The Elma RV Park stands out as a unique destination due to its rich history and scenic surroundings, originally established in the 1970s to accommodate workers constructing the Satsop Nuclear Plant. Although the plant never opened, its iconic cooling towers remain a striking feature of the landscape, now part of the expansive 1,700-acre Satsop Business Park, which hosts several thriving businesses. In 1991, Julie Bowen purchased the Elma RV Park and has since dedicated over two decades to enhancing its charm and appeal. With her husband Johnny, who has been a supportive partner for the past eight years, Julie has overseen numerous improvements that have been warmly received by visitors. Guests can enjoy the vibrant flowers and lush trees that have been thoughtfully planted throughout the park, creating a welcoming atmosphere. Although Julie resides out of town, she remains actively involved in the park's operations and makes frequent visits to ensure everything runs smoothly. The Elma RV Park not only offers a peaceful retreat but also serves as a gateway to nearby attractions, including natural features, swimming holes, and a variety of outdoor activities. Visitors can explore local restaurants and shops, making it an ideal spot for both relaxation and adventure.
