Dry Camp RV Site

Vehicle site · Sleeps 4 · Vehicles under 50 ft
The dry camp site is located in small grassy field on generally level ground. This dry camp site has no hook ups available. Campers will need to be able to sustain with on board water/power. As there is one other camp site nearby, we ask that generators are not used after 8PM. There is plenty of space to navigate around the site, but we do recommend larger rigs walk the space before pulling in.
This campsite near Cody offers a tranquil escape with stunning mountain vistas and unforgettable sunsets, making it a popular stop for travelers heading to Yellowstone. Guests appreciate the quiet, open spaces and the proximity to town, which allows for easy exploration of local attractions. Many reviews highlight the welcoming hosts and the well-maintained site with essential hookups. However, a few visitors felt a lack of personal interaction with the hosts, as the site is located in the front yard of their home.
Pictures don’t do this site justice. The evening views are fantastic! Nice long country road allows dog walks with views and livestock nearby. Quiet and close to town.
We really enjoyed the stay! it was close enough to town, yet far enough away.bit had great views of the local mountain ranges.
I would stay there again if RVing and it was available.
This was a nice, quiet location with beautiful country views. The hosts gave us our privacy and provided the information we needed to find the spot and hook up. It was close to town and yet far enough away to enjoy the wide open spaces that surround Cody.
They do not have a dump tank but the City of Cody offers a free RV dump site out near the airport. The water and electricity hookups were what we most needed for our short stay.
We would definitely stay here again.
This site was perfect for My family And I. We stayed here 3 nights and it was so quiet and peaceful which is exactly what we needed after our busy days. It’s very close to everything you’d want in Cody. Tad and his family were great hosts. I’d highly recommend this spot to anyone.
This place was great nice set up had a 30 amp hook up. We were able to use the restroom in the house trailer they had there. There was a place to get rid of your gray/water black water when you left. Just all around there really as nice as any campground that I’ve been to.
Exactly as described. Very quiet locale with a Mountain View. So peaceful. Close drive to town. This was perfect for our overnight going from the Black Hills to Yellowstone. Thank you!
This place is a gem. It's quiet, peaceful, cute, and well-kept. The host is available, welcoming, and friendly. Went to the rodeo on Tuesday night and it was great fun. I definitely would return the next time I pass this way.
We were disappointed. We were camping in the middle of the host’s house and chores. Our vacation was watching and listening to someone work around us. We felt in the way and an inconvenience. We were never greeted. It was all very bizarre.
This was a very quiet location surrounded by homes on acreage but essentially in the front yard of the home. There was no one around as far as we could tell.
Was grateful for the clear instructions on arriving at Tads land. The views were phenomenal, 350 degrees of mountains and ranch land. Was close to town but not in town. Tad put out comfortable chairs and a clean picnic table for us. Would recommend to friends.
Easy access just outside of Cody, Wyoming. Flat spot with good water and electric just outside Tad and Janie’s home. Nice lane with no traffic for a dog walk. Cows in the field were very interested in our dog. Quiet with a beautiful view.
Today we left another awesome hipcamp. It is situated 5 minutes from Cody WY just down the road from the Cheif Joseph Scenic Highway and Yellowstone. Tad was very kind and answered all our questions. The site was everything that was advertised.
Was an absolutely beautiful place to stay! Was so quiet, peaceful, and the views were amazing! You’re so close to downtown Cody, to mountain biking trails, and we even made the drive to Yellowstone. Would absolutely recommend. Thank you again for a wonderful stay!
We loved this Campspot. Beautiful views, plenty of room, and oh, the sunsets!!! The camp was only a few minutes from town but felt like you were in the country surrounded by farmlands and grazing cows. The host was very responsive and helpful with everything we needed. We would definitely stay here again.
We loved having our first RV experience on Tad’s land. Our spot had this lovely pastoral landscape with cows grazing nearby. We stayed 3 nights and wish we had stayed longer. We will be back!
