Great price for full hookup! Large pull-through site for easy in and out. Loved spending time with the sweet (stray) cat that hangs around. Great location right off the highway.

Great overnight stop on Historic Route 66. Easy on/off Interstate 40. Quiet, peaceful, dark, private, power was clean & water pressure was great.

I pulled up late afternoon. It was pretty obvious where to park but just in case. I went into the office and asked + wish I could remember her name but the woman who manages it was really nice. Polite came outside. Showed me exactly where to park. I have a smaller class c RV. She told me they only have a 50 amp + asked if I needed an adapter. I told her I was okay. I had one but thank you. It was nice to be able to hook up for the night with electric and water. They are working on a bunch more sites including they will soon have available. Cohol I would definitely stay here again. Cute little town!. Cute little hotel and very friendly.

The cactus in was a good stop over spot while in the road! The host was welcoming and showed me where to plug in. I was able to recharge my batteries and also use my heater a little since it was freezing that night! Thank you for your hospitality!

Easy in and out, The site was level and worked well for us for one night. The trees provided shade and water and electric was available. It was fairly quiet.

Can’t beat the price for electric, water, a dump station and wifi! Located in a dried up west Texas town with a couple of surprises. An amazing steak house next door, least expensive gas we’ve seen on a 4,000 mi trip, great breakfast burrito at the Garrisons Conoco with fresh made salsa. There is a tap house and an original Route 66 gas station. The hostess was amazing and everyone was so nice. We’ll remember the Cactus Inn if we’re passing by again.

It was easy to get to, quiet and she provided a 30 amp converter for our camper van. The steak restaurant next door was convenient. The site was a little rough but level.

Miss Angela's lovely little arrangement to sleep under the sign is one of the most creative things I have ever done. She was super kind and friendly and I got to meet lots of Rhodie puppies as a bonus. Saw a beautiful sunrise. Didnt have to worry about the bathroom like I thought I would. Safe neighborhood. Yes to the Steakhouse and the Tavern!

This is a wonderful place to stay! If you love Route 66 and all the great nostalgia you'll love this stay! Super easy check in and site access. The steakhouse right next store was great! Delicious food and so convenient when you're traveling and don't want to cook! I definitely recommend the Cactus Inn under the giant cactus!

We arrived before sunset to find that the hook-ups at the sight would not work for us: electric on the sign post, but water farther-than-our-hose away on the other side. The owner showed up quickly after I messaged her when we were looking for the water hook-up. She offered a garden hose, but we prefer our hose with a filter. We drink our sink water and we were running low. She kindly refunded our payment. Looks like they are in the process of building more hook-up sites.

I’ve stayed at a lot of hip camps and airbnbs and this was probably my favorite stay of them all. Angela is almost done renovating her classic Route 66 motel and adding more electrical for Hipcampers. She loves her small town and took my wife and I on a small tour of McLean. She was awesome and gladly stay here again on my next trip down Route 66.

We enjoyed our overnight stay very much just off Route 66. Host was very friendly, 50amp with water, offered dump station but we chose not to use. Cute old tap house in downtown. We rode our scooters there found the first gas station built on Route 66 and met an extremely friendly bartender at tap house, Vol & he gave us wonderful recommendations for our journey. We will happily stay here again!

Coming thru this town, I was t really sure what to expect… but I was completely taken by surprise. The host was so sweet and walked over to show me my site, behind the motel. It was clean, I felt safe and she offered electric, water and a dump station. The motel is very clean and is right in Route 66, so that was fun. I’ll definitely be back here in my next pass through!

The designated camping spot sat beside a stand of beautiful cacti with, sadly, trash interspersed. The motel itself appeared to be in good shape but the town has seen better days.

We really enjoyed our overnight at the Cactus Inn Motel. It’s conveniently located right off I-40. We camped right behind the classic cactus sign which made for a great photo opportunity. The site had easy water and electric hookup (50 amp - we used an adapter for our 30 amp travel trailer). There’s a great little steak house within an easy walk of the motel which is very good. The site is level but might be a little muddy on a rainy evening. We’d definitely camp here again on our way out west.

Spot was perfect for us! We have a 35 foot tow behind, but with the turnaround and pull-thru spot, we can see rigs bigger working here as well. A short walk to a cute steakhouse that has free cobbler with every entree (the plum was delish!) AT&T and T-mobile hot spots worked great here even though our cell service was a little spotty.

After confirming reservation for the one site multiple weeks in advance, we arrived to find the site occupied. We contacted “Pam” who was to our rescue within 15 min. Pam apologized for the double-booking and offered us a place down the street on her land with full hookups. Pam and her husband jumped into action to mow the site quickly for us to use. We had a quiet and convenient night behind the 7-11 and next to the fire station instead of the Cactus Inn. Thank you to Pam and her family for the kindness and hospitality. Disappointed that we couldn’t stay by the big cactus but so grateful for the people!

So cool! Great spot for plugging in and staying the night. It’s a cool spot for pictures, especially if you are a fan of Old Route 66 Aesthetics and Schitt’s Creek.

Great stop off of I-40 , someone even came out to meet me when I got there even though it was late. Classic vintage hotel sign was fun to camp under !

The space is pretty self explanatory, quiet and clean. It says that there are electrical hook ups but there is only one and there was already an RV there so had it not been a cool evening it would’ve been a real issue not having access to my air conditioning, but the weather seem to make that OK.

Wow! This chance to stay right on the iconic Rt. 66 is not to be missed! The Motel is from a day gone by, which makes it the perfect place to stay. We pulled our van right behind the sign - great photo op for our scrapbook. Definitely spend an hour at the barbed wire museum - well done and an absolute treat for those looking for something fun off the beaten track. Also, go to Red River Steakhouse and be sure sure sure to get the jalapeño poppers - best I’ve ever had anywhere!

Booked this for a quick overnight as we were passing through the area. We took 287 to 273 to get to McLean and the drive in was beautiful. We communicated with the host the morning of arrival to notify them when we would be arriving. They messaged back within an hour or so, and asked us to pull in and check-in at the office to find our spot. We paid for electric and were pleasantly surprised to find full hookups available. The site was fairly level tucked behind the Inn. We enjoyed a quick dinner at the steakhouse nearby and had a very restful evening. Really quiet and safe area. We will definitely be back when passing through!
