Its exactly what the listing described. It was really quiet and a relaxing time. I would definitely come back next time. The big white box and the wood logs on the side were a plus.
Ample room for one tent, and lots of room for many tents if needed.

We thoroughly enjoyed staying on Chris's land and will definitely stay again on our next trip to Big Bend. We really appreciated the feeling of remoteness, the quiet solitude and the unparalleled stargazing. Thank you, Chris, for graciously sharing your little slice of paradise!

Checked in at 12:30 AM and found the spot without any issues, thanks to clear instructions. The host was prompt in responses and helpful. The location is great, offering a clear view of the Milky Way. Overall, a good experience.

Exactly what i was looking for. It's remote enough to see the stars but not so far out of the way that it's an issue with getting there. Fire ring was clutch. The road in isn't paved but it can easily be driven by a front wheel drive car so there really isn't any vehicle that couldn't make it here. Sun rise and sunset are amazing and the night sky is the cherry on top. Would definitely go back here. Thank you, Chris.

Really enjoyed this site. I like to take morning walks and the road was a great place to do that. The site was level enough for us to easily level our 38ft motorhome and turning around to exit was also simple. We had a great view out the windshield. You could see a couple of other dwellings out one side and just desert out the other.

Big Bend Camp Terlingua
Great location if your looking for off the grid camping. Not much there just a fire ring and a connex box to block from The wind. Nearest camp site you can see is maybe a quarter mile away.now for some info. It did snow while we were there. So the roads can get kind bumpy and rough. Maybe it was just cause of the weather but I would not drive a low 2wd car down here any and all trucks can make it. And all crossovers and suvs. But your honda civic and other vehicles similar might have a hard time. Over all great place to crash while your enjoying the area. Super close to terlingua. Beautiful views in the morning while your drinking your morning coffee.

Great secluded spot. Very very quiet with beautiful surroundings. The road to the site was definitely bumpy in my 2WD sedan, but easily passible in these dry conditions. No cell service as stated, but I easily found some on the paved road. Will be back!

Awesome remote spot. We brought our 43 ft trailer and had plenty of room. There is a long bumpy dirt road in but we just went really slow. Great views, sunsets, stars. We kept delaying and the. adding a few nights and Chris was great at accommodating us.

Nice private camping near Big Bend. Land is simple and nice and quiet. Be prepared for a bit of a drive (40 mins +) into Big Bend. Our 41 ft 5th wheel had a little trouble turning around but it should be great for anything smaller. Road in was fine RV tip: Get water in Alpine (it's a close held commodity in this area). Dump at Terlingua Ranch Lodge is $15 (only place we could find other than in Big Bend).

A very quiet peaceful spot to camp. Unfortunate that it's about 25 miles to Big Bend NP, but it was worth the drive.

We had a great week at Big Bend camp Terlingua! Very quiet and beautiful area close to the national park and state park. Only person we saw all week was Super nice gentleman Chuck who lives just down the road. Thank you Chris, Highly recommend!

I was looking for a legal spot to spend three or four nights. I didn't need water or bathroom - my camper has all that. It was a perfect place to hang out, to do day trips from. The ambiance was a bit marred by the container on the property, but that's easy to keep out of sightlines. The views from the little pad are stupendous, and it is quiet. The nearest habitation is a fifth wheel to the southeast that is at least 300 yards away. Definitely worth $8 a night. what's funny, is the first time I clicked on the site the price was six bucks.

The veiw was spectacular!!! The dark ski was amazing! My teens had to disconnect from their devices and enjoy the world around them. Close to Big Bend National park but far from society! We were so happy we decided on this site!

Easy to get to. Dirt road, totally fine for a Prius. Definitely no service - I could get texts out with a booster but nothing else.

Camping on Chris’s land was absolutely perfect. It is primitive so obviously don’t expect any hookups, water, or cell service (which was a major plus for us) We have a 23ft class c and was towing a small truck and made it to the site just fine. It is a bumpy road though. The container on site worked out great for shade and the already made fire ring was a plus! The best part was the night sky!!!!! Absolutely perfect for stargazing!!!!! 🌌 There are two different entrances that we noticed. We preferred the second one as it was a little less hard on the ride. 10/10 recommend!!

Big Bend Camp Terlingua
Camping here was great! It was away from everything with plenty of land to explore. The stars were super clear and the sunsets were amazing.
My husband liked "off-roading" down the bumpy dirt road to get there. It was pretty equidistant from Big Bend National Park and Big Bend Ranch State Park and felt like a nice get-away from the city and all the lights.

It was a clean quiet place far enough away to feel alone. Flat location which goes forgotten sometimes. Would have returned for another night but it wasn't available. Great option when visiting Big Bend.

Chris and his property are wonderful! Chris responded quickly to messages and his property was as described. This is the perfect location to see beautiful and very colorful sunsets!! We highly recommend staying here!

This is a peaceful place to camp and was exactly as described. We stayed 5 days on one tank of water plus drinking water separately. Pulling in and leveling was very easy. The neighbors generator was barely audible and not a problem for us even when ours was off. The weather was really moody and we did more storm watching than stargazing but that suited us fine. Wind. Do not underestimate the wind. The container was great for afternoon sun but the wind was out of the east so not helpful this time. It was already quite hot though and the wind made it almost comfortable in the shade.

Loved the site. We had TERRIBLE weather and we were super thankful for the little bit of shelter the storage box on the site provided. Site was exactly as advertised. We felt very safe and comfortable.
