Our river property is situated in a quiet neighborhood, about half a mile down a paved county road. The one-third-acre property is filled with tall evergreen trees that lead to a perfect swimming hole on the Lewis River. Whether you have a camper van, truck setup, or tent, it’s the perfect spot to unwind by the river while still being within 10 minutes of trails and breweries. Swim in the Lewis River. Take a walk along the neighborhood road to a scenic bridge, enjoy a bonfire under the stars, wake up to coffee by the river, or head into town to the local bakery before hitting the trails. We’re a great launching point for adventures near Mount St. Helens and the Columbia River Gorge, or you can keep it local with hikes around Battle Ground Lake, Silver Star Mountain, or Bells Mountain. We fell in love with this area, and we think you will too.River Camp is located in a neighborhood on the Lewis River, perfect for swimming and fishing. Guests will enjoy the entire 1/3 of an acre property to themselves, but please note that neighborhood homes are visible when camping. Tent Sauna: UPDATE: Due to the current Clark County fire restrictions, we are unable to use this as of August 7. We're currently working on trying to figure out a propane option for the near future. River: River may be used for swimming and/or fishing (follow fishing regulations). The swimming hole may be shared by neighbors and a nearby camp using it on the other side. Firepit: Due to the current Clark County fire restrictions, we are unable to use this as of August 7. However, we put a propane firepit in its place so you can still enjoy the ambiance of a campfire. Although Cole Witter road is a quiet neighborhood road, the road across from the river is a busy main road, so some road noise can be heard from the property. Please note: The tent pictured in our photos is the tent sauna, not a sleeping tent. However, we do have an optional 4-person Gazelle tent if you would like to use it for sleeping. We would be happy to set it up if you let us know ahead of time.

River Camp
Hello, I would like to share that we had a delightful time at River Camp. The accommodations are thoughtfully prepared for the campers to get the most out of their stay. We enjoyed the peaceful atmosphere and especially being along the river! We would definitely make reservations again to stay at River Camp and we would highly recommend this unique campsite to others as well! :)

Perfect swimming hole and sauna

River Camp
We enjoyed this magical site by the river and didn’t want to leave! They’ve clearly put a lot of thought and work into preparing the property and it was one of our favorite hipcamps ever. Being close to a relatively large town was handy when we realized we had forgotten something and also when we wanted to have food delivered- haha. The neighborhood was especially peaceful at night and in the mornings. We look forward to camping there again!
