The view is unbeatable. The hwy noise make a little less peaceful, but a great location to hit the spots of Cape Disappointment and Astoria. I found it amusing that is in the presumed location of Lewis and Clark's "Dismal Niche" where there were trapped for several days before completing their journey to the mouth of the Columbia. It was far from dismal for me.

We've driven past the gate so many times on the way to Long Beach, and I always thought it was the perfect little piece of property for a camper or campout. I was right! What a perfect spot, especially if you're into watching boats or fishing. Right on the water, clean spot, power...perfect for vans, tents, small trailers. We have a cabover camper and fit great. You will need to have some driving skills to get situated just right, but completely worth it. The traffic noise wasn't an issue, just cars and trucks. Not anyworse than a NFS road.

Pros: Gorgeous views of the Columbia River and wildlife. Close to Astoria, Warrington, and Longbeach. Fenced enclosed area with no neighbors that let our dogs romp without care.
Cons: Close to roadway with noise and headlights at night. Large permanent fifth wheel on site that limits maneuvering with travel trailer.
Would recommend for camping and small trailer or van.

This place offers a good view, a roomy enough spot for our trailer and to set chairs out and enjoy the fire. It’s also close to shopping in Astoria and only 30 minutes to seaside. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay here. The host was great!

Loved our stay on this unique property! Incredible views! Was so nice to have my dog off leash with noone else around. Worth noting that there is an unoccupied RV on the lot. The gate was unreliable but I'm sure it will be fixed in no time.

Beautiful view right on the river exactly as the host described. Loved the sunsets and star gazing. Close to everything, Astoria and the beaches. Definitely use caution pulling in, but really easy and feasible.

This spot is ok. Great view. The Bluetooth gate is convenient.
The two issues I could see for a lot of people;
1) I have a short bed F150 and a 24’ trailer, and there isn’t enough room to pull off the road completely to open the gate. There is somewhat of a blind corner to the east, and you’ll be blocking the road to back in through the gate. Similarly you’ll have to pull into the road and stop to close the gate.
2) The owner’s trailer is onsite and really restricting space. The slides were all open and it really limits access to park a trailer and a truck in there. Without it, there would be plenty of space to maneuver. But I had to back my trailer down into a hole to fit both behind the gate.

Beautiful site all alone, right on the Columbia River. We saw a pair of Bald Eagles, lots of water birds and river otters. The directions were easy and the site had electricity. We could see Astoria across the river. Highly recommend if you’re looking for time away from the hustle and bustle of the city but still want to go explore town. You need to have your own trailer or rv for restroom. But we found the nearby Cape Disappointment state park has hot Showers and dump station for $10 day use fee.

Great spot if you want easy access to Astoria. Traffic driving by can absolutely see you camping, if you don’t care about cars driving by then no biggie. We have a reactive dog so no other campers is a bonus. Privacy in that sense was great. There is a very small space to pull in and there is high speed traffic, I do not recommend RV past 25ft and if you’re uncomfortable backing in on a busy road. There is working cell phone signal. Site could use some slight upkeep. Don’t park on grass it is not level, stay on rocks. Good communication with host. Would recommend.
