The Bearlodge Mountain Resort can be a quiet getaway from a hectic lifestyle, a base camp for hunting, an adventure-packed vacation, or a great spot to stay while you tour area attractions.​ Where "networking" is two pickups parked in the middle of the road so that their drivers can visit. Where we go grocery shopping in the woods during the fall. Where "neighbors" might live two hours away or just down the road. Where directions are given in "north and south" instead of "right and left". Life's a little slower, people a little more sincere and a handshake still means something! PLEASE READ: IMPORTANT INFORMATION FOR TENT CAMPING: I don't have any shower or bathroom facilities. The closest place I know of is the Conoco a mile north of my place on Cleveland St. They have a truck stop and I'm told the shower is nice. There is a chance I won't be on site to greet you, but so far everyone has been incredibly respectful and found some great places to put up a tent. I trust you!

It is a quiet place to camp with a nice view. The owner is pleasant to talk with. If you blink you miss the drive which is kind of steep. Someday he will have the septic completed and it will be full hookup at some of his rv sites. Pleasantly located on the side of Sundance.

The site was level, easy in and out, convenient to town. The driveway entrance is a little steep, and hard to see. We missed it twice and had to turn around, be aware. Also, the Cowgirl Pizza across the street is permanently closed, in case you were planning on pizza for dinner.

Just off I-90 in Sundance, Wyoming. 30 minutes from Devil’s Tower and close to Rapid City. Nestled back in the hills, with electricity, but no water or toilet. However, this wasn’t a problem since we had our own. We received good directions and had no trouble finding the place. There is a nice, long driveway to walk with no traffic. We never met the host, but had a nice stay.

It's a very quiet, seemingly remote (though you're right next to a pizza place) space. We saw deer as we drove up the driveway. It's very serene.

Great & easy spot to find! Responsive host who was able to accommodate us for an extra afternoon so we could check out deadwood! Only a 45 min drive away. Perfect spot if driving through the area

I stayed in the electric only hookup sites. It was clean and level. The sites were setup before and separate from the cabins and full hookups, which was nice. It also backed into a hill. I was the only one in that area which was a bonus and gave it a sense of being secluded although there were others around the corner. The views looked over the landscape was pretty and relaxing to look at. The area was nice and quiet. Communications w Bearlodge was easy, responsive, and informative. It was a quick overnight stay, but I enjoyed it. Id stay again!

Tent camping here was cool. There were horses on the property, not far away, and we had fun watching them. A deer was on the cliff side before sunset.

We loved our stay at Bearlodge in Sundance! It was super convenient being right off the interstate and easy to find at night after we left Mt. Rushmore! Easty hook up and a beautiful scenery, doesn’t get better than that! Easy walk to the laundromat and pizza place across the street but the pizza place was closed! Will def stay again!

We loved staying at Bearlodge before we climbed devils tower! The owners were incredibly accommodating when our dates shifted due to weather. We will absolutely be back!

Gps took me just past the driveway up to Bear lodge - where there’s a small wagon labeled Bear lodge and I drove right past it Anyway that’s on me. I doubled back and found it easy enough. The host was on site and he is an amiable young fellow. Let me pick where I wanted to set up camp. I found a flat space and read a bit before calling it a night. Was able to enjoy a cool night sleep - no bugs. Woke up to a lovely view. Nice spot for a night

I enjoyed the campsite very much. The host was very easy to work with and very accommodating to my group. The area could use some signage and mowing but I know that we were the first ones they ever hosted.
