Marq Manor is a nearly 4-acre forested property just outside Olympia where we've carved out a few quiet spots for travelers who want to get off the beaten path without losing access to a great city. The property is deep Pacific Northwest — tall evergreens, big-leaf maples, native ferns, and rhododendrons in bloom. More birds than you'd expect this close to town, including our resident 🦉 barred owl who makes an appearance most evenings. The deer wander through on their own schedule. You'll likely be greeted by our animal family — the cats who roam on their own terms, Tiny our old dog who enjoys a leisurely wander outside on nice days, and 🐾 Adonis, our very energetic Doberman puppy who takes his property greeting duties very seriously. Don't let the breed fool you — once you're a guest here you're automatically his new best friend and favorite playmate. 🔥 Evenings tend to gather around the communal fire pit naturally. It's that kind of place. We're dry camping here — self-contained rigs only, no sewer hookups. We keep it simple, honest, and well-kept. Olympia is genuinely worth exploring: 🥕 Olympia Farmers Market — local produce, food, and handmade goods 🚶 Percival Landing and Tumwater River walk 🦅 Nisqually Wildlife Refuge — birding, boardwalks, and wildlife 🌲 Capitol State Forest — trails for hiking and biking 🚤 Puget Sound — kayaking and water adventures We're laid back hosts who want you to enjoy yourselves and leave the place better than you found it.

Tent Site: Choose Your Own 001

Tent site · Sleeps 4
Welcome to your own Choose Your Own Adventure camping experience at Marq Manor. 🏕️ When you arrive we'll walk the property with you and let you pick the spot that feels right — because no two campers are the same and neither are our spots. The property has a mix of open clearings and more sheltered areas under the trees, with native ferns, rhododendrons, and a seasonal creek winding through. Some spots have a wood chip base laid down for comfort and drainage, others are more natural and tucked away — you pick what suits you. Either way you'll wake up to birdsong, the occasional deer wandering through, and our resident 🦉 barred owl making his presence known at dusk. 🪵 We're also happy to welcome the more adventurous type — we've even had guests use natural materials from the property to build their own shelter survivalist style. If that's your thing, just ask us when you book. This is primitive camping in the truest sense — come fully self-sufficient and ready to unplug and enjoy the quiet. 🔥 No individual fires at your tent site — campfires are at our designated communal fire pit only.

RV Site: Semi-private [up to 32ft]

Vehicle site · Sleeps 4 · Vehicles under 32 ft
This is your own quiet corner of Marq Manor — a semi-private gravel back-in site tucked away from the rest of the property with no neighboring campers alongside you. Naturally screened by towering Pacific Northwest evergreens, big-leaf maples, and lush native ferns, it feels like your own private piece of the forest. The site sits closer to our home than the other spots on the property, which means you've got hosts nearby if you need anything — but you won't feel it. The natural landscaping and mature trees give you plenty of breathing room and privacy while keeping that comfortable feeling of not being completely on your own out there. 🐾 One thing worth mentioning — Adonis, our Doberman puppy, lives here and may cross your path if you're near the house or happen to catch him on one of his walks. He's trained, he's well behaved, and he'll be with one of us — but if you stop to say hello he will make it very clear that he is absolutely delighted to meet you. Affectionate and energetic are the two words that come to mind. If dogs aren't your thing just let us know and we'll make sure to keep some distance. The gravel pad accommodates self-contained rigs up to 32ft with back-in access. The ground is not level so come prepared with leveling blocks or jacks. Dry camping — no sewer hookup. Wake up to birdsong, watch the light filter through the tree canopy, and keep an eye out for the deer that wander through on their own schedule. Evenings are genuinely quiet out here.
