Beautiful getaway on a perfectly-located property only minutes to all the best that Hood Canal and the Olympic Peninsula have to offer! Gated entry to 6 private acres on a bluff above the water. Campsites are in a quiet and secluded back corner of the property bordered by state park forest on one side and protected conservation forestland on the other. Minutes away from beaches, several state parks, waterfalls and rivers with amazing swimming holes, the Olympic National Forest, Hama Hama, Pleasant Harbor Marina, and more. Hosted by a long-time local resident who is happy to help with tips, suggestions and anything you need to make your adventure amazing. Ask about our private chartered boat tours and crabbing afternoons! Complete privacy in large, flat, graveled campsites with water and 30-amp electricity at each. Private pathways to central toilet only 20 yards away. Parking for small to medium sized cars along with a tent in the campsites, or make room for two large tents by parking vehicles and walking in (only 30-40 yards). Sites can fit small campers like Sprinter vans or the like, and even small trailers in two.

Hemlock Hollow is a secluded private campsite tucked beneath towering evergreens on peaceful forest acreage above Hood Canal along Highway 101. Surrounded by dense Pacific Northwest woodland, the site offers a quieter and more immersive camping experience designed for guests seeking privacy, calm, and a deeper connection to the forest. Tall hemlocks and cedars, moss-covered forest groundcover, filtered light through the canopy, and the sounds of the surrounding woods create a peaceful rainforest atmosphere that feels authentically Pacific Northwest. The campsite features a spacious flat gravel pad suitable for tents, rooftop tents, campervans, and small trailers while still maintaining a natural and tucked-away feel beneath the trees. Guests have access to 30-amp power, a standard electrical outlet, fresh water, and a private fire pit for relaxed evenings in the forest. Firewood bundles are available onsite, or guests are welcome to bring their own seasoned firewood. A short forest trail connects the site to a shared camp utility area with restroom access and waste disposal while still preserving the secluded feel of the campsite itself. Escape to our amazing Pacific Northwest getaway! Enjoy breathtaking Hood Canal views - from the comfy Adirondack chairs by the fire pit, or the big hammock strung between Madrone trees at the bluff, and right out of your RV, tent, or van’s windows. This site is HUGE - a standard reservation is for two tents up to 4 people, but this site can accommodate up to 5 tents or 10 people. You may set up tents or park campervans, small trailers, or vehicles with rooftop tents. There is a brand new portable toilet on the property - about 100 yards away. PLEASE NOTE: The local elk herd passes through our property on a regular basis and has even calved here multiple times. Please stay safe and give them wide berth - DO NOT APPROACH THEM. If you see them on the property keep dogs inside your vehicle if possible. Elk are very large animals and will likely not be scared of you - they have walked right past me while I was running a chainsaw, with no worry about my presence. But they can be dangerous if they feel threatened, especially if they have young calves.

3: Alder Stand Camp
The campsite was fine. Beautiful forest, stars were amazing. Porta potty not too far away, and clean. On Friday night some people showed up and let a bunch of dogs run free through the woods and other campsites, which was stressful, but eventually they calmed down or got leashed or something. We had an issue with the reservation of a family member who had reserved a different site, and while Tom ultimately did refund them, he wasn’t very apologetic or helpful about it. We all had to change plans and deal with some unexpected issues as a result, but it was manageable. Mosquitos are very bad, especially afternoon/ evening. We used DEET and two mosquito repeller devices, and they still were buzzing around us.

Peaceful setting, clean porta potty, easy peazy. The 3 spots in the woods are small and close together but densely wooded, so they feel private enough. If I return I’ll book the more expensive spot with the big view, which we got to enjoy for a while before the other campers arrived.

We stayed at #4, the overlook site, and oh boy. It was a beautiful view, there was so much room, and it was so quiet and private. The water access and electricity were decadent perks. I think our days of cheek-by-jowl campsites filled with RVs are over, forever spoiled by this perfect experience here. Thanks, Tom, for making this campsite and sharing it.

Hood Canal Acres was a stunning property! The forest spots are adorable tucked away easy to access little forest camp spots with a port-a-poty within less than a minute walk. I was able to stay at the overlook spot that had epic views of the river and beautiful sunrise and sunsets. The spot was quiet however if you're looking for full nature immersion pick one of the forested areas as you can still hear a bit of the highway hum at the Bluff overlook spot. But is well worth it for all the views. The chairs, swing, campfire pit provided made everything super easy and smooth. The area was graded well so I could put up my tent very easily and was cozy enough I didn't need my camping pad for sleeping. The coyote's were howling through the sunset which was pretty rad. And I think if there wasn't cloud cover I could have seen more stars, but the moon was out! Tom was easy to reach when I needed anything. The site was very tidy and kept up well. Near by is a beautiful waterfall hike you can access as of this date in the evenings and weekends only. Such a great place to stay! Thank you, Tom!

4: The Overlook
My partner and I LOVED the airstream. It was a perfect glamping setup. The airstream was stocked with so many amenities and it felt like we were staying in a nice hotel honestly but with the benefits of camping like the gorgeous view and campfire. Just best of both worlds. We have a reactive doggo and this property was perfect for her- so much space for her to sniff around and so secluded we never ran into anyone and she was able to sit and smell the flowers. The hosts were not kidding when they describe the airstream cooling / heating system. It cooled and heated better and quicker than my own home! The fire pit is super nice and modern- we enjoyed nice and controlled fires at night while basking in the stars. The whole campsite is a 10 out of 10 -we had nothing but a great weekend surrounded by incredible scenery. I will be coming back and telling everyone about this!!

We stayed in site 2 for one night in our campervan with two dogs to and from our trip to the Oregon Coast. The site seemed a bit smaller than I expected. There is privacy between sites, very clean and quiet. I think for our purposes as a rest point between other destinations, it worked out great!

We had a great time at Tom's camp. The drive up can be difficult for 2wd or low slung vehicles. It is nicely secluded and wooded. The mosquitos were very plentiful when we got there. So have your spray and candles ready. Water and electric hookups were very appreciated as was the nice clean porta potty not too far from camp. Very close to the most spectacular waterfall and some great places to eat near by. Note, the ground is a bit rocky and compacted so it can be rough on tent spikes.

Such a beautiful place to stay and tom is very helpful, we had car problems and we were going to have to have our car towed 80 miles back home but tom helped us get our car started and saved me about $800 in towing costs, thankfully we made it home ok, the campsites are beautiful and minus the car trouble it was a very pleasant stay, thanks tom

We appreciated the sparkling clean sani can, the nice fire pit, water and electricity. There was enough space and woods between campsites to still feel private. A picnic table in each site and a viewpoint to walk to that doesn’t encroach on the airstream rental would be nice additions.

This is such a beautiful spot. The spots are very private and well maintained The fire pits are actually solo stoves, way better than a traditional fire pit. It rained while we were there but the gravel at the site and established trails made it so our dogs were but not muddy. Tom was very communicative and made sure we were well informed. We will definitely be back and would recommend this to anyone looking in this area. Bonus is that’s it’s not far from Hamma Hamma oysters which is a great place if you haven’t been.

Tom’s land was serene, beautiful & we were visited by one of the resident owls. 🦉 Provided a clean out house and having water at the campsite was so helpful! It was a beautiful view from the blast as well. Tom was communicative and helpful and we really enjoyed our stay! Highly recommend!
