The area was the perfect size for our family tent with a well-positioned fire ring and a short distance from the latrine. It was quiet and private, but not far from the (few) attractions on the island.

The site was tucked away and adequate for a night on the island. We would recommend adding a picnic table to the site and sprucing up the shared outhouse as it needed some work. It was easy to find, and we had some beautiful views on the island while we drove around!

Nice spot to hang out! Nicely kept and great shade at all times of day. Easy spot to launch from for some nice bike rides, swims and general adventures. Adjacent campsite neighbors can be heard a bit, but honestly that made me feel safer as a “new to solo camping” woman. Really lovely spot and island! Definitely would return to stay.

Was bikepacking up in the islands and found The Green by Wade. Looked liked a good spot for a quiet night of rest and recovery, and it was! Had a lovely stay before exploring Isle la Motte and definitely recommend it if you’re in the area or wanting to journey up explore the islands.

Wade's island stay was just what we needed. Secluded, private yet spacious. Everything you need in a camp and trust us we stayed for a week. Close to places to re-supply and close to great outdoor activities. Wade left us camp yet was available when needed. 10/10 would recommend and we plan on coming back!

The Clearing at Small Island Stays offers a perfect, peaceful retreat surrounded by nature. The spacious, grassy area is ideal for pitching a tent, with plenty of room for multiple campers. The large fire pit and grill make it easy to enjoy outdoor cooking, and the host generously provides a free bundle of wood for your first night. A hammock is also set up for guests to relax and take in the serene atmosphere. Set back from the house, the site feels completely private, and the well-marked path makes it easy to find. Isle La Motte is a charming spot, with beautiful views of Lake Champlain and plenty of local attractions nearby for exploring. A wonderful escape for anyone looking to unwind in nature!

This camping site was perfect for our stay at Isle la motte. It is very well located on the island. Central to all sights. I have to also recommend Kraemer & Kin which is just a jump away for a nice view on the lake and rolling greens of the golf course. Host was welcoming and gave a lot of privacy. The clearing was larger than what was expected. We had enough space for two tents, two cars and a washer game and we still had lots of space. 10/10 recommend

Perfectly private spot! It is a great size for our sprinter van and pup. Luscious trees kept another near by camp spot out of site in August. Located on an interesting island with lots of history. A great place to walk or bike around, while also just an easy hour drive into the city of Burlington if you're staying stateside. We would absolutely book again if we are in the area.

Very private and Wade’s direction made it easy to find. Island and lake are beautiful. Site is very large and secluded. I would recommend a tarp as very little shade in the afternoon. We used insect repellent all day long because of mosquitoes but they left us alone once we were covered and I imagine the time of year we were there impacts as prolific they were.

Such a peaceful place! We stayed 2 nights during a bikepacking trip and we loved it! So many birds singing in the morning and we truly felt alone.
The only negative thing for us was the access to water (since we were on our bikes), but we asked at the general store a few minutes away to refill our bottles and it went well!

Exactly what we were looking for - and exactly as billed on the site! We needed a simple camping spot for our tent and this delivered! Very secluded such that you feel you’re in the mountains when really not too far from the road. Very quiet night with great views of the star filled sky!! The fire pit design was so simple but tremendously effective for an entire night of enjoyment.

My partner and I LOVED camping at The Green! We spent the day in Burlington for the solar eclipse and had a bit of a later check in, but Wade was super understanding and accommodating! We have a roof top tent on our Subaru and we didn’t need to use any levels which was awesome. No one else was using the other site available, so we had the whole place to ourselves! Wade was an incredibly communicative and helpful host, his directions were clear and he even left us some firewood to use in the pit provided! One of the first things we said to ourselves when we got all setup is how excited we are to come back to Vermont and bring our friends here. Thank you thank you thank you Wade for making even just our one night stay, feel like a million bucks!

Wade's campsite was just as described. It was a nice open, grassy clearing with ample room for multiple tents and/or games. It was private and peaceful. We had two tents and still had room to setup a large badminton net in the space.

Wades campsite was all it was advertised as. Clean, plenty of space, secluded and with a nice outhouse. Would recommend for anyone looking to explore the fossils or visit the nice beach on the next island.

Beautiful spot! Super secluded, has an outhouse that is shared with the other camp, (no one was there during our stay!) It also has a grill and picnic table provided as well as a grill to place over the fire pit. Easy directions on how to get to the campsite too. You can hear the peaceful sounds of birds in the morning and the sounds of the trees blowing in the wind at night. Highly recommend this place if you're staying in the area!

Wade had excellent communication about the spot and directions. It was easy to find. We were on a bike tour and his Hipcamp was on our route. There is no running water or access to water. Be advised that the bathroom is a plywood outhouse but TP was provided. The site is very large, grassy, and private. There is a fire pit and picnic table as well.

It was a really nice and comfortable stay. There is a lot of space and it's nice and sheltered from the wind. I've never seen so many fireflies before.
