Best for self-contained campers. There are no toilets, showers, or potable water at this Hipcamp.
Camp next to a bubbling stream, just 5 miles off I 40, you are in the middle of the Smoky Mountains. Many state and national parks minutes away by car for great hiking, fishing and water activities. Rafting companies, close by, a 7 minute drive down the road. Short hike on the property up 3/4 mile up the fire road to a beautiful outlook. This is a dry camping spot. Wood for purchase is available for camp fires from caretaker, generous hug of wood $10. Please pack out your trash (drop off trash site 1 mile down the road on your way back out). Fire pit and small round tables available for use. Space has 3 camp sites, please park in your designated spot. There is a communal fire pit area (pull up your own camping chairs, rough wood seating area for looks only not for use). It is a dry camp only, spot is designed for self-contained campers. Caretakers, John and Jennie Faison are up the street at 4565 Raven View Rd (do not disturb Red Container House occupants). You can walk up the street to their spot if you have any questions or call them at either of these two numbers, 919-345-9667 or 919-345-9575. They offer a big "hug" of wood that you can pre-purchase ahead on Venmo (Jennifer Faison @hospitablehomes, 4 digit phone 9667) for $10. They will have it placed ahead of time at your spot. Entrance is across the street from where the two streets connect. Look for concrete bridge and red container and you have found Smoky Creek. Note: landscape work is on various Tuesday or Wednesday afternoons 12-3pm.

This site has your own little nook of the stream to enjoy. Great for a little soak or inflatable to relax in on the edge while your toes dip in the cool water. Very small site best for small teardrop camper or tent (must still have own self contained toilet facility that can be carried out with you as you leave).

That was fun. We stayed at BBB's and had such a nice time. Even cold plunged in the stream. There is so much to do around there and it is nice to know that we can always come back at a reasonable price whenever we want a get-a-way. We drove right up. Super easy and super quiet too. I just enjoy that area. We will be back and stay here again. It was convenient too to get that firewood bundle.

Pulled in and camped right next to the water. Great quite spot all to myself. Loved dipping toes in the stream. Lovely setting. I will be back and camp here again. The hiking around the area is so amazing!!
