The positives first. It was cheap. The blackberries on the side of the road were a nice addition to our breakfast. It was a good location for our trip around the peninsula. The trees were beautiful and there were several eagles flying around overhead. We were only ones here for our one night. The negatives. The toilet was full to the top. You have to carry your things down to camp site. We didn’t want to risk getting truck caught in mud. Tent sites are very close together. Lots of road noise from the highway and the apartments.
Like others have said potential is here, still a work in progress.

Looks like work is being done to create more spaces as there was equipment out and gravel laid it not yet compacted down. The toilet was tricky so pay attention. By morning it was backup up to the top! There was another camper family there so not sure what happened. We decided to go to breakfast and use the bathroom there instead. The locked gate did make us feel secure and the property is nice. It is located right next to some low income apartments so there were young kids yelling out random things at us, but that no fault to the owner of the property. We just ignored them and it stopped.

My wife and I booked this site last minute for one night without reading the previous reviews which was my mistake.
When we arrived to the sites there was no clear signage showing where the camping sites were located. We had to search for the numbers and later found small site numbers on the ground. The sites were within a few feet of each other and the listings didn’t show this. It would’ve been nice if there was a map included indicating where the cites were.
The sites are within a couple feet of the main road, behind an apartment complex and could use a little more privacy and security.
There were no instructions for using the toilet. A porta potty might work better for the future. There was an excavator in the parking area and we weren’t sure where to park.
We contacted the host via phone, message and through the Hipcamp app without success to see if we can switch sites. The host did not respond until the following day. We ultimately decided not to stay here and we ended up driving back home. The site has good potential but we did not feel that it was quite ready.

The address does not actually lead to the hip camp location. The only reason we found the place was a kind neighbor directing us to the correct location. There are no instructions about getting there. The sites were also pretty muddy and could be labeled better. There is "one gallon of potable water per site" but it was just mysterious refilled gallon jugs. Most were not full gallons.

Address took us to the wrong property at the end of the road. If you cross the bridge, you went too far. It is the black gate on the right just past the apartments
