Forest Camping with Farm Animals
We had the pleasure of staying at Kat and Jason’s farm for the second time, and it was just as magical as the first! The farm is home to a variety of exotic animals, including capybaras, wallabies, emus, and of course, the goats and chickens that we all loved hanging out with. Honestly, just spending time with the chickens and goats was enough to make our trip unforgettable.
Our kids were so excited to come back—they begged us to return. The entire family had an incredible time, and it was wonderful to see how much Kat and Jason care for their animals. You can tell they put a lot of love and effort into maintaining the farm and ensuring that every animal is well cared for.
The campsite itself was clean, private, and well-maintained, with porta-potties that were clean as well. The memories we made here will last a lifetime, and we can’t wait to come back again next year!
Highly recommend this farm for anyone looking for a unique, fun, and family-friendly experience. Thanks again, Kat and Jason, for being such wonderful hosts!

Wonderful place to spend a couple nights. Kat and Jason are lovely, and we all enjoyed the farm experience. We were lucky enough to arrive when a litter of baby capybaras were only 2 days old! Our 7-year-old daughter loved every moment, and is already talking about our next visit.

This was our first introduction to camping and our kids are hooked. Great super cool hosts, tons of animals to play wjth, and only 12 minutes to a bunch of restaurants!

We had an absolutely wonderful stay at the healing farm and will definitely be back. Our weekend started with a brief tour from the host who was amazing and very accommodating. We spent all day hanging out with the many animals and were even invited to join a farm tour on Saturday. Thank you for the great experience!!

We loved our stay at The Healing Farm! It's so fun to interact with and feed the exotic animals (and the not-so-exotic ones). You can tell Kat and Jason really love them and they take great care of them. We got to feed and pet a mamma wallaby while her baby was peeking out from her pouch 😍. The camping is great too. The sites are roomy and spread out over ten acres of wooded area, so you won't be close to neighbor campers. Kat and Jason are awesome. The animals are awesome. Visit them, get the chocolate goat's milk, and make a donation to the farm!

We had so much fun camping on the farm. The people, the animals, and the forest were lovely. It is obvious that the land and the creatures are tended to with love. My son loved feeding the animals and running in the forest. I can't wait to take his younger siblings!

We loved our time at The Healing Farm! Our daughters (6 and 3) were obsessed with all the animals (but especially the chicks!) and we had a great time learning about the various animals and their care. Kat and Jason were both so helpful and were wonderful hosts. We enjoyed going on the tour, too!

We had a beautiful time here. Kat and Jason were warm and welcoming. Kat let me and my four year old milk their goat Waverly, which was so special. Highlights were feeding the capybara, seeing the baby walking in its mama’s pouch, encountering the alpaca and horse wandering near our tent, and watching the goats roam on a walk. Also, my kiddo was hooked on the fresh chocolate goat milk.
If you are coming with kids, this is a magical experience. I hope we can come back.
It might be useful to know that the bathroom is a portapotty, and we heard we can use the shower indoors, which is great to know.

This place is amazing. Campsites nice and flat, with fire ring and picnic table. They clearly care so much for their animals and make campers feel totally welcome, and invited to mingle with them. My kids and I loved not only seeing animals we’ve never seen anywhere, but also getting to feed and pet and hold some of them too. 100/10 recommended!

The animals at the farm are friendly and the atmosphere is relaxed. Each campsite has plenty of space and the stone fire pits are big. Kat is laid back and very nice. We will absolutely come back. Tips: bring your own canopy because there’s not much coverage at the campsites, bring hand soap, either bring your own toilet or be prepared to walk a long way down a slight hill and passed a gate to get to the port-a-potty.

A magical experience. To spend a few days playing with, feeding and watching the antics of a variety of animals was a memory to cherish. The campsite was well organized with a fire ring and table. Instructions were clear. Kat and her husband worked hard to create a “part of the family” feel. We will be back!

The Healing Farm was a lovely switch up from anything we’ve done before. Kat and Jason were very kind, communicative, and cared about everyone there wanting to have a full experience. The campsites were well spread apart from each other, yet you don’t feel like you’re in the middle of nowhere. There were quite a few bees that were interested in joining us for our meals, but it’s also early August so it’s something that can be expected. Getting to interact with all of the animals was so fun, and being accompanied by all of the goats while setting up our tent was different than any other tent set up before! Overall, we had such a great time… and 1000% recommend getting the chocolate goats milk!! It was DELICIOUS!

The farm is such a special place, and I always leave feeling more relaxed than when I arrived. It is such a great place to relax and reconnect with nature. The hosts (Kat & Jason) are so kind and welcoming, and it's obvious that they truly care for their animals. I'm so thankful that they open their space up to share with campers.
This is our second time to the farm and we had another amazing time! We came to celebrate my son's 11th birthday and the boys had such a fun time playing with the animals and running around the forest.
We look forward to coming back again!

We loved engaging with the farm animals. Also loved watching them roam around. Tent site was private and worked out great for us. Hosts were wonderful and we really loved the tour (not to mention the chocolate milk and coffee we opted to indulge in!)

We had a fantastic, wholesome time at the Healing Farm! The animals were so cool and the camping was quiet and felt safe. It was such fun waking up to horses and alpacas and turkeys wandering through camp. The goats were a constant source of entertainment! Kat spends a lot of time educating folks and caring for the animals and it’s quite inspiring. I’d totally stay again!

This is my second stay at the Healing Farm and it just keeps getting better. Kat and Jason are gracious, hard working hosts who make sure you have everything you need.
I chose a secluded camp spot for the weekend. I did interact with other campers while touring the farm and meeting their animals. My first time meeting wallabys, capybaras, and an adorable baby porcupine. I also spent some relaxing time with a couple of the farm cats. Total heaven.
Highly recommend this spot particularly if you have children or an active inner child. I'll definitely be back.

Magical and Unforgettable!

This was our very first Hipcamp stay, and it completely blew us away. We were a bit skeptical at first, but the glowing reviews convinced us to give it a try—and we’re so glad we did. On a road trip from Mount Rainier to Olympic National Park, we made a stop here mainly because our kids (ages 9 and 11) are capybara-obsessed. What we found was so much more than we imagined.
From the moment we arrived, we felt like part of the family. Kat and Jason were the most welcoming hosts, and the connection we felt to the animals was incredibly special—this was nothing like a typical petting zoo. We gathered eggs, milked goats, fed a porcupine and capybaras, cuddled baby bunnies, met a joey in a pouch, hung out with emus, and even snuggled with goats. It was truly immersive and heartwarming.
The campsite itself was private, peaceful, and perfectly set up—complete with a fire pit and a hammock that our son loved.
Leaving was the hardest part (there were definitely tears). My kids are already counting down the days until we can come back. Huge thanks to Kat and Jason for making us feel so welcome and creating memories our family will cherish forever.
Favorite animals: Muriel and Eustace the capybaras, Spice and Selma the goats, Potato the cat, Tilda the porcupine, and Scooter the wallaby!

Kat and Jason were amazing hosts! Super quick response prior to arrival and the quintessential hosts when we got there. We all had a great time from the minute we pulled in as we were surrounded by an entire herd of goats and the llamas just looked on with disinterest. Jason gave us a proper tour of the farm and left us to handle certain animals as we pleased. Our daughter absolutely loved the variety and friendliness of all the animals. The next morning, Kat was ready to greet us and to give a lesson on milking goats.
The farm itself is well laid out. You sleep far enough from the animals so as not to hear them in the middle of the night and Kat and Jason did a great job carving out individual campsites around the property to give the whole place a quaint feel. We wouldn’t hesitate to go back if given the chance. Thank you Kat and Jason!

I almost hate to leave a review because this place is our hidden little gem! First, the hosts are amazing and Kat is out there working her hiney off milking goats and taking care of a ton of animals every single day. The farm was such a great place if you love animals. We could interact with the animals all day and night if we wanted to. I personally loved the maras as they are super cute and soft. Our campsite was way back in their property and very private. There is room for a campfire and it had a picnic table. We woke up in the morning to llamas at our tent door! It was so amazing. We will 100% be back.
