Nomadic camping

Best for self-contained campers. There are no toilets, showers, or potable water at this Hipcamp.

Directly on the Great Northern Forest Canoe Trail.., Fishing, tube, firepit, swim, explore. Wenlock Nature Preserve is right up the road. There is no toilet, but there is a power spot nearby. Pull up and camp steps to the river. There is firewood. The property is close to the atv area and a few stores nearby. So you have an idea about the size of the property. My neighbor and his wife who are both 70 live across the street, approximately 150 or so from the site. There are two Neighbors' houses. If you look at the topo you will see the following. The area adjacent to my house is around an acre or so. The swim area and fire pit are around 800 feet from my home. Next to my house approximately 100 ft away is a set of posts I put in along the road and a gravel area to park. I call this the lower field...You will pull in this area and park. You will see my vintage camper on the grass. Next to that is my enclosed trailer and my garage slab.. I cannot see the swim area or lower tent site from my main home it is too far away, blocked by trees, my trailer, etc. The camp area is grass and has granite stone seats, a fire pit. Sand beach etc. This area is approx 20 feet down in elevation from and set back from the road. The entire property is on the Nulhegan River. Topo Picture layout. Red swim area, blue tent ,purple camper, black lower level ,yellow is sloped grass. If you decide to rent it let me know if you will be bringing tents you can certainly pick a spot. If you bring a tow behind or larger RV you can park it in the upper field. A smaller tow can park along the river. There is no refund if you book! I have this listed on Air Bnb also so I will block the other listings. THE CAMPER IS NOT INCLUDED in the listing on Hi-camp All trash and waste needs to be removed and taken away. You bring it in, you take it out. Thanks for understanding.Looks out over the river steps to swim hole shallow and fire pit ,Picnic table etc. Has electric hookup near the stairs with a pedastal. Great spot along the river! Fire pit was available which was nicely placed for a river view. There was a hammock and other handy stone slabs which were helpful for set up. River is feet away with sandy spot for swimming. Great spot! Host was super nice and helpful! Dogs loved it!

Tent camping on the Nulhegan River

Steve is a gracious host with a great spot here. I stayed here on a rainy weekend in May and in spite of the bad weather, I had a great time. Every amendment one would expect from a spot like this was provided. If you enjoy getting out into nature and exploring, this is as good a base camp as someone could ask for. Would recommend. I’ll definitely be returning.
