Location was amazing and the views were so incredible!! we were lucky enough to have the entire site all to ourselves and could explore around in the morning after spending the night. The spots seemed pretty close to each other and curious what the experience would be like during peak times but we had a blast during the off season!

Site 10 - Water Canyon Campground

I loved this site it was so awesome. There is a super cute hike right down the road with the most amazing waterfall. We had an issue and the hosts were so lovely and accommodated to us so well. Would recommend this place to all of my friends and family. So much fun!

Charles has an awesome little campground put together! Gorgeous views, incredible stargazing, and the amenities will be top notch once the bathrooms are completed! Ain’t nothing wrong with a clean portajohn though.

We loved the secluded set up of each camp site. The solar lights & walking paths were such a nice touch. Honestly this site was the best tent site I’ve been to. Will absolutely camp here again next Zion visit. It is about a 50 minute drive to the park which we really enjoyed not being in close camping quarters with others. The scenery is beautiful with other hiking trails within a 5 minute walk from the camp site. I can’t recommend this place enough for people looking for quiet tent camping with beautiful views.

Site 6 - Water Canyon Campground

We had a great time camping here! We had 4 people and 2 dogs (split between two tents), and site 1 was plenty spacious for our group. We were the only campers that weekend, so the whole area was quiet and relaxing. There is one portable toilet on site (which I could see being less than ideal if the campground is full), and a wagon to help haul your gear to your site. Our site had a picnic table, bench, trash can, and fire pit, and solar powered lights along the paths which was helpful at night. The dirt road to the campsite is rocky in a few sections but still very doable for smaller cars. Town is only about 10 minutes away, which was nice to pick up extra supplies as needed. Overall we thoroughly enjoyed our experience and would recommend this campsite!

Cool quiet spot when we camped. Lower camps are well manicure, trash was almost full so some services would help. Upper camp spots are up hill and look to have unleveled tent surfaces. It looks like they are installing toilets and showers but as of now it’s just one portapotty that was almost full and needed service as well. Camp spot 6 is right next to parking so for our next trip we would get camp spot one it looked the best to us but 1-5 seemed nice camp spot 5 was next to the portapotty. Over all we had a great time. There was a late arrival at almost midnight that had no regard for sleeping campers when setting up but that’s just lame people not the campgrounds fault. Over all would return

Site 3 - Water Canyon Campground

What a great space! Very beautiful and secluded in the canyon. Feels like I’m in a little oasis! I was solo traveling (as a female) and I felt pretty safe here! Didn’t hear any animals or noises throughout the night besides some small chipmunks and birds early in the morning. The water canyon creek trailhead is not too far and is beautiful!

Site 7 - Water Canyon Campground

Water Canyon Campground is a hidden gem. Not only is the location beautiful, it is also incredibly peaceful. It was the perfect location for our visit to Zion National Park and we loved exploring all the area had to offer. The campground was obviously thoughtfully developed from a clear vision of being a campers paradise. The dark sky for stargazing was a definite perk. Charles was very responsive and kind and we will definitely stay here again.

Overall this is a very beautiful space. We had campsite 1, which doesn't say in the description but it isn't a drive up spot. But it isn't far and they provide a wagon which was great. There's plenty of space for 3 tents and is the most private spot at this site. The solar lights are a nice touch too. Now I reached out to the host 3 times and never received a response. I'm an understanding person and maybe they weren't well or busy. I just had a question and grabbed some fire wood and wanted to know how to pay for it. Only real problem I encountered was that when we arrived out trash can was completely full and almost overflowing. Which was a bummer. But other than that the spot is nice

Site 7 - Water Canyon Campground

What a fantastic location & campground. We absolutely loved camping here. We ran Water Canyon & went to the Water Canyon winery - both very close to this campground. This campground is a very special place with a lot of love put into it, you can tell. We'll definitely stay again when in the area.

One of the best camping spots I have ever been to. One of the coolest camp set ups I highly recommend this place will 100% be staying here again. Me and my friends spent a night here on a roadtrip and they couldn’t stop talking about how dope it was. BOOK IT ASAP

It was so cool. Such a cool place to be with a gorgeous sunset/sunrise colors along the mountains. The Porta potty was cleaned while we were there and it was obvious new amenities were being built. It was super quiet and we’d totally come back!

Beautiful spot, this time of year the evenings are nice and cool, but super hot during the day. There is a beautiful hike very close about a mile down the road. The only thing is Charles. The host didn’t respond to me for about five days. he was very responsive in the beginning, but not responsive after I got there. But overall the place was beautiful.

Site 6 - Water Canyon Campground

Water Canyon Campground is insanely beautiful and well thought out. We stayed in campsite #1. We arrived at dark so that was challenging but if you just follow the signs, you will find it. We had the campground to ourselves which was amazing for our kids and dogs. Water Canyon trail is just wow!! Definitely do that if you can. We made several trips to Bee’s market in Colorado City and highly recommend Sistabrew Coffee (get the honey bee iced) We also had great service and food at Edge of the World Brewery in Colorado City. Great price, great site. There is only one porta potty but it’s clean and well lit. Looks like they are building some bathrooms and/or showers. Oh and the campsite trails are all lined with solar lights which is very comforting and appreciated.

The site was super cute! A table and fire ring, even grill were set up. Beware a long gravel road is a bit bumpy to get there but views of the canyon next to site pretty cool!

Site 2 - Water Canyon Campground

We had a great stay at this campsite—it was very well maintained and peaceful. We stayed at campsite #2, which came with a bench, a campfire ring, and a grill. The site was conveniently close to the porta-potty but still felt private. The lighted path was a thoughtful touch that made it easy to navigate at night. One of the co-hosts checked in on us during our stay, which we really appreciated. Firewood was available for just $8, which was super convenient. The campsite is located about 30–40 minutes from Zion, making it a great base for day trips to the park.They are in the process of building showers which I think would make the experience even better in the future. Will definitely be back!!

Best trip to ZNP EVER!

Charles was an outstanding camp host. I’d like to note that he communicated very well before we even showed up! Once at the van site, he came and introduced himself & gave us recommendations for riding & hiking. The campground as a whole is beautiful. The van site was spacious (we were truck bed tent camping with an ADV bike) and had plenty of room for the truck, bike, shower tent, table with cooking supplies, coolers, hammocks & fire pit. Wound up having to cut our trip a day short, as our motorcycle got a flat… Charles was so gracious to refer us to someone in town to assist but ultimately decided to head back to Tucson a day early however, still SO grateful for that. Would 10/10 recommend & we will be back!! Also, the area is gorgeous, waking up to red rock mountain views! The campground is in the process of building showers and toilets which will be so nice when completed! (We brought a portable toilet/ shower as per usually when we camp) Thanks for everything Charles!!!!

This campground is adorable and the owners are putting so much work into it, I can't wait to see what it looks like in another couple of seasons. It's tucked away off the road but still easy to find. Each site has a little stone fire ring, grill, fire extinguisher and picnic table. There was firewood available for purchase and the host made that transaction easy.vThere's tons to do in the immediate area, like there's a bunch of trail heads if you keep going down the lane past the campground entrance.

Site 8 - Water Canyon Campground

The host was great at communicating when a misunderstanding occurred. The campsite we actually stayed at was site 5, as we needed a pull in site because we were car camping and wanted to be close to the picnic table and fire-pit area. The campsite itself was really well maintained and the view was beautiful, like a mini Zion. The bathroom was close to site 5 and well maintained as well.

Dream location! Gorgeous but hot! We were in site 8. The lower sites are clearly marked. The sites up the hill were in not clearly marked, at all. Expect a lot of sand and no cell phone service. If you need to reach the host you will need to head into town. Thankfully it is a few mins drive to make that call. Porta potty is clean and well kept, mind you will have to walk down to get to it. Views are amazing and absolutely worth it. Go on the Water Canyon hike, it is 100%, but go early...it's hot! 10/10 would recommend. 10/10 would return to this site....in the cooler months. Thank you!!!

Site 7 - Water Canyon Campground

*Just to clarify, this review probably says site 7 but we ended up staying in site 6. Sites 7-11 are not quite lanscaped at the time of my stay but all have a fire pits and tent space. * I absolutely loved this campground! It's not too far from Zion NP and there are tons of hidden gems in the area. Our camphost, Charles, was extremely responsive with any questions we had and gave us lots of advice on what to see in the area. This campground itself is so adorable and thoughtfully put together. It is still a work in progress (showers coming soon!) But, there are lit landscaped paths to all of the campsites and the toilet. There are lots of little cacti so the path and lights help you avoid a run-in with one of them! Most of the sites have wood buring grills, fire extinguishers, and picnic tables and all of them have fire pits. These sites are cozy and secluded with lots of shade a trees. Any spot that may expose you to other campsites had man-made partitions to give you more privacy. Charles has also provided firewood for purchase on site. There are multiple spigots of very clean water available right up the road at Maxwell park. This spot really had everything we needed and I can't wait to go back!
