lively family and dog. The two RV spots are about 25 yards from our house, so be aware we will all be sharing the space, to a degree. There is plenty of space for your dog(s) to run. We should communicate to let our dogs meet, but if they get along, no leashes needed. Many summer nights we host bonfires and music, but we're not too wild; things will quiet down around 11 p.m. Water and electric are solid; wifi from the house may reach you. Black and gray water dumping is available for a fee. We are mere minutes from many local lakes, 25 minutes from the Canadian border, 12 minutes from Eureka, 2 minutes to a gas station, 45 minutes from Whitefish, and about 70 minutes from the West Entrance to Glacier National Park.

Are you looking for an adventure and opportunities to explore the wilderness and Lake Koocanusa? We offer amazing trail rides with scenic views and lessons with an experienced guide and trainer. Come experience camping off grid in the true beautiful nature and wildlife of Montana. We have an off grid ranch on 161 acres bordered by the Kootenai National Forest and Lake Koocanusa just down the dirt road. It's very wooded but does have a few open meadows. Our land is very private surrounded by beautiful mountains, forestry, wildlife and streams/creeks. The lake has a great beach front for swimming, kayaking, canoeing, fishing, etc. There's a boat launch 3 miles away for bigger boats or pontoons. Our property also provides direct access to hundreds of miles of trails for hiking, horse trail riding, biking, snowmobiling and 4-wheeling. Trail riding is available for ages 14 & up. Trail rides are only conducted by appointments in advance. If you are not comfortable riding a trail ride, we offer riding lessons and you can still interact with the horses by feeding, petting, grooming, learning horsemanship skills, riding in a controlled round pen or arena. No matter what you do you will be happy with your horse experience. Oh, don't forget the Nigerian Dwarf goats. They love people too. Want to bring your own horse? This is a wild and exposed setting on steeper grass/dirt driveway(0-13degree grade) that best suits smaller RV's/Campers, all Overlanders, ATV's, and in general those with four-wheel/AWD ability. This is an adventurous site on the Kootenai River with a marked trail, tall pines, and steep rock scrambles to the water where the fish often bite. There are 2 numbered campsites, both yours to use with your booking. Additionally there is an outhouse toilet and two fire rings. The lower scenic space is good for one rig, and the upper space will hold a few rigs if that is needed. There is cell service for most carriers if you need it, but NO other utilities are present on-site, other than the toilet. There is potable water and black/gray dump available in town, and the Moyie Store is only a couple of miles away. Turn right at the white vinyl fence just after 86 Tall Timber Rd. The white fence in the photo's is only a few feet off of the paved road. Drive 900ft down the grass/dirt driveway to the landing area and enjoy! See photo’s for more guidance. Follow the white and blue hiking emblems to get you to the scramble to the river. Only scramble to the river if you have experience bouldering. There is about 200ft of Class 3 steepness when considering the 5 classes on the Yosemite Decimal ratings scale. Flat landers do not typically enjoy the scramble but may enjoy the hiking loop. Please do not burn any of the logs that are used as guides along the hiking trails. Campfires are usually allowed, but there are local fire regulations at the Idaho Department of Lands website. Be safe, follow the daily fire rules.

If you are looking for quietude, this is your spot! Twenty acres situated minutes from lakes, rivers and US Forest Service land. Partly forested and partly pasture land, we boast Aspen, Fir, Spruce and Pine trees. Wildlife that commonly pass through include coyote, elk, deer and badger. Lots of bird life from woodpeckers and blue jays to eagles and owls. Fuel, groceries and river access available a short fifteen minute drive away. Lake access is only twenty minutes to the closest, Murphy Lake. Half a dozen other lakes within a thirty minute range. We have a campfire ring set up at your RV/Camp site and camp wood is available. You have fresh, potable water on site as well as electric hook-up. No RV dump available. We welcome campers with pets at the campground/RV site! Since we do have neighbors and wildlife, we require pets to be leashed when not secured in our fenced area. We are located outside of the range of cell service when on-site however we do have wifi available at the host cabin.
