Cloverdale Ranch is home base for the healing hooves of our large herd of goats. Our does started kidding (i.e. mama goats giving birth) May 9th and will continue into June. Watching them cavort in the pasture is a delight. We manage 200+ goats every summer, essential to providing natural vegetation management to manage weeds, reduce fire fuels and recycle carbon back into the soil. We love our dark skies and open horizons, and we want to share them with you. We have shaded tent sites in our windbreak with beautiful sunset views and access to a classic sheepherders wagon for additional shelter. The Bunkhouse is a work in progress, and a great deal this first summer. Explore our 80 acres of rangeland and meadow on foot or by mountain bike. Nearby (i.e. within 15 miles) attractions include: Inland Northwest Rail Museum: https://inlandnwrailmuseum.com/ Audubon Lake Birdwatching: https://wdfw.wa.gov/places-to-go/wildlife-areas/audubon-lake-wildlife-area-unit Train watching - we have an active rail line on the edge of the property. About one train passes every hour or so, and sometimes you can get the engineer to blow the whistle if you pump your fist!

The Bunkhouse

Glamping outside, camping inside. The Bunkhouse has a new deck set up for dining and furnished with a CharBroil grille. Your private deck faces open fields worthy of a screensaver, a breathtaking view of sunrise and sunsets, with starry nights worthy of VanGogh. The Bunkhouse interior is a work in progress, think of it like a tent with hard walls until we get our full glamp on. You are also welcome to pitch your own tent. Explore our 80 acres of creek, meadows and pastures on foot or bicycle. Baby goats will be frolicking in the barnyard in May and June. Guests will have access to a porta potty tent with composting toilet available to borrow or bring your own. Frost free hydrant next to the wagon serves the same water families have been drinking for over a hundred years, technically can't call it potable water without jumping through a whole lot more hoops and paperwork. Use your own judgment.

Shepherd's Camp

Pitch your tent in the shelter of the west windbreak next to the shepherd's wagon. Site is flat and grassy, with a patio just outside the windbreak for a breathtaking view of sunsets across the sagebrush and starry nights overhead. Site is pretty private, very private when the hedge of lilac bushes is in full leaf. Explore our 80 acres of creek, meadows and pastures on foot or bicycle. Guests will have access to a porta potty tent with composting toilet available to borrow or bring your own.
