Welcome to your own peaceful forest retreat in the heart of Washington’s spectacular North Cascades. Nestled on a private ¼-acre wooded lot just outside Marblemount, this campsite offers the perfect balance of convenience and seclusion. Located within the gated Cascade River Park community, the property features its own private gated entrance, allowing you to bypass the community’s main gate and drive directly onto the site. Whether you’re traveling by RV, camper van, overlanding vehicle, or pitching a tent beneath the trees, this is an ideal basecamp for exploring one of Washington’s most beautiful mountain regions. The upper portion of the property features a long, unpaved driveway with plenty of room for most RVs and camper vans, along with a level area that’s perfect for tent camping. A picnic table and fire pit provide a comfortable place to relax after a day of adventure. The property gently slopes into a lush, moss-covered forest where towering evergreens create a peaceful and surreal atmosphere. Bring a hammock and suspend it between the trees, enjoy your morning coffee beneath the forest canopy, rest among the thick, pillow-like moss carpeting the forest floor, or simply unwind while listening to the birds and the gentle sounds of the surrounding forest. Although there are neighboring properties on both sides, the dense forest provides a surprising sense of privacy. One neighboring cabin is rarely occupied, and the other is tucked away enough that I have yet to see anyone there during my visits. Most guests find that the campsite feels quiet, secluded, and immersed in nature. This is a true off-grid camping experience, so please plan accordingly. The site does NOT have: • Electricity • Potable water • Restroom or toilet facilities • Sewer hookups • Trash service (please pack in and pack out) Guests should bring everything needed for a comfortable, self-sufficient stay. We stayed on this land/property for two nights in a 19.5ft long van. The host was helpful in providing directions for us to find it; it was easy to access and pull into, and overall it was a good spot for us. The moss was very beautiful, and that added a nice, unique touch to the land. Some other pros were that there was a picnic table, a previously established stone fire ring, and a pile of firewood that was surprisingly dry. The fire ring was quite overgrown with moss, and we had to do some excavation, but the fire ban had literally just been lifted, so this wasn't surprising. The host was helpful in confirming that we were able to have a fire under the new fire guidance. I think the only downside was that there is a lot of tree coverage and not a ton of room to move around your rig, so our Starlink was not able to be used while there. Not on the host or land, but something to keep in mind. There are neighbors on both sides, and while they are still far enough away that you don't have to see anyone, I wouldn't consider this absolute/total privacy (if the guests in the property to the right are outside at the same time, you could expect to hear each other). The only other downside was the price; with HipCamp fees, it was ~$100 for 2 nights. Since there are a lot of pull-offs along Cascade River Road, if you really just need a spot to park for the night, it can feel a bit pricey. That being said, since it was our first time at NCNP, we did enjoy having a dedicated place to go both nights, tucked away from the road and behind a gate. Overall, the host was kind and helpful, and the land was pretty. I think if you want the confidence of a dedicated spot and also plan to spend some time there during the day or evening, it is worth it.

We really loved this spot! The moss was incredible and made the whole site feel so enchanting. It is on the smaller side, but still felt private and secluded. There’s space up top for a car, van, or tent, then a lower area with a picnic table, fire pit, and extra room to hang out or set up a hammock. You can see two nearby cabins and some additional cabins and RV sites farther away, but we barely saw or heard anyone during our stay. The host was amazing and gave really detailed, helpful directions that made the site super easy to find. We would definitely recommend it and would happily stay again!

Beautiful site right off the road! Super easy to pull into, and it is very quiet and secluded. Matt was a great host!! We parked our camper van and it fit perfectly.

Beware
16 ft car
Site was tiny and completely overgrown by old dry moss and spiders. Barely enough room for a small SUV to park, but that’s also where your tent is supposed to go ?? Looks like no one has been there in years. Right off the side of the main road behind an old rusted gate. No access to drive down closer to the river, so it’s a couple miles walk down the hill. We cut our losses and booked another site through AirBNB as this campsite was completely unsuitable (even in my single-days when I’d solo backpack into the wilderness). We found a nice campsite in the Cascade River Community Park with running water, a clean bathroom, lots of room and nature, and only a 3 min walk to a riverside park, and quiet camp neighbors. I’d highly recommend THOSE campsites. This campsite should be shutdown. Like camping in a spider’s nest on the side of the road behind hoarder’s cabins. No refund either. Lucky we found the other campsite last minute. Beware.
