Discover a unique camping experience at our family-owned retreat in the serene Grayson Highlands of Virginia, where you can truly disconnect from the modern world. Nestled at an elevation of 3,534 feet, our small, remote venue offers a peaceful escape surrounded by nature, allowing you to witness the Milky Way at night and enjoy the sounds of coyotes and wild turkeys. With an abundance of bees, butterflies, and bunnies, our property is a haven for wildlife enthusiasts.
For over 45 years, we have lovingly maintained our grounds, focusing on sustainable living through gardening and raising chickens. On weekends, indulge in delicious offerings at the Achy Bum Cafe, where you can savor espresso coffees, homemade breakfast sandwiches, and gourmet pizzas on Saturday nights.
Our accommodations cater to various preferences, featuring primitive tent camping, electric tent sites, and RV sites equipped with electric and water hookups. We can accommodate RVs and pull-behind campers up to 28 feet in length (excluding truck length), and our recently renovated bathrooms ensure a comfortable stay. While there is no cell service available, you can connect to Wi-Fi at the Achy Bum Cafe and on the porch, though it is not accessible at the campsites. Escape the summer heat, as our temperatures rarely exceed!
