We loved it here! The location is really cool and Puget Island is beautiful! At low tide there’s a little sandy beach at the site. We would come back for sure!

This camp was a great home base for exploring the Puget Island area. We brought our kayaks and paddled to Coffee Pot Island. We also brought the bikes for a lovely ride. The camp had everything we needed. It was so nice to be right on the water. The hosts were welcoming and helpful.

The host was very kind and greeted me when I arrived to welcome me and answer any questions. I noticed the directions to the location in the text/email were not correct - but happened to find the address eventually in one of the other email comms from booking.
The campsite is located across the river from a paper mill which can be both smelled and heard. But the wind in the cottonwoods was nice. The portapotties definitely need some attention as do some of the other amenities.

We found the site to be perfectly as advertised and lovely. The local deer are adorable and don’t seem to mind the company. The riverside location provides a great breeze and an active and diverse bird habitat. Camp hosts Mike and Marie are friendly as can be, and the sites are maintained well with plenty of activity options. 10/10 would recommend and book again

Perfect spot for someone who’s just needing a night off the road. I appreciated having it all to myself and enjoyed the sunlight sparkling on the water. The smell from the nearby pulp mill was challenging for me personally but I am sure it wouldn’t bother everybody. The hosts put a lot of thought into their place to make it simple and user-friendly and I always appreciate folks who understand a dog being off leash. Thank you.

I loved that they had a few options of games to play, badminton and corn hole are the two I can remember. I appreciate that there is 2 porta potties on site so if there were campers at the second plot there wasn't waiting to use the rest room. It's really close to town (8min) if you happen to forgot anything but still really quiet at the camp, I heard birds I've never had encountered before. I was also excited to find out that 2 min down the road is a ferry to Orgeon!

Great location. Be careful of the current when you walk down to the beach as it is extremely strong and we had kids with us. Otherwise great spot

Campsite is next to the road and open area so it not really private. There are houses next to the campsite. The owner pass by to check on us and they were really nice! Even brought us fresh eggs. Campsite is facing the river so overall it is fun yo bring paddles boards and enjoy water

Had a fantastic stay here! Marie and Mike were incredibly hospitable and it was so nice to be by the river. We cycled around the island, kayaked to coffee pot island, and visited the Little Island Creamery.

We enjoyed camping at Marie's site. We had a nice view of the Columbia River, saw a cargo ship pass by and enjoyed the serene environment. Our two dogs loved it as well, plenty of good smells.

This is our second time camping here and it’s one of our absolute favorites !! Marie and Mike are the nicest people ever and this campsite is awesome right on the river soft and sandy ! Will definitely be back again !

Pros are that the spot was well maintained and the beach access was nice to sit out and enjoy. Very peaceful and our hosts were absolutely wonderful! Encouraging us to have a great time, not fussy about anything, and there was a huge pile of drift would that we were able to use for fire wood.
Cons are that the paper mill across the water was pretty loud at night, it didn’t bother me but did bother my kids. And you are right next to a road and can see houses (they weren’t close, but if the occupants were outside their house, they would be able to see you) on either side. People are walking their dogs and driving by. Just a little awkward.
I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend the spot if the above didn’t bother you.

We just left the camp and has an amazing time! Maria was prompt and very responsive with lots of activity suggestions. The owner of the place greeted us when we arrived and asked to let Marie know if we needed anything and that he’d be happy to help. He gathered wood for us prior and showed us where there is more wood if we needed. He also gave us eggs his hens just hatched fresh and also let us greet and pet his friendly dogs! We felt very welcome and safe. The camp site itself is very clean and has lots of room with clean porta potties (2) and an area for games (beach volleyball and corn hole). Overall wonderful experience with wonderful hosts. The island is also amazing to explore as well and we went kayaking at the marina. Fun experience, we recommend!

Perfect place for those who want river access to fish. Large site, clean porta potty, bonus volleyball net.
Pictures and description should be more forthcoming about the large and loud, 24hr paper mill directly across the river. It’s all you see when looking out at the river, it’s loud like a train 24hrs a day, and completely lit up at night. You also back up to the main road, and are directly next to a neighboring house. It could be perfect for some, but the listing needs to be more honest.

The location was very nice and away from big cities. It’s not too far from the road but it’s not a busy road. The owner was kinda and quick to respond. The portapottys were very clean and stocked with tp. We booked both campsites and highly recommend doing so if you want to have maximum privacy and space.

We enjoyed dry camping at this location. It was quiet and we loved having a real fire. It was terrific location. We are considering a family camp at both sites!

Marie and Michael were great hosts during our stay. The sites are close to couple of houses, but far enough away that it didn’t seem to matter. There is a shared river access point which is what really makes the site stand out. Great views of the river and surrounding hills. The site was big enough for 6 tents but anymore might be pushing it without renting both. I’d recommend to anyone looking for a chill group site on the river!

Hosts were friendly, stopped by for a chat and live nearby. There was plenty of firewood.
The site is way too small for three sites - no privacy whatsoever from the other groups and most Hipcamps we've gone to for even close to this price would count the entire area as one site. The "beach" is very tidal so for more than half the time we were there there was no beachy area for the kids to play at. Additionally there are no enforced sound regulations and the group next door to us (taking both campsites, their tents were literally less than 10 feet away from our firepit) were raving until after midnight with noise and movement until 5am. The site is also literally on the road, you just pull off to park basically. We had kids and felt that the place was marketed as a perfect place for two families to enjoy an evening but everyone was up until the wee hours and there was no privacy from the group next door whatsoever and not even a beach area to escape to. Don't recommend at this price point - if it was the same price for the entire location that would be great.

Easy to find and very convenient to camp and stay. Access to the river is fun and could have a quick swim if you wanted during nice weather.
There's plenty of room to stay on solid ground, but be a little careful in the sand not to get stuck, I'm proof that can happen ;)

Lovely location, quiet. Portapottys were clean. Entertainment options & the fire pit are a bonus! Beautiful scenery. The river water is so clean. Hosts even provided fire wood & a lighter. Would definitely stay again. Never lost service either (T-Mobile)

You will not be disappointed what so ever. This is not only an ideal location , but very spacious. We had a tent and a camper and 3 vehicles. We had several friends join us for the day of fun and food and there was plenty of parking. The site over look on the app is spot on as far as how much space there was. The hosts were more than accommodating and they even provided bathrooms with toilet seat covers and TP too. They have games for you to play and were super super nice as well as communicative . Would highly recommend this place if you have a large group. The two sites together are perfect for large groups and it’s right on the river so you can fish. Our dogs had plenty of safe space to roam and have a blast. Will be back again.
