Such a wonderful peaceful place. Close enough in town that you can run and grab anything that you need but far enough away to feel like you're really alone. I really appreciated the self-check-in but great communication in case I needed anything. There's a ton of land but I really also love that I was the only one camping. The cows are so friendly and it was such a pleasant surprise to have them greet me throughout my visit. I'll definitely be back!

Loved the spot. Very peaceful, and quite. Plenty of mesquite for shade. If you're trying to get away from the hustle and bustle of the San Antonio, and don't want to go far, look no further. This place check all the right boxes for a primitive campsite.

I had a nice comfortable experience. I felt secluded so it was easy to relax with a quiet night.
Simple camping, relaxing in the sun or shade out on your own.
For sure recommendation if that’s for you.

I had a great experience on my camping trip. I was welcome on site with fire wood and a wonderful story about the lands history. They have two cows on the land that were so friendly. Where I chose to put my tent, unfortunately, had quite a few ants. But other than that, I would recommend this site to anyone.

Really excellent spot! Very secluded and LOTS to explore. Good fence around the campsite area so my dog could do her thing. Will definitely go back in cooler weather!!! Absolutely perfect if you're looking to disconnect and decompress.

We enjoyed Tony’s campsite so much! It was super secluded and peaceful, with lots of natural wildlife, and a really well maintained property. We will definitely be staying there again!

Had an awesome weekend at this camp spot. The fire pit was a huge bonus and really made it feel like a true off grid escape, even though it's less than an hour from town. Anthony was great with communication and comes across as a genuinely kind person. The rate is more than fair for what you get. If you're looking for a peaceful spot to unwind without going too far, this place is a solid choice. Highly recommend.

Cool place with Tx history . The turkeys came over for a visit . Plenty of firewood and tree cover . The hiking was interesting with creek bottoms .

We had a great time camping on Anthony's land. It was quiet, peaceful, and clean with lots of wildlife and trails to explore. We got to meet his two cows, who visited our camp daily. Along with hearing coyote's at night, we saw wild turkeys, vultures, an armadillo, an owl, and various song birds. We hiked his trails and visited the abandoned Picosa Creek Bridge. As a history buff, that was pretty cool. Anthony was a gracious host, who reached out to make sure we found our way okay and that we enjoyed our stay. We would definitely book here again and recommend to our friends.

Tony was a a great host. Called me beforehand and went though how to get to our tent site and the ins/outs of the property. A lot of trails and wildlife. Perfect amount of firewood. Definitely would go back

This place was so awesome, felt very secluded but still comforted by the fact civilization was nearby. Lots of beautiful wildlife in the area and some nice places to hike. I would definitely stay here again given the opportunity!

South Pico was so beautiful!! There were lots of nice little trails to walk on, Tony made sure we had plenty of firewood, and the site was super private. I'd definitely recommend and can't wait to come back!

EVERYTHING was absolutely amazing!! Tony was incredibly attentive, ensuring everything was perfect throughout my stay. Perfect site for primitive camping with the kids. Loved having the place to ourselves and the freedom to run, play, and explore. Tony was a great host. He said we could camp anywhere but we chose a spot near the fire ring which has flat areas perfect for tents. We will be back!

Whole group had a blast camping here, got to see some cows as well as watch turkeys feed in the morning. Definitely will have to come back again.

Anthony was extremely helpful and made sure I had plenty of firewood for the night. The area was very nice and felt very secluded which is exactly what I want in a camping trip. That paired with abundant wildlife and friendly cows made the trip very memorable. I look forward to coming back one day, hopefully soon.

This place was great it was nice and secluded and Tony was very accommodating. It's a great place if you want to get away from everything, and have plenty of space to yourself. The deer feeder that is nearby, scared the crap out of me at first 😄, but was really neat to see the turkeys and deer come feed from it. Plenty of places to go hiking, and it was a short jog in town if I needed to go grab something. Would totally recommend this place to anyone.

My man Tony was very attentive to my needs. He even let me borrow his kayak to use for my lil trip to San Antonio River. His property is very private that allows you dwell in nature and be captivated by its beauty. He has a creek that i rode my bike nearby , it was just beautiful!. It is very quiet and has lots of privacy to a point i showered in nature. His cows came and greeted me every morning, very friendly. I would definitely go back again.

A truly awesome camp site that lets you get all the perks of primitive camping as well as being close enough to town that if you forget anything it’s not the end of the world. Loads of trails that were perfect for the dogs to run around and get their smells in, as well as a good amount of wildlife to include turkeys, deer, and some very curious and friendly calves! We were provided fire wood on arrival and there is enough wood around the property to last the whole trip. This is an amazing spot with tons of wildlife and beautiful landscape that is perfect for a get away, we will definitely be coming back!

Loved my stay on Tony’s land! I camped with my three year old and my two dogs and we all had a blast. There’s little bitty cows on site that greeted us upon arrival and my kiddo was stoked. Very private with it being just one site, and it was open and clean. Tony was even nice enough to leave some firewood for us to use (there’s a fire ring!). We drove up in an SUV; if you have a smaller car you’ll need to be a bit careful with the taller brush, but it’s minimal and the property is very well kept/landscaped. Highly recommend if you have dogs or small kids and are worried about sharing space - this place is a gem!
