Location is good…and that’s it
25 ft Class B · With kids · The location of being right next to the river, and having a trail that went to it (even though it was very steep and difficult) was awesome. Everything else…disappointing.
The place where you park your trailer is pretty tight. It’s difficult to navigate and reposition the trailer, and leaving takes extra effort as well. There are three spots at the campsite, but if all three are taken, it would be near impossible to leave with your trailer if the other two spots are occupied. There was one other trailer there, and thankfully they left the day we left. Otherwise, we would have been stuck since there isn’t enough room to pass them.
Another issue was the sewage outflow pipes. Typically, they are below ground level to ensure that the flow slopes downward away from the trailer. One spot is like that, the other two have pipes extending a few inches above ground. So we had to drain the trailer some, then stop it, pick up the pipe and move the water downhill manually a few times, then reopen and repeat the process to ensure our tanks were emptied.
If we were to camp near Port Angeles again, we’d definitely select somewhere else to stay. Wasn’t worth the money we paid in our opinion.
