The location of the campsite is great for a long roadtrip. Unfortunately campsite #4 was covered in dog poop, and the bathroom was locked. When we tried to text the hosts, no response.

The location is beautiful. The ride up union pass is a well maintained dirt road, we got in late and had to drive it in the dark (would not recommend if you can avoid) but the road was wide enough to manage opposite direction vehicles. The spot was easy to find and get set up, the front to back leveling was a little step but side to side was good. Spot #2 still has line and neutral crossed so you'll need to use power from spot #1.

Had a lot of fun during our stay. It is a very beautiful area and the most dog friendly camp we have been to. Our dogs were able to play off leash in the field with all the local dogs. Was able to do a UTV rental out of season with just a couple days notice before our arrival. Tim had tons of trail recommendations and was a lot of fun to talk with.

This is a tough review to write as we really liked Tim, the manager of the location. The site was adequately sized, level, quiet, and offered water and electricity. We had no problems finding it as the directions were good, but be forewarned, it is 5 miles up a mountain. We travel with two golden retrievers and try to be responsible and respectful dog owners. What I didn't like was that the other RVs with pets did not clean up after their dogs. After setting up on the site, I filled a plastic grocery bag with dog poop from around our site as I did not want to inadvertently step in it, have my dogs step in it, or worse yet, have our two knuckleheads roll around in it. IMO, this shows a lack of respect for the manager, the property, and other RVers.

Directions were easy to follow. There was about 5 miles or so of unpaved road up the mountain to the sites. The sites were all lined up, kind of close to each other. There was also the rental shop and a restaurant/bar in the same area. We didn’t try the restaurant but it was open. There was a really big field across the road that we were able to let the doggos run free, off leash.

We pulled a camper trailer from Illinois to Union Pass campground and then stayed onsite for a few days. It was wonderful! Wildlife and beautiful vistas each day. We rented a side by side to trek around in the Shoshone National Park and absolutely loved it!

Overall, we had a good experience. The location at the top of the mountain was beautiful. Unfortunately, the pictures did not depict the closeness of other campers and was not as private as we expected. Although Tim did let us know that the UTV rentals were going to be closed during our time there, he did not let us know until day before our stay. We had planned to rent a UTV during our stay. This was disappointing as well.

This is truly a TOP IF THE MOUNTAIN experience. Wonderful views up and down. It was so quiet and peaceful. Nothing fancy, but perfect for a good night’s rest. If I am ever back in the area, I have plans to stay again!

This was a perfect location for our trip, the views getting here and back were amazing. We will definitely stay here again. Tim was awesome, chatted with him at the shop before we left and we’ll be spending an extra day or two next time and renting a side by side and hit some remote fishing areas

Tim has a nice set up! The location couldn’t be more perfect, the drive up the mountain has incredible views and the site itself has reliable water & electric. Even though the Tetons/Yellowstone are 1.5 hours away, you can’t beat the price to stay here. There is so much hiking around this spot & so much beauty to explore. Tim is very knowledgeable about the area and is more than accommodating! He even helped me change a tire on my camper before I left. I stayed 3 nights and enjoyed every minute.

Tim was so kind and communicative. The campsite was closer to other campers than I expected but it had all the amenities we needed. It was a beautiful spot and there was a restaurant and shop right on the grounds. I would definitely recommend this spot and Tim to anyone!

Great spot, and Tim was awesome. My dog got a lot of exercise running with the pack. I only stayed one night, but next time I'm passing through I'm staying longer and hitting the trails!

We enjoyed our second stay at Tim’s place. It’s not fancy but everything works as expected, Tim is very responsive when needed and he has great tips for trail ridding in the National Forests just 5 minutes away. Side X Side rentals next door. Sites have good electric and water hookups that’ are great for my allergies vs boondocking. The view is wonderful with two great options for dinning within 1-5 minutes. Wild life sights a daily event. Looking forward to our next stay at Tim’s!

Beautiful site! Very peaceful aside from some noise from side-by-sides going to and from. We rented a side-by-bide for the day and had a blast! There is also a really great stream/creek down the road that we really enjoyed swimming in (its cold! But super fun). Tim's pup, Woody, was also so much fun! We saw tons of deer. Kids loved it! Restaurant right by the site has great food. Tim was also great!- Really friendly and helpful. Would love to stay again!
Be prepared for a bumpy ride up the mountain though.

Perfect for what we were looking for, but I wouldn’t typically recommend this spot for tent camping. It’s set up great for campers and especially for those with UTV’s or ATV’s. That being said we liked our stay, but we did get snow overnight in late June! Views from around every corner are incredible.

Absolutely loved our stay on Tim's land plenty of room to roam beautiful views and the most kind and friendly folks you may ever have the chance to come by. Tim was super accommodating when we needed to book another night when we were having difficulties booking our next stop heading north. Location is up the mountain, the road is dirt but well maintained just like any other dirt road take it slow and it will be smooth. Just an hour outside of Grand Teton National park.

We had a great stay at Tim’s land. The area is gorgeous! Electric & water hook ups were all in working order. We have an electric surge protector and no electrical faults were found. The other campers were respectful and friendly. ATV rentals close by to ride the awesome forestry trails in the area. Tim responded quickly to all our questions and was always upbeat and friendly. We have booked another stay this summer.

Tim was really welcoming. Super doggo friendly. I had booked another place (not Hipcamp) that was like Freddy Kruger campground and found myself with nowhere to stay. Tim let me come right up.
The scenery is beautiful!
This would be an awesome place to set up camp for folks who want to rent or bring ATVs! Tim has a rental and maintenance facility right there for you with some cool looking rentals. Note: this is an active business.
I felt VERY safe there! People were great and I had confidence all the ATV noise was keeping any bears away!

We camped for a night in an rv on tims land and it was beautiful. tim was super helpful and accommodating upon arrival. it is a bit of a drive up the mountain with some really bumpy roads but totally worth it.

The sites were as advertised and since it was late in the season we had our choice. The 4+ mile road to site was as well graded a dirt road that have driven on. A good site to get out and be away.

Water at site, good wi-fi, close to CD trail, national forest. Not sure I would have found it without help from a passing local and Joel being at the shop to point out where I needed to go. Caters to off road vehicles, so if that’s not your thing, just a basic place to park with a portapotty. But perfectly fine to stay for a night. Thanks Joel!

The views climbing the mountain on 5 miles up the mountain were beautiful, when we turned in to the mountain and rental shop we lost them all. We were right next to the dirt road and the dust and noise from the quads was insane. Also be careful of the #2 electric- it wired with reverse polarity so we had to use electric from site #1.
