Enjoy a private stay shaded by beautiful fir and maple trees. Surrounded by wildlife including owls, eagles, hawks, cranes and other singing birds. Walk past our chickens to a quiet country road and see goats, horses and cows. Less than ten minute drive from three different lakes (square, horseshoe and long lake), Downtown Port Orchard, and other parks / trails (Jackson Lund, McCormick woods, and banner forest heritage park). Park in our large level (15x9ft) gravel parking spot suitable for a trailer or RV. Setup a tent on a level soft sand pad (15ftx10ft). Enjoy a large fire pit and long picnic table. There is also a private locking Rustic outhouse with a composting toilet stocked with TP, wood pellets and hand sanitizer. No other utilities. Extra parking available for a second vehicle.Purple Homestead campsite is on the opposite end of our property about 200-300 ft from our house and the trees / dead hedge provide nice screening from our house and our neighbors. You might see us in our organic garden. Feel free to say hi if we are outside otherwise enjoy your stay and we will give you space.

Hidden gem

Purple Homestead Campsite

This is a hidden bargain in a well kept spot. You are fifteen minutes to Bremerton ferry to Seattle. Skip the the drive to Seattle and traffic and sleep well in your own traveling bedroom. Host were soooo nice.

Purple Homestead Campsite

This is a sweet private camping area with excellent level spots for your car & tent. The big study picnic table is a great place to make meals & play games! The composting toilet was clean and just the right distance from the camping area! Our hosts left us a lovely basket of farm goodies that really elevated our mac & cheese to the next level! We really appreciated our two nights here and the proximity to Tacoma & Seattle by ferry. Thank you!
