Whether driving from the east or the west on State Route 6, you will encounter lovely scenery and quaint towns along the way. Pe Ell is a 5-minute drive away and has boasts a grocery store, mini mart with gas, and a Dollar General. If you get tired of charcoal burnt hot dogs, stop by Evie's Cafe for a hot meal and fresh baked pie. If libations are tempting you, Evie's Lounge, the Pe Ell Pub, and Jones Creek Brewery may have a satisfying treat. Across from the park, you will find the Willapa Hill Trail which runs from Raymond, WA to Chehalis, WA. If you take the trail east towards Pe Ell, you will find the town of Walville. Established in 1898, Walville was a logging town and the home of the Rock Creek/Walville Lumber Company Sawmill. At its peak the mill supported roughly 200 residents and had a store and a school. There was a reported 74 Japanese millhands. Today you can find a historical marker where the Cemetery is. There are other points of interest to consider and the proximity to the coast is advantageous for a day out. Let us know if you want some more information about surrounding sites. When you arrive, you will note a driveway that seems to disappear into a mossy lush forest. A sense of peace will wash over as you take in the untouched woodland areas with pathways carved to lure you in. If you have selected the dispersed camp experience, good luck making up your mind! You will make a decision and, on your way back to the car, something will catch your eye...rock, paper, scissors work for me. Being along the Rock Creek, you will be serenaded by the sound of water of stones. Forget the guy that cut you off on your way here. Don't even think about that terrible client from last week. You are in Bedrock. This campground is a longtime dream for Don. He has many wonderful plans for the future. Join us on the journey to this dream come true and have a Yaba Daba good time!!

Site 5

Tent site · Sleeps 8
Site 5: Only 50 feet from Rock Creek, this wide-open area is under a lush canopy of trees that keeps the shade on a hot day. It is a perfect place to bring a group/family camp together. The host of the group could set their site to welcome family and friends. Set up the 'Camp kitchen' for those big meals together. The area is clear and can accommodate all the camp chairs around the fire pit. Adjoining camp spots could keep the campers in your group close but not cramped. You could pull through a camper, class B or C or small trailer. Larger trailers or RVs could be backed in. This camp area is the most developed space as it has been used for family get togethers over the past few years. Many happy memories here.
