The site is spacious, with a nice view of the river. Nice shade and a fire ring for evening campfire. Hookups are well maintained and we had a great stay!

Shaded sites all around for our 21 footers, yet nice and open grounds. Host was very communicative and available! Sites were deep for larger rigs. Pretty and peaceful setting with roads to walk down, and one can't beat the easy river access on a warm day. Full hookups too! Nice deep fire pits, but mine could've used some cleanup from previous campers. Nice mowed lots, but tons of leaves and some branches on the ground (to be expected this time of year on windy days). Nearby house to sites 3-4 was quiet and went unnoticed! Surprisingly, there's a bit of highway noise from miles away to the West/SW, but not enough to hinder a relaxing time. Plenty of picnic tables! I'm recommending and will return.

We loved camping this weekend in our 5th wheel! Everything about it was fabulous. Becky is a great host. The only thing that was tricky for us, because we arrived after dark, was getting to the right road that lead into the property. When I called, they were very helpful and we slid right into spot #1. We enjoyed ourselves so much, we booked the site again and another spot for friends. I am definitely looking forward to our next adventure!

My family of three had a great time here. We were the only ones camping at RV sites and it was quiet all to ourselves. I also had a chance to fish for a bit and have caught a smallmouth and largemouth bass. I will be planning to come back in the future.

A hidden gem in Central Texas, Big Rocks on the Brazos is convenient with a serene, off-the-beaten-path vibe. The owner’s warm greeting made us feel welcome, and the site felt safe. The river view was breathtaking, with deer and lightning bugs adding charm. Our fully shaded spot #1 would be a haven from Texas heat! The road in was partly single-lane and some gravel, it was in good condition, but signage to guide campers and clearer spot markers would help. The sewer dump at our site worked but wasn’t ideally placed for our rig. Low-hanging branches were a major issue for our 12'6" rig, forcing us off-road in spots. This makes the campground less ideal for rigs over 8'-9' unless you’re okay navigating off-road. A lovely spot with minor tweaks needed.

We loved camping here. At the end of a paved road you will find your Happy Place. Especially if you are a fisherman. Very peaceful and well taken care of. Very easy to book and a quick to respond owner. Could not be happier with our experience.

I tried to cancel 3 days before I was to arrive . I drove there in my car to check it out and there were trees to low for my class A motorhome to even get to the site without damaging my roof ! I talked to the owner and they were aware I talked to Hipcamp and never heard back . This is a glitch in the system. I’m still hoping someone does the right thing and refunds my money.

Becky was a great host! The location was perfect and it was 30 minutes to pretty much anything you want to see in Waco! Mammoth monument is super cool and so is Homestead Heritage but Homestead is very expensive. At the campsite it was a one minute walk to the river and felt secluded.

I had a rough couple of weeks and needed a rest. I stayed for 4 days and recharged. As advertised I camped near the bank of the Brazos River. I had time to drop a line in the river which was running high and fast. Everyone was hospitable and helpful. 2 minor issues, there were some low branches (my class c is 11 feet tall) and you may need an extra long sewer hose. I would happily return when in the area.

This was our 1st HipCamp experience. It will be hard to find another spot that will supass our amazing experience here. Site was amazing, level, water tasted great. No issues w hooking up. We had Sites 1&2. River view was great, it was really running due to the recent rains so we were unable to get in. The guys caught 10 large catfish. Our host mowed a trail to walk in the field, shared some firewood w us, showed off the new cabin that will be released on AirBNB soon, (CUTE!!) Fabulous property! 10/10 stars

Overall it’s a beautiful location. The bad thing is the RV spots are so close together. So when you expect a peaceful getaway, and then your neighbor pulls up to his spot next to you with 9 small dogs and sets up a dog fence right next to your RV window, it’s not so peaceful anymore. This was are case when we stood here. I had decided to leave the same night we arrived. We weren’t looking forward to waking up to all those dogs the next morning. I didn’t bring my dog on this trip and I’m glad because that would of made all those 9 dogs bark even more.

There are four RV sites number one is closest to the water and four is furthest, but all of them are still very close. The land is beautiful. It was a lot of fun there. It was so peaceful and quiet. The host was very helpful. When we showed up a man came out and helped us guide our RV in. All in all I believe this park would be fun for anyone who likes privacy with large trees and a river within a minutes walk. We will definitely be back.

Small, secluded area, it has a great open space that was well maintained for dogs and kids. Friendly host. River access. Connections were easily accessible for the campers. There was a fence behind the area to park your camper gives a nice feeling of security.

We are traveling from Idaho. This Hipcamp is in a very quiet area right by the river. Electric, water and sewer hookups at each site (four total). We actually lucked out and were the only ones there for two nights. About 25 minutes to Waco. Our dogs loved it. We would definitely stay again. Host was very quick to respond to a question I had. We enjoyed our stay very much! Thank you for sharing your property!

Sites are too close but quiet place

Overall the place was ok. We were in site 4 and thankfully site 3 was vacant because it is way too close for our comfort. So maybe if you rent both sites together with a friend it would be ok. Otherwise, I wouldn’t stay there again. The grandkids enjoyed playing in the river and there were alot of birds around that we enjoyed seeing and listening to.

This is on a great part of the river. Our side was shallow and slow, but the opposite side was deep and faster flowing. We fished and paddle boarded. Very peaceful location. The RV connections were in great condition and the pad was nearly level. The huge old trees are beautiful and must be over 100 years old.
