Our private Campground is centrally located on the Olympic Peninsula. We are a Campground, we are not a Hip Camp, we just advertise through them. Paying for extra days or rentals, wood, propane fire-pits, are done at pay station at Campground or by calling the office. We have 21 tent sites on the West side of Pavel Road close to the river. 13 are river view sites. We have 15 tent sites and most are bigger tent sites, ones that are big enough for a RV on the East side of Pavel Road, Use our website [xxxxxxxx] for details. We have beautiful woods with trees, ferns, moss, and the Sol Duc River runs adjacent to our property. Beautiful views of the Sol Duc River from some of the sites and a short walk to the right of the parking lot to the Fish Hatchery, stay to the right there will be a boat launch and beach to fish and play. Just a 20-minute drive to the Pacific Ocean and a 20-minute drive to the straits of Juan de Fuca. Just a one-hour drive from our site to Cape Flattery, short hike down to a rocky viewpoint overlooking the Pacific Ocean and Tatoosh Island, which is the farthest NW Point in the Continental US! We have sites with beautiful river views, 9 walk-in sites, and 12 drive-up sites. 4 of the walk-in sites are river views 4, 5, 6 and 8. The drive-in sites with river views are 10, 11, 12, 13, 17, 18, 20, and 21. There are more sites on the other part of the Campground. The Fish Hatchery is right next door and has a boat launch, beach, and lots of fishing. The river at the Hatchery is great to float on, fish, and just play. Activities nearby include: Pacific Ocean beaches, Pleasant Lake, Crescent Lake, Beaver Lake, Snyder Lookout for stargazing, Olympic Discovery Trail, kayak floating, the area is great for hiking, biking, mushroom and fossil hunting, wildlife viewing, ATV trails, and much, much more, come have some fun.

Site 10 is a drive up River View site, it started out a walk-in site and we made it larger and a Riverview site, so the parking spot comes in right next to site 11. Site is large and can hold a pretty good size tent. Will fit a Camper Van. Has a picnic table, sun umbrella in the summer months, fire pit with state of the art grill. Bottom is a griddle, middle is a charcoal box, top is a grill, Grill spins around and can be used with a propane fire pit also. Don’t forget your tinfoil for cooking. Site 4 is a walk in River View site about 150 feet from parking lot, path to site 4 is left of the pay station. large campsite holds a 3-room tent or a couple smaller tents. Campsite 4 and 5 is great for groups. Picnic table, sun umbrella in the summer months, and fire pit with state-of-the-art grill, bottom is a griddle, middle is a charcoal box, top is a grill. Grill also works great with a propane fire pit. Don’t forget tinfoil for cooking, and there is a wagon by the pay station to help haul all your stuff into the site. With in a 1/2 hour of setting up go the pay station and do paperwork, sign, print, put site # down and put in payment box. Thank you Riverview sites are a two-day minimum on weekends.

11 drive up River view site, will hold a 12x12 tent or 2 smaller tents, Picnic table, sun umbrella in Summer months, fire pit was state of the art grill, griddle on bottom, charcoal box in the middle and the grill on top. Site 10 was a walk-in site and we had made it bigger and made it a drive-in site so the drive-in area for site 10 and 11 are close together. We put the drive in spot for site 10 where the log is in the picture beside 11 and if you have questions, please ask me both sites are wonderful and have plenty of decor in between for blockage. River View sites are a 2 day minimum on weekends, Friday-Saturday or Saturday-Sunday.

Campsite 15 Drive up site, when you come down Pavel Road you will come to the campground parking lot, turn right go in just a little bit turn right down the spur road and site 15 is on your right hand side. Campsite holds a 12 x 12 tent and is a little more secluded. Site 6 is a walk-in, River View site. It’s around 80 feet from the parking lot and more secluded. You go down the path that’s right next to the pay station, when you start in the path for 6, over to the right will hold a 2-room tent, place by the picnic table, Holds a 9x9 tent. New spot made for a tent on the left if you're looking at the river. It will hold a 6-person tent. Has a picnic table, sun umbrella in the summer months, and fire pit with state-of-the-art grill, bottom is a griddle, middle is a charcoal box, top is a grill, grill can also be used with a propane fire pit. Don’t forget your tinfoil for cooking, Bank is high off the water, so need to be careful with small children, bank drops off to the water in this site. Site 18 is a drive up River View site, with a couple different places for your tent or tents. No parking on the other side of the tent only sign, please. You walk down the steps that go down to a drop-down platform that holds the picnic table, sun umbrella in the summer months, fire pit, and state of the art Grill. Griddle is on the bottom, middle is a charcoal box and top is the grill, don’t forget your tinfoil for cooking. 8 is a Walk in River View site, you can access site eight from the path left of the pay station , also when you get to the campground you turn into the parking lot to the right, you’ll go clear to the end of the parking lot, and on the left-hand side there is a designated parking spot for site 8. You can unload your things and take them past the big stump and big boulder right into your site. Holds 12 x 12 tent and a 6-man tent. Picnic table, sun umbrella in the summer months, and fire pit with state-of-the-art grill. bottom is a griddle, middle is a charcoal box, top is a grill. Site 14 is a drive-in campsite, it is the first campsite when you turn into the parking lot, it will be on your right-hand side before the gravel spur road. We redid the campsite so when you pull into it, there is a big opening just ahead of your vehicle for a big tent, you can pull clear up into it and it’s more level for a camper van or something similar, The right hand side of the campsite is the picnic table, sun umbrella for summer months, fire pit and state of the art grill, bottom is the griddle, middle is a charcoal box, and top is a grill, Grill also works with a propane fire pit. Don’t forget tinfoil for cooking. This site is closer walk to the porta potties/Sani Cans.

Site 19 is a drive up tiny River View site, this is a Secluded site great for little tiny kids. It is on the side of the river, you can walk up by the tree and look at the river but there isn’t a way to make it a good Riverview site. You will go to sleep at night with the sound of the river and the site is very cozy. On the left-hand side of the campsite, there is a area for a tent probably holds 10’ x 10’ tent, inside the site on the right hand side. There is a tent area that probably holds a 9 x 9 tent. This site will hold a camper van. Has a picnic table, sun umbrella for summer months, fire pit with state of the art Grill, bottom is a griddle, middle is a charcoal box, top is a grill, you can also use the grill with a propane fire pit. This is a beautiful campsite, trees, ferns, this site is a big campsite, secluded, it is at the end of the road. This is a DEAD END road that goes to Salmon Run 1 and 2. Site 2 takes up the whole area. Cars don't drive through your campsite. Way to water, you walk back out to Pavel Road and take a left. Walk a little ways and keep to your right and you will come to a boat launch and beach. The Fish hatchery is public and very fun to go check out. There is 4 sani cans when you turn to go down road to Salmon Run. When you are in your site walk past site Salmon Run 3, go to the right and in the clearing there will be 4 Sani Cans, woodshed and dishwashing station. Just past that is another pay station.

This is a beautiful woodsy sight, with lots of room for 2 huge tents or RV, a couple Camper Vans, there are only 4 sites in this area, and this is a huge campsite. You walk back out to Pavel Road and take a left, keep walking past the end of the Campground and stay to the right and you will come to a boat launch and beach. This is the Fish Hatchery, and it is all public, on the left side is fish pens and a interpretive center.

Didn't disappoint!

Eagles Nest

Directions were good. Once there it took a few minutes to find our site. Not very big but adequate and the picnic table and umbrella was a nice touch as were to whimsical touches here and there. Everything was clean that we could see but it was raining and we were self contained so we didn't use anything. Met and chatted with the owner and she was very nice. Walking our dog we checked out some of the empty sites and there's some really nice spots and bigger than what we had chosen. All sites had privacy but Eagles nest does face the port o potties and common area. It was pretty quiet when we were there so that was not an issue for us. Safe and quiet stay!

We loved our stay. Our site was beautiful. It was sloping, so we would pick a different riverside camp site in the future, but there are plenty of even ground sites. The hosts were great! They made us feel very welcome. Great home base to explore The Olympic National Park from. Would recommend!

We had a great stay at Rachel's campground. Nice spacious tent site with a good fire ring for that camping ambiance. Visiting the salmon hatchery and river super close by was fun. Clean sani-cans, really appreciated the trash bins inside them as well.

We had a wonderful stay! Our campsite was right on the river with a lovely view and peaceful atmosphere. Nice for the kids to be able to ride their bikes around. This is a great central location for exploring Olympic National Park

I picked this campground to have a safe place to sleep for the night while traveling around the Olympic Peninsula. I definitely felt safe, and I was very impressed with how nice the campground and the host were. The campground was clean and there were plenty of clean port-a-potties. It was a very short walk to some water and the fish hatchery, where we saw a bald eagle. We also saw a family of elk crossing the road on our way up, and countless chipmunks. Great experience in the short time we were there. We plan to come back and stay longer.

Campsite #10 - River View Drive Up

Enjoyed it! Very easy to find and had all the necessities needed. Enjoyed the fire pit with multiple cooking platforms. River is not accessible from campsite if you choose a river view (hence the view part), and you will be right next to someone. If you stay at river view campsite #10, you will be right next to the common area as well and it can get loud. Family friendly so be prepared for screaming kids.

Eagle Run #4

This was a beautiful campground. We got there on a Thursday night and had all day Friday to ourselves at the campground area we were in. Even with people there over the weekend, we felt it was spaced out nicely and the berms they’ve built helped to separate sites. The porta potties were pretty clean and we didn’t mind them at all. Having a dish washing station was an amazing amenity that I personally haven’t seen before! Really cool idea! If we stay in the Olympic National Park again, we would definitely stay here again!

Eagle Run #2

We rented all of the eagle run sites for our group and it was perfect! Kids had plenty of space to run around and ride bikes. We went fishing. Saw beaver falls, La Push, Lake Pleasant and Crescent. It was wonderful! Very accommodating and clean. Bathrooms were clean and a great hand washing station which was so greay to have. So grateful! Thank you Rachel!

Group Camping Trip Success

Eagle Run #1

We had a group of 28 adults and kids. Rented out all the eagle run sites between all the families. It was such a great communal spot for all of us to enjoy with each other. Safe and sound for the kids to run around freely. Rachel came by to say hey and was so accommodating. So many places to see and things to do around. We wish we had more time. Fishing was good too. Caught a few trout and a salmon between the group. We'll be back!

We were in site 14 right by the entrance. The site was very cozy. Having close access to firewood, water and bathrooms were a bonus! The campground was quiet, we almost forgot there was other guests. While we stayed we visited forks which was a short 20 minute drive and hiked beautiful sol duc falls. Overall was a great site would definitely come back!

Very nicely maintained and quiet campground. I solo camped and felt very safe. Sites well labeled and easy to find. The portapotties were some of the cleanest camp bathrooms I have ever seen. Will definitely be back!

This was our third time there. If you want a little more privacy I recommend the walk in sites, they provide a nice little trolly to pack in your stuff. They also have plenty of firewood on site for purchase and ahead and dish washing station!

Everything was exactly as advertised! Eagle’s Nest was situated just far enough from other sites to be private while still feeling like part of the campground. We loved the proximity to the portable toilets and the hand wash station. Would stay again! Beautiful night sky!

Campsite #14 - Drive Up

The Campground was easy to find even as we arrived after dark, it’s not far off the highway but tucked away near the sound of the river and a short walk from a fish hatchery where the small road dead ends. It was nice to star gaze from the river’s rocky shore at the bottom of the small parking lot before the fish hatchery. Sounds of birds (kingfishers) and the river made for a peaceful tent sleep. Our site was 14 and easily fit our mid size suv with 2 kayaks on top; we were 3 people where 2 tents and 3 hammocks fit nicely. We appreciated the umbrella and picnic table when it rained at night! The fire pit w grills was handy especially for cooking w a cast iron pan. Fire wood, dishwashing area and pay station close by was always restocked and ready. The porta johns across the road were well lit. The campground had little bits of whimsy like welcoming gnomes perched in beautiful old stumps which separated each camp site. Sites were a bit close together but the visual barriers and the river sounds made it feel natural, I would definitely return again and try to book earlier to get a river site like 12 or 17. Even the camps across the street, eagle run, salmon run etc look nice and big those would be nice for a larger group. We took a day trip nearby to Lake Ozette for boating and a 3 mile hike to the ocean, would recommend!

We really loved all the thoughtful touches in the Campground. The dishwashing stations had (non-potable) water, soap, sponges, and paper towels! A+. There was no running water but the Porta pottles were super clean. The campsites were nicely isolated with fire rings right next to the picnic tables. Highly recommended!

Campsite #8 - River View Walk-in Site

We enjoyed our stay at Dawleys, Site #8. The site sits right on the river, and it was wonderful falling asleep to the sound of the water and enjoying our morning coffee while overlooking it. The campsite is spacious, level, and has plenty of room for a large tent (ours is 14 feet wide) as well as a pop-up if you bring one. The site includes a picnic table with an umbrella and a grill grate over the fire pit. The grate was a bit rusty, so we chose not to use it, but it would likely work fine if you’re cooking in cast iron or line it with foil. The campsites are fairly close together, so you will see and hear your neighbors. We visited during the week and didn’t have any issues. In fact, we were more concerned about being the noisy ones since we were camping with our three kids! One of the biggest conveniences of Site #8 is its location. It’s right next to the pump and dishwashing station, the wood pile ($20 for a wheelbarrow full), and just a short walk from the porta-potties, which were clean and consistently stocked with toilet paper and hand sanitizer. The owner was very friendly and checked in on us during our stay. She even brought our girls bubbles to play with, which was a thoughtful touch. This is a great base camp for exploring Olympic and overall we had a great experience and would definitely camp here again.

Lots of trees and shade made the campsites comfortable and private. The toilets were clean and well maintained. It was quiet at night and far enough from US101 that traffic wasn’t audible. The Sol Duc River made for nice ambient sound in the background. Would definitely visit again on future Peninsula trips!
