Our private Campground is centrally located on the Olympic Peninsula. We are a Campground, we are not a Hip Camp, we just advertise through them. Paying for extra days or rentals, wood, propane fire-pits, are done at pay station at Campground or by calling the office. We have 21 tent sites on the West side of Pavel Road close to the river. 13 are river view sites. We have 15 tent sites and most are bigger tent sites, ones that are big enough for a RV on the East side of Pavel Road, Use our website dawleysrivercamping.com for details. We have beautiful woods with trees, ferns, moss, and the Sol Duc River runs adjacent to our property. Beautiful views of the Sol Duc River from some of the sites and a short walk to the right of the parking lot to the Fish Hatchery, stay to the right there will be a boat launch and beach to fish and play. Just a 20-minute drive to the Pacific Ocean and a 20-minute drive to the straits of Juan de Fuca. Just a one-hour drive from our site to Cape Flattery, short hike down to a rocky viewpoint overlooking the Pacific Ocean and Tatoosh Island, which is the farthest NW Point in the Continental US! We have sites with beautiful river views, 9 walk-in sites, and 12 drive-up sites. 4 of the walk-in sites are river views 4, 5, 6 and 8. The drive-in sites with river views are 10, 11, 12, 13, 17, 18, 20, and 21. There are more sites on the other part of the Campground. The Fish Hatchery is right next door and has a boat launch, beach, and lots of fishing. The river at the Hatchery is great to float on, fish, and just play. Activities nearby include: Pacific Ocean beaches, Pleasant Lake, Crescent Lake, Beaver Lake, Snyder Lookout for stargazing, Olympic Discovery Trail, kayak floating, the area is great for hiking, biking, mushroom and fossil hunting, wildlife viewing, ATV trails, and much, much more, come have some fun.

Site 4 is a walk in River View site about 150 feet from parking lot, path to site 4 is left of the pay station. large campsite holds a 3-room tent or a couple smaller tents. Campsite 4 and 5 is great for groups. Picnic table, sun umbrella in the summer months, and fire pit with state-of-the-art grill, bottom is a griddle, middle is a charcoal box, top is a grill. Grill also works great with a propane fire pit. Don’t forget tinfoil for cooking, and there is a wagon by the pay station to help haul all your stuff into the site. Site 10 was a walk-in site and we had made it bigger and made it a drive-in site so the drive-in area for site 10 and 11 are close together. We put the drive in spot for site 10 where the log is in the picture beside 11 and if you have questions, please ask me both sites are wonderful and have plenty of decor in between for blockage. River View sites are a 2 day minimum on weekends, Friday-Saturday or Saturday-Sunday.

Campsite 15 Drive up site, when you come down Pavel Road you will come to the campground parking lot, turn right go in just a little bit turn right down the spur road and site 15 is on your right hand side. You go down the path that’s right next to the pay station, when you start in the path for 6, over to the right will hold a 2-room tent, place by the picnic table, Holds a 9x9 tent. New spot made for a tent on the left if you're looking at the river. It will hold a 6-person tent. Site 14 is a drive-in campsite, it is the first campsite when you turn into the parking lot, it will be on your right-hand side before the gravel spur road. We redid the campsite so when you pull into it, there is a big opening just ahead of your vehicle for a big tent, you can pull clear up into it and it’s more level for a camper van or something similar, The right hand side of the campsite is the picnic table, sun umbrella for summer months, fire pit and state of the art grill, bottom is the griddle, middle is a charcoal box, and top is a grill, Grill also works with a propane fire pit. Don’t forget tinfoil for cooking. This site is closer walk to the porta potties/Sani Cans.

Site 19 is a drive up tiny River View site, this is a Secluded site great for little tiny kids. It is on the side of the river, you can walk up by the tree and look at the river but there isn’t a way to make it a good Riverview site. You will go to sleep at night with the sound of the river and the site is very cozy. On the left-hand side of the campsite, there is a area for a tent probably holds 10’ x 10’ tent, inside the site on the right hand side. There is a tent area that probably holds a 9 x 9 tent. This site will hold a camper van. Has a picnic table, sun umbrella for summer months, fire pit with state of the art Grill, bottom is a griddle, middle is a charcoal box, top is a grill, you can also use the grill with a propane fire pit. This is a beautiful campsite, trees, ferns, this site is a big campsite, it is at the end of the road. Secluded, you walk back out to Pavel Road and take a left. Walk a little ways and keep to your right and you will come a boat launch and beach. The Fish hatchery is public and very fun to go check out. There is 4 sani cans when you turn to go down road to Salmon Run. When you are in your site walk past site Salmon Run 3, go to the right and in the clearing there will be 4 Sani Cans, firewood shed and dishwashing station. Just past that is another pay station.

You walk back out to Pavel Road and take a left, keep walking past the end of the Campground and stay to the right and you will come to a boat launch and beach. This is the Fish Hatchery, and it is all public, on the left side is fish pens and a interpretive center.

Great camp…if nobody else is around you. Better separation from other sites would make this camp amazing . Maybe the river sites are closer than the others but I could see issues on a busy summer day with your neighbor right on top of you. Maybe remove like one site and expand the others. Great value . Why such good cell service, a nice surprise! Over all I would be back . Thanks for having me .

This campsite is so cool! You are immersed in trees! Private sites with lots of space, clean porta potties and handwashing stations. Unfortunately, I had to cut my trip short because I got covid. It would have been a great place to isolate if I was more prepared. Highly recommend Rachel’s campground!

I went in the off season so it was really quiet, Which I really appreciated. I was the only one in my whole wing of the campground . They had good signage to find the rv site I got. I love that they have RV sites that don’t have full hookups. Will definitely be back!

Beautiful spot! The campground is clean and well thought out. Lots of special touches. Site 6 is huge and I was told by other campers that it is the best site. We explored the hatchery and rode our bikes on the Olympic Discovery Trail which connects right up the road.

it was really nice having the dishwashing station near the porta potties, so we could wash our hands instead of using hand sanitizer! the river spot that we had access too wasn’t quite deep enough to go swimming in, but that could be because it’s very late summer. overall we really enjoyed this campground and wouldn’t mind coming back!

I've never raved about porta potties but I have to here! I HATE and avoid them like the plague but I actually enjoyed using these ones! They were the cleanest I've ever seen, absolutely NO smell, included a mini trashcan for feminine products, and even had extra toilet paper! The site and camping loop was as described, nice, and very clean. Owner was very respectful and responsive, and our loop had a lot of helpful info not mentioned in the listing. 10/10 would come back again.

The campsite was one of the newer ones. This meant it was not yet an “established” site. More work is needed to make it feel completed. Porta pottys were very clean and the sink was well placed.

Dawley’s was a perfect camp to stay while exploring the western side of the Olympic Peninsula. It’s close to Forks, Strait of Juan de Fuca, Macah museum and ocean beaches. My campsite was private, surrounded by trees, and within close walking distance to very clean porta-potties and a dish/handwashing station. My pup and I walked to the river and the fish hatchery.

Hideaway #1 - Drive Up Site

We stayed here in a pinch on our way into the Olympic. Sure glad we did. we were in the Hideaway section. The whole place is sprawling, nice elevation differences and we couldn't see the campers near us. (4) Clean porta potties - dumpster available. Rapid responsive host. So good. After two nights we went to Mora camp ground a half hour away. One night there was enough and we were back again !

We absolutely loved camping at Dawley’s! It’s such a beautiful piece of land. We reserved site #5, right on the river for two nights and found it to be such a quiet, relaxing experience. The trees were tall and mossy and the river was clean and refreshing, and provided a lovely soundtrack for sleeping. It was like camping in a fairy land. The port-a-potties were clean the entire weekend, and the dishwashing station was a nice perk! I would definitely come back, and hopefully spend even more time at this little slice of heaven.

We stayed in site 13 and enjoyed our 3 nights at Rachel’s, Dawley’s Sol-Duc River campground . Our site had a nice amount of room, with a good fire ring and a really good picnic table with umbrella. Bathrooms were 5 porta potties and were the cleanest ones I’ve ever seen! No potable water, so bring your own. No road noise, just the sound of the nearby River to sleep by. Sites were spaced enough apart that it felt fairly private. All in all we were quite satisfied with this campground and the nice hosts. I would recommend it and would definitely camp there again.
