Noisy, Unkept, Dangerous Location
There is nobody local that can assist with issues. Over 1/2 of the sites aren’t numbered & there is serious over growth happening.
1st night there was a couple there who was as equally confused as we were. They ended up at a neighbors property who told them “this happens every day”. I feel so bad for the neighbor. Do NOT go to the mark on the HipCamp map, that is not the camping location.
If you are trying to find the campsites, the black gate is directly after the apartment complex. Do not continue down the road.
This spot is 700ft from a very noisy loud apartment complex. At all hours of the night there is loud music, people shouting and on our final night there was a dog barking/whining for hours. We heard a man screaming at the dog and then a clear gunshot and the dog stopped.
There was broken glass & garbage in the sites from previous occupants. On the 2nd night there was a 3rd group that arrived that was on the phone with Earl & they told me he refused to help them with questions because he told them he lived 5 hours away.
I showed them how to use the gate, how to use the bathroom, where the chairs were, and they stated they rented campsite 7, but there was not a number 7 marked.
I am not sure where the disconnect is but when I called Earl he said “I am not sure who has booked, or how many have booked but I’m sure you can all figure it out.”
Only 2 sites have campfire spots.
Some positives, the 24/7 Market up the street and cell reception at the campsites.
