Wanderlust Woods is a hidden 10 acre property hosting a flowing creek, mountain views, and plenty of space to wander yet minutes from adventure activities, fishing, and hiking in the National Park. Perfect for all seeking the glory of the mountains in a unique & immersive setting. We are located in Cocke County Tennessee near the towns of Cosby and Hartford, 10 minutes from the Interstate and situated very near the boundary of the Great Smoky Mountains National Park. The natural beauty of the area is unparalleled with views of the Smokies at almost every turn. Hiking, fishing, kayaking, white water rafting, and ziplining are all within a 10 mile radius of the property. Gatlinburg, TN is a 25 minute drive and Asheville, NC is just over an hour, offering guests options for fun day trips in the area.

This spacious Geodome sleeps 6 with 1 queen bed, a twin-over-full bunk with twin underneath, and sleeper chair. Bedding and fluffy comforters provided for all (mattresses are high quality memory foam except sleeper chair & futon which include memory foam topper for added comfort) Kitchenette includes: *Small fridge & freezer *Electric cooktop with pots and pan *Toaster oven *Microwave *Coffee maker with coffee & fixings *Gas grill with bbq tools *Coffee cups, wine glasses, and drinking cups *Disposable plates, bowls, and cutlery Your private bathhouse is steps away with a flushing toilet, vanity sink, and hot shower with shampoo, conditioner, body wash, provided as well as dish soap and sponge for washing dishes. You’re welcome to explore our 10 acres of property including 900 ft of creek frontage, a hiking trail to the ridge, and mountain views. We ask that you do not enter any other of our glamping spots. No one else has access to your dome or your private bathhouse. Running water is provided in your private bathhouse next door to the dome. This is where you'll wash dishes and access water for coffee, cooking, and drinking. You'll find a large pitcher of cold water waiting for you in the fridge when you arrive. We will offer directions that avoid the worst roads but you will encounter gravel and a few ruts coming into the property. Any vehicle can make it fine when taking it slow but a larger vehicle with higher clearance is preferred. Only in winter when there is snow and ice is 4wd recommended. We provide coffee, creamer, sugar, snacks, plus all the bedding, towels, soap, TP, etc that you’ll need for your stay. The Cosby entrance to the Great Smoky Mountain National Park is 3 mi in one direction, rafting on the Pigeon River is 3 mi in another direction, and we can show you some beautiful fishing spots for bass & trout less than 3 miles from our place. This 21’ 1972 Airstream Globetrotter includes all of the amenities you might expect with a small studio apartment or tiny home. Get ready for a nostalgic glamping experience in the mountains. The almost full-size bed & petite bathroom is perfect for us (5’11” & 4’11”) but may be less comfortable for others. We also have a fold-out sofa that turns into a bed for a 3rd guest. The kitchenette includes a 2-burner propane stovetop, microwave, mini-fridge & freezer, coffee maker, and small toaster oven in the closet. You’ll be nice & toasty in the winter and cool in the summer with a space heater, rooftop AC, and portable fan. Minutes from rafting & kayaking on the Pigeon river or hiking in the National Park and skip the traffic by going the back way to Gatlinburg. Another listing includes a spacious 800sf tent for an extra “bedroom” with fan & electric blankets for comfort most of the year. This 19’ 1963 Airstream Globetrotter includes all of the amenities you might expect with a small studio apartment or tiny home. Get ready for a nostalgic glamping experience in the mountains. The full-size bed & petite bathroom is perfect for most but less spacious than the typical bath. We also have a twin-size day bed for a 3rd guest. Additionally, you'll find a table that seats 6, fully-equipped kitchen and bathroom with vanity, flushing toilet, and hot shower. Upstairs in a loft space there is room for two more full-sized beds for a recommended capacity of up to 6 guests. The story continues outside with a creekside covered slate-lined deck that you’ll never want to leave, rain or shine. Creekside Airstream Retreat
Enjoyed my quick stay at Jamey’s glamping site. Frida is very cozy and has all the basic things you need to glamp. Love that it by the water and can hear the water sound. Perfect place to unplug!

We loved staying here! It was a very quiet area and so nice to wake up with the sounds of the stream right next to us. This was our first time going to gatlinburg area and it was awesome to be able to come back each day and relax in our cute airstream. Jamey was also very helpful and made sure our stay was as relaxing as possible. They helped set up the airstream before we got there since it was pouring by the time we got there! Next time we go to gatlinburg area, we will definitely be staying with Jamey again!

The location is perfect if you’re looking for somewhere that’s really tranquil and close to the nature. Really enjoyed the creek in front of our airstream. The airstream itself is also very lovely. I like its vintage style.

My friends and I had a great stay at Wanderlust Woods. We found it to be a great mixture of comfort and camping, all at a reasonable price. We especially enjoyed the fire pit and the grill, in addition to the many hiking trails in the vicinity. Jamey was very accommodating and communicative. Highly recommend if you are visiting the Smoky's.

Slate Crossing: Creekside Dome
My two daughters and I had an amazing stay in our creekside dome! The decorations were cool, the beds were incredibly comfortable, and the host was very responsive. We enjoyed the sounds of the creek, making smores under our dome in the wood stove, and snuggling on the couch together watching movies. During the day, it was a short drive to all of our favorite activities in the Smokies!

Amazing space- remote but little camping community. Running water, shower, and toilet. Creek is perfect space for kids to play. Bedding was super comfortable. Messages were answered quickly. Def gonna stay again!

I loved tent camping, the host was very accomodabile and responsive. The location was just perfect, right outside of the Great Smokey Mountains! Very close to Gatlinburg! Me and my friends had a very good time, in spite of the light chilly weather, We had a cozy fire going!

The “Marianne” Airstream trailer was quite cozy and clean. Everything I needed was provided, including coffee and towels. Having WiFi was really nice, since I was not able to get a signal. And the instructions and directions left both online and in the binder in the trailer were very helpful and easy to follow. Communication was good. Thank you.

The camp tent was beautiful and everything is decorated beautifully. Everything we needed was there and we found the location easily. The 2 days we stayed, it rained. While we were able to relax inside, I wish we should have been able to see outside. The windows wear not clear and were opaque. You could not see anything. Even rain is beautiful to look as well.

We stayed in the Frida airstream and it was very nice. The air condition worked very well and the shower in the bathroom was a nice touch. It was very nice with the creak running right behind the camper. I would’ve liked to have had a standup grill outside. The place is definitely remote, so be prepared to have all of your information downloaded because you cannot get Wi-Fi there. We had to get a password from our neighbors, but we’re never able to connect our phones to make calls. But overall, it was a wonderful trip and a very unique experience

Wanderlust Woods was amazing!! Inside the Shiny Tiny airstream was really spacious. I loved all of the amenities inside like sink, toilet, shower, and tv. I found the binder and suggestions really helpful. I look forward to coming back with more friends!

Horrible and dangerous experience!

I have used hipcamp many times and I have NEVER had an experience so horrible! I usually use it to backwoods camp but I thought we’d try out glamping while we were on vacation. For starters the lodging sites are in terrible shape! The original attempt at staying in our selected site, the tent was absolutely covered in mold and smelled awfully. The mold was visible, inside and out. You could touch it and come away with mold. There was also an active wasp nest inside the window of the tent. We contacted the host and he moved us to an airstream on the same property. Unfortunately, this “upgrade” was significantly worse! We opened it up and the whole thing smelled terribly of propane, like someone had left it pumping into the unit. Some of the windows wouldn’t open at all and the ones that did had no screens so bugs were just flying in to the light inside. We had no real way to air it out. We contacted the host AGAIN and he said he’d have to charge us more to move us again! Neither place was safe to sleep in! We needed a place to stay so we tried to make it work there. Unfortunately, one of the people in our party was vomiting within half an hour of being inside. We let the host know and he didn’t respond. We ended up driving back roads to the nearest town at 11PM to find a safe place to sleep and paying another couple hundred for a hotel. Avoid this place at all costs! The images are misleading and the host is doing nothing but scamming people regardless of their safety.

The spot is fabulous! Right off the river with peaceful flowing sounds. The campsite is quiet and maintained. Everything you need to feel at home is provided. The host Jamey is so considerate and even accommodated a last minute change to our plans. We can’t recommend this spot enough!

Streamside Airstream near Rafting
Great spot away from the crowded touristy areas with a babbling brook right on the edge of the site! Other campers are closer than I would like but still a cool place. Host was very responsive and helpful. The AirStream was spotlessly clean, cozy, and comfortable. We would definitely stay here again : )

The Perch @ Wanderlust Woods
Wonderlust Woods is a great spot. Close to some amazing adventures, but far enough away you still feel like your away from everything. By day the ample shade and cool brook create a wonderful atmosphere while Wonderlust Woods turns into a magical forest at night. The tents were roomier than we expected and the many unlisted amenities were an absolute bonus. Jamie is a great host and was very responsive to our needs.

Excellent glamping site! My son loved the little stream! We stayed in the tent, the bed was very comfortable! The projector, of course you can only watch at night, was a great touch! Will be returning when the domes are ready :)
