This campground offers a spacious and private setting, nestled near a river with stunning views of Mt. Rainier. Campers appreciate the easy access to both the river and the national park, making it a convenient base for exploration. While road noise is present, the beauty and tranquility of the site overshadow this minor drawback. Visitors consistently praise the accommodating host and the ample space for large groups.

An amazing and spacious lot. Short walk to the river and beautiful views. Will be back.
This was our second stay. The last visit we explored the area which is beautiful. Mt. Rainier is spectacular and has lots of opportunities to enjoy the outdoors. This time we went for 5 days and with friends (and our dogs) and we did not leave the property. It was easy. We had everything we needed (this place is the well stocked to cook meals). The cabin is welcoming with thoughtful touches through out. We aimed for relaxing, and quality time hanging out. The beds are very comfortable with nice linen. They also have books, games for inside and out. There is a covered outdoor space, with fire pit, plenty of seating and lovely lights.
This is an excellent place for a family gathering. Perhaps that is what we will do next time.
This is a special place.

Quiet and Private Boondocking Spot

Large, quiet place to stay with quick access to Mt Rainier entrance. A bit of a twisty, gravel descent to get to the spot, which is indicated on Scott's info.

5* hipcamp ... We had it all! Natural beauty, close to Rainier, privacy, Nisqually River within walking distance, cell service, and close to a grocery store if needed! Scott (Host) is the absolute greatest! We had a couple of issues and he went above and beyond to help us ... "Thank you Scott, you're the best!". The Campsite can accommodate our entire family which consists of over 20 family members. Bring your own porta-potty (no problem), bring your own propane fire pit (no problem during restricted fire ban), also trash and recycle cans were provided. Our dog loved patrolling the grounds unleashed... He was in his glory (FYI be sure to pick up after your furry pal) ... In closing all I have to say is "Just book it!"
We absolutely loved Scott’s camp spot. Very private, wide open and with a peek-a-boo view of the mountain. Short walk down to the river and you can hear it but not see it from the campsite. Located in the midst of a gorgeous old growth forest.
We had plenty of room for our 36’ trailer and two vehicle but it is definitely a tight fit between the trees up the drive and we had to put it in four wheel to get out of the steepest section of driveway.
Our only criticism is that the road noise is very apparent and loud in the campsite. Nothing can be done for that because the road runs very close to the property. Just an fyi for other campers that you can absolutely hear cars along the busy road.

We had a fantastic stay! Finding the property was simple with clear, easy-to-follow instructions. We had three trailers in our group and navigating in was surprisingly smooth and easy. The area itself was very peaceful, and having direct, easy access to both the park and the river made it a perfect spot.

The campsite was level :) and beautiful! Our stay was very peaceful. The trails to the river were fun to walk & the river was really nice - running in some areas and dry in others. Mt Rainier hid behind the clouds our first day and early the next morning but popped out with a stunning view before we left :) We are looking forward to our next stay here :)

Private spot. Great communication from the host. If you have friends/family who don't have a trailer encourage them to book the cabin on the property. That worked great for our situation. Great location for getting into Mt. Rainer national Park as well.

We had a fantastic time at Scott's camping location! Very private and quiet setting. We have a 35ft 5th wheel and was able to navigate down to the property but is a steep roadway.
River was just a short walk away and refreshing to take a dip. I would recommend staying here to anyone.

Boondocking and snowshoeing.

Group camping Mt Rainier Reconnect
Great, open campsite. My kids loved playing along the river bed and dipping their feet in the water. Easy access to Mt. Rainier where we had a blast snowshoeing. Fire pit is great. Lots of room at the site where we played some soccer and frisbee. Not a fault of the hosts, but only issue was our camper ran out of power and by the third day we were freezing. Overall, it was an outstanding boondocking experience.
Rainier Reconnect was wonderful. The property is secluded, great views of the mountain and access to the river. We loved it.

Group camping Mt Rainier Reconnect
Second time visiting and totally recommend, again. It’s very private and peaceful, plenty of space of all kinds of rigs, the road down to the sight easily accessible in my Sprinter. Perfect for dogs as there is plenty of room for activities. It’s been fairly rainy and the ground in some spots were soft but that’s to be expected this time of year.
There are some road sounds to be heard, mainly only louder vehicles (it’s not a heavily trafficked road) but they can’t be seen from the sight. Non issue (for me) but worth mentioning.
Very easy to find with the very clear instructions. Thanks again, Scott.
Super private. Totally secluded.

Cabin at Mt Rainier Reconnect
This cabin is peaceful. It had everything we needed for comfort. It is maintained with thoughtfulness. The cabin is clean and stocked with supplies making it easy to care for while there. The weather was very cold (26 to 38 degrees) as expected and we stayed toasty,
The roads are well maintained and the mountain spectacular.
We will come back when we can spend more time outside enjoying the grounds and exploring.
This was a fabulous place to retreat and spend time with friends.
Our dog was so happy, she is part husky and was in her element outside. She loved it. We all did.

Beautiful, well thought out, and clean space that had everything one needs to create beautiful memories with friends and families. The whole property is gorgeous with stunning views. The fire pit was so lovely especially on a rainy day, and so nice to have items provided for smores as well. Loads of cards and board games. Would stay here again and recommend 10/10!
